I don't really see this one being all that useful as a mop, but I guess it's nice to have. Given its size, I worry about its battery. This would be amazing for a smart dorm!
I love this option for my master bedroom/bathroom. My partner hates how much dog hair is on the carpet and would love to vacuum everyday. this would be a great option. plus, our master bath is all tile with a massive walk in shower so the mop option would be great for that while staying in the "same room" and being able to map the bathroom separate from our bedroom
If you’re experiencing carpal tunnel problems in your thumb 3:43 like I was then switch how you’re thumbing and scrolling your IPhone. Use an extended index finger from your other hand instead of your thumb. I also cut those back pain pads like “Tiger Balm” patches until they’re just big enough to cover the painful joint plus just a little bit more on each side. I wear this overnight for a few nights in a row to cure myself of the pain. I had two injections before I learned what was causing it. The doc said one more injection then it’s surgery. I was a surgical assistant so I knew that he was right but I didn’t want to go that route. This solution worked 100 percent for me. ❤️💪🏼😎👍🏼❤️
Thanks for sharing Randy, although it won't help my particular situation (hopefully it'll help someone else though!). I broke my hand and wrist in a recent car accident. That's why you'll see me wearing the brace on my wrist in some shots. I'm sure you'll be seeing it in some future videos for a while.
This robo vacuum seems most capable and the small size is compelling for my small building that houses just my home office. That said, I’m comparing in my mind how many times I pay my maid to also include the office, the percent of that effort which goes to the floors, the average daily/biweekly need of the floors to be cleaned, and the value side here is hard to justify. I could pay my maid for over two years of floor cleaning before I’d break even. I know I spend all kinds of money for far less useful SmartHome items, but this items allows for a cost effectiveness comparison to a real life situation (the maid). It only works as I only have to pay a small add on for my office cleaning when she’s cleaning the house, so my scenario is just for me. I was hoping you were going to say $299, but alas. Great review as always. Thanks for the detailed kicking of the tires.
Just clicked on the Amazon (US Store) link you provided and there is a $100.00 off coupon already which make this $399.00 plus sales tax. If you are an Amazon Prime member (I am), then you also get Free Shipping and Free Returns.
Nice review but theres something REALLY important nobody is mentioning... and im so surprised to see yours "work"... My home is all carpet with hard floors ONLY in the Kitchen and Bathroom. When unpacking the base station it specifically says it must be installed on a HARD floor...... I was really surprised to see this as its a vacuum that cleans carpets so how is everyone supposed to have a hard floor area thats suitable... I dont. Anyway I ignored the instruction and put the base station on a carpet... now my carpet is VERY short pile and shorter than yours in the video BUT the robot would NOT dock despite trying many times. It simply couldn't make millimetre adjustments on a carpet to successfully hit the charge connection. This, to me, is really silly - buyers of a vacuum may well not have any hard floors and therefore nowhere to place the charging dock. This could EASILY have been solved by Switchbot including a small plastic tray (removable if not needed in some homes) that gave the 2 foot area in front of the dock a reasonable surface to allow the robot to connect correctly. So, the rest of the vac im pleased with and theres a $100 discount until black Friday.... at $399 it's a compelling buy. To me the size is also suitable for a larger house because its small size gets in-between furniture and legs that others cannot. I have put an old mat underneath the charging dock now that doesnt look pretty but the surface is smooth enough to enable the robot to dock. SWITCHBOT PLEASE sort this - so many people will end up returning the vac if they dont happen to have a hard floor room suitable as without it the whole thing simply doesnt work. Shane, im amazed to see your dock working on a medium pile carpet!! whats your secret? :-)
I have not encountered this issue. Good to know, and thanks for sharing. Maybe they will add a small plastic floor piece in the future. I've seen something similar on other robot vacuums. Seems like a reasonable solution.
Yes I believe you would still need a switchbot hub for the cloud services. I don't think switchbot bluetooth devices can pair directly to Homey Pro (pretty sure it uses the cloud services).

How does it work on black floors. My old Roborock s50 had to have cliff sensor covers in order to work on black carpet and flooring.
Not a single word about filtration. Does this thing blow micro-dust and pollen all over? Is the dust collection HEPA?
I don’t understand the point of the hub if it supports matter. Hoping that requirement goes away come January
Probably a matter bridge.
@@dit100 the thing is that it is Wi-Fi connected. With this thing just being released, it should have supported matter 1.2 out of the box.
@@Techlifeandmore yeah but is the vacuum WiFi connected or the base.
@@dit100 you would think it would be the vacuum. That is how every other robot vac is. However, you do bring up a good point.
can it map a whole house or do you have to physically move it from room to room?
Sure, as long as rooms are connected it and it can physically travel from room to room.
@@ShaneCreates Thanks for clarifying. You kept mentioning it was so easy "moving it from room to room" so I inferred such a limitation. Thanks!
Are you reviewing the S10?
Yes I plan to. Excited to check it out.
Can you set up a shortcut for it to vacuum a certain room?
Yeah he shows that
@@eyeDavid I didn’t see him telling it to vacuum a specific room though. Only to start the vacuum.

328 views. 4.5k thumbs up. Hmmmm. 😂
TH-cam mobile is bugged. It shows the likes of the videos you watched before. For me it shows 49k likes
Through a browser it shows 91.
wow, it’s not actually a tiny house in a couple minutes

DONT buy SwitchBot products on their Matter promise. It’s still in BETA and has many limitations and bugs today.
Don't buy any product based on a promise...
