Hey, good to see you. I can appreciate what you are saying. There is the $100 coupon now on Amazon and SwitchBot. At $399, that is what I paid for my Roomba on sale. I would say this performs way better. Once you add that self emptying bin, that price jumps. It would be cool to see a mini with just a dock. Thanks for watching.
Already jumped the gun, bought one with the 1 year kit, with 20% off. Gonna replace my year old Dreame F9, which I was happy with, as my first robot vacuum. It's gonna go to my dad now. This one just has such an ideal form factor for my weird lay-out appartement
@@CraigsTechTalk I received it this friday. While I'm very happy with the form factor. The mapping leaves a lot to be desired. My dreame F9 mapped without error. The switchbot mapped everything perfectly. But after the first cleaning it did, the map and rooms were all messed up afterwards. I have a small entry between my hallway, bathroom and living room. That small entry was moved and spread out, all under my living room. And where the entry was originally, all those other rooms came together instead. Resetting and remapping gave the exact same results each time.. And splitting rooms could go better too.. the app colours in too much, outside of the actual rooms, where thick walls are for example, which makes it so you can't split where you want to split.. so now I deserted to only mapping my living room and kitchen..
In the longrun its better and simpler to adapt your room for the robot.😂 Remove unecessary furnitures/legs/carpets. You can always mount stuff to the wall instead. And since most objects sitting close to a wall. Mount it partly then only having 2 legs. The robot can now reach those areas. And if the sofa for example is to low use taller legs or level it with wood pieces. Mount all cables on the wall also. Suddenly a full size robot can reach most places. So do you 😂
Glad you found the channel and are enjoying the videos. That is great to hear. I appreciate you leaving a comment and hope you enjoy your new vacuum. I am still using mine regularly.
Having 1 edge sweeper is a no-sale for me. Also being a smaller vacuum means the bin is also smaller which means it will have to go back to it's charging bin to empty itself out and continue. Definitely not suitable if you have a large space as it could take hours to clean 1 area. However if you live in a small apartment then it has value.... Also, you didn't mention battery capacity as that will determine how long it takes to charge and how often... needless to say, for what it does it's pretty expensive... I just picked one up with dual edge sweeper brushes, 3000pa of suction, no brushhead so no hair entanglement , a microfiber mop attachment and laser mapping, for $130, granted, it has no self emptying dock but emptying it yourself shouldn't take more than 1 minute. The bigger bin also means it you don't have to empty it as frequently and it can sweep the room on 1 charge which by the way, runs for 2 hrs before recharging.😜 I know they sponsored your video so you couldn't point out the cons about this vacuum...you should make another in a few months that is not sponsored to see if you still recommend it.🤔
good luck contacting tech suppoort if, say, your brand new Robot Vacuum K10+ keeps getting a "brush stuck" error. They don't answer thier phone AT ALL..... and email support is spotty and they ask for details to setup a repair then stop responding. I can't fathom all the raves from TH-cam reiewers except they probobly have a special phone # to call that gets answered. Is normal folks seem to be out of luck.
This does look great and like the mini size to get it to go into spaces others cant. This is something I would want to be working when I am not at home. Would it be possible to set up that on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday if my Ring Alarm is set at any time of the day meaning no one is home then it starts to clean. Only down side is the price and the fur clogging up the brush. Would be great if it sent a message via Alexa when I come home and switch off the Alarm that Alexa then reminds me to remove the fur. This would be true Smart home for me.
I can understand what you are saying. I just tried to write a routine. You can have the trigger be arming the alarm and the action be power on the K10+. You can even choose one of the 4 suction modes when it triggers. If you are running it when you turn on the alarm. You could have a disarm the alarm routine that tells you to clean the brush. You can even pick the days that these routines would be active

I wasn't even in the market for a home robot but SwitchBot aught to take note, after this video I'm getting one.
Wow, this is just the size I need for my basement. Other robot vacuums I have are too big. Thanks for reviewing.
Thank you. I is a great size. It weaves through tight spaces. Thanks for watching.
Looks great! Price point seems a little high. I wonder if they'll go on sale during Black Friday.
There's a $100 off coupon right now but it's still pretty pricey

Great video Craig. I may try this for my condo
Thank you Nick. I appreciate you. Have a great weekend.
I live in a flat share and bought it for my room. if i close the door will it just map my room ?.
It will only map your room. With Lidar, I have seen it map out my pantry that was closed. But it will not map the whole house from in your room.
