I am a Max Fan as well. I have a F.I.G.H.T., an FR 1, a Sitka, a Kodiak, a Fatboy and a Jumbo. I love them all and use them regularly.
I noticed the same thing with one of my car kits. Luckily it wasn't an emergency. I was so surprised to see all the useless first aid stuff I had. Good video. Very helpful.
Good advise about checking and updating your med kit. I did the same thing. Had not looked in my kit for years. When i needed it for a minor emergency, I found it was severely degraded. Almost to the point of being unusable. It was a good lesson on routinely checking and keeping all my gear in good order.
My wife just bought me the jumbo versipack for my b'day. It arrives on Monday. I can't wait.
I outfitted the internal pockets the opposite of yours - blood stop on bottom, pills and liquids on top. Reasoning behind that, was the little bottles of fluid and such would be upright during carrying, and would be less likely to fall toward the bottom and become loose. I also put the "boo-boo" kit in the outside pocket, below the flap - so that bandaids and sting packets were accessible without opening big pocket.

the d rings also make a great way to attach an emergancy pouch to your tripp pants form hottopic and turn them into a styling pair of tactical cargo pants!!

Oh, man, I am SO Guilty of this. My yacht medical kit is about 30 freaking years old and is nearly all original. The iodine is still full, though.

Thanks Sootch, l'm adding this to my wish list. I need to upgrade my FAK. I really like how they did the separate PALS retention. My son Beach's FAK, if I remember right has only the velcro PALS panel on the back, and it's gotten ripped off his plate carrier accidentally more than once. Having the PALS portion extend up, over and then fasten in the front really looks secure.

I actually bought a lot of Maxpedition gear of your recommendation. I work as a paramedic in Germany and was looking for an IFAK Pouch, so I ordered the FIGHT today. Hope it fits my bill.
just pointing out something i think you may have missed, by the looks of it, when you have the main section removed from the outer and opened up, i think you can hang it off something using the red carry handle and the way the inside pouches are orientated, it looks like everything stays inside. hope that made sense, cheers
Sootch The pouch seems awesome. I am a medic and I have the 5.11 medical pouch is similar but what make the pouch awesome is the fact that is totally detachable from the rig either chest or tight rig. Sootch I am getting one, so I have a 5.11 medical pouch for sale very cheap...LOL Good Job My friend... Oh because of you My AR has a Leatherwood CMR no more Eotech.

Great vid Sootch ...Just picked up a North Amercan Rescue Product squad medic bag it was hooked to a Condor cross draw vest , picked it up at the jockey lot for $15 not real sure about the condor but the med bag is made for the U.S. mil. ... Take care and God bless ...

I believe Maxpedition copied Condor Tactical's MA41 bag with that rip-away design. Check out the Condor MA41 Sootch, you'll really like it. I think it's the best First Aid bag on the market, price considered.

hey Sootch00, what would you recommend as a heavy loaded level 1 medical kit, the "FIGHT medical pouch" or the "FR-1 survival pouch"? Both for room and organization capabilities. The FIGHT looks like a superior design for a medic kit with the rip away feature, but the FR-1 seems to have more organization features for easy identification of gear placement. Thanks for all your great vids man, keep up the good work.
Excellent review and coverage. I use the Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack for EDC and it works great. Their products are super tough. Thanks for the review. Medical and first aid is too often ignored. And getting it organized and packed in not so easy. This FIGHT pouch looks like a great option for carrying first aid supplies. Is this the best system you have used so far?

@xPOSSUM45x MOLLE refers to any equipment that attaches to the MOLLE system, so basically everything, lol. Rucks/packs/pouches/vests/platforms/etc... are all pieces of MOLLE equipment. PALS refers to the actual webbing system itself. MOLLE=MOdular Lightweight Loadbearing Equipment, PALS=Pouch Attachment Ladder System. Regardless of all that mumbojumbo, in common speak the terms are pretty much used interchangeably, but now you know the REAL terms, and knowing is half the battle. GI JOEEE

Did you compare this to the maxpedition fr-1?
If you're talking first aid, you have to mention USNERDOC! He provides some great advice on FAKs and even offers .pdf lists of what he includes in his different kits.
Jesus Christ man, you buy all this real nice Maxpedition stuff and yet all your inner contents look like complete hell.

I like the exterior flap on the molle Velcro panel that folds over the top of the pouch, but I like the interior trifold design of the condor rip away pouch better. also like the red tear away handle on the maxp pouch.
too bad maxped doesn't make stuff in multicam. they lost me as a customer because they don't make anything in multicam, and they are phasing out their digital camo.
will this fit into the interior of the Fat boy?
I wonder if blood would actually stain this pouch. Hope somebody has some idea to this. Thanks.

Thankyou for a quick short review. Some of those first aid supplies looked older than you ! Have had the FIGHT pouch for over a year and not had to use it. Time to review my system and do some upgrades maybe. Maybe do a PDF of items to include in a Med Pouch. The TheAmericanOutfitter did a review on the Max FR-1 First Aid Kit and includes a short list in his system. And 1080P please. Also soon will have the Umbrella Corp Logo and patch; a nice addition for the pouch. Already have the blood type patch; BE prepared -the Zombies are comming. Keep up the good work.

Despite having Red on exterior the Maxpedition F.I.G.H.T. Medical Pouch is actually more a GP (General Purpose) Utility Pouch 4 a variety of kits/stuff since it doesn't have Built-In Medical Cross on the Front!
