Hey mate, a little tip for next time, there's illumination power behind the stereo I used this for my gauges when the lights are on the gauge lights come on saves running wire all the way to the front 👍
Hi Will. Good to see a young bloke having a go. Your dad must be proud. My young bloke has just purchased a 2006 GXL with a 1HD , FTE and your videos motivate him to do mods. Not bad for a first car....... wish I had of had one of those. The motor performs like a Swiss watch. All the best from the Hunter Valley NSW.
Thanks so much for your kind words! It means a lot that I can be of motivation to him! The only way to learn is to get in there and give it a go, I wish you both the best of luck with it all. The 1HD-FTE is a very hard motor to beat. It will serve him well!
Have to be happy with that job Will, you guys work so well together, another great job that you made look easy, I have been wondering what goes with all of that and now I know.
Never even thought of blind riveting MDF to aluminium like the way this was made, sure makes it a lot quicker to make, will have to give that a go some time, sort of got hooked on the idea for a roof console for the lux now... 😊
Thanks mate I appreciate that! You can get wires through the main loom Gromit down near the brake master cylinder. It’s easily visible from the engine bay. Get a length of wire coathanger or something and tape your power wires to that, then thread it all through to the drivers footwell under the dash. Nice and easy to run from there! In my turbo gauges video, I walk you through it a bit!
@@nathanaelcotton6813 there quite possibly is, I haven’t done a whole lot of research into it. It’s not impossible to splice and extended that coax cable, but not much fun either
Mine mounted where the rear view mirror mounts. Take those screws out and the mirror off and in theory you should be able to screw the mirror and console up together
Thanks! The cruiser runs cooler with the new injectors and the fuel economy has improved slightly! Seems to take a lot more effort to get the EGTs up there so that’s great
Interesting you reckon they were easy to deal with, good product but old mate running the business was quite rude and painful to deal with for my purchase, customer service needs some work

I like the idea of using the trailer wire - keeps it neat and simple.
Will try remember that when the time comes.
its a brilliant idea. at the end of the day, cable is just cable.
From just roof consoles thanks for your purchase of your roof console looks great
You guys make an amazing console, I hope this video brings you heaps of business! Thank you so much :)
Console looks great, your rig is coming together
your soldering is really nice.

Cheers Anton! One of my favourite mods for sure 👍👍
Nicely done!!
Great job looks so much better
Look forward to the 12v setup video
Greetings from O HI O !!! MOST AWESOME JOB !!!
Good stuff mate!
Awesome video. Where did you get your led lights with the switch from??
Looks mad mate

was hoping youd actaully build the console from the title. Ofcourse they are easy when someone else designs and fabs it.
How did you run the power through the firewall will? Thanks for the vid ! Keep it up

Looks sweet how did you go with uhf aerial wire length didnt struggle to make it reach?
As much as it pained me to do so, I did have to extend it. Haven’t ever had a problem with range or reception though so must have gotten it right!
@@WillsLandcruiser is there an extension you can just plug in sorta thing?

These are over $400 in America from ARB
What uhf and aerial do you have and where did you get them from?
Running an oricom 300 and a uniden aerial. Can’t remember where I got the UHF, but aerial from super cheap
I have currently waited almost 12 months and sadly I don't think I will receive it at all. Probably not see my money either!
How didyou mount at front? I purchased one but screws provided don't work.

@@WillsLandcruiser yeah, I didn't get the correct bolts supplied. Had to run to bunnings. Thanks mate
Nice!😎
How does your Cruiser feel after injector replacement?

Smick as👌

Did you end up using his services
Yeah I did mate, was really happy with the product but dealing with him whilst he was manufacturing was a pain, his customer service isn’t great
Don’t promote this bloke. It’s taken 6months to get a console since I ordered, arrived different to specified and light doesn’t fit.
Sadly I have heard some feedback similar to yours lately. A bit disappointing
