The Greenfield Valley, Flintshire, Part 3 - Greenfield Dock

Very little remains today of Greenfield dock & harbour, but in the 18th century it's fair to say that without it the nearby Industry of Greenfield Valley simply wouldn't have existed.
Join me in this next part of The Greenfield Valley series as I search for the remains of Greenfield Dock and look at an innovative solution to the River Dee's notorious silt problem.

Thank you. A good look round the site, which I can liken in several ways to my favourite - Sharpness, in Gloucestershire - which is still a working dock today. Very pleased to discover the abandoned Holywell Station from your maps too!
