      There's nothing wrong in thinking life doesn't begin at conception. The Bible literally says it begins at first breath in Genesis Chapter 2 Verse 7.
      Even the Catholic Church taught up until 1869 that a developing fetus did not have a human soul until "the quickening" late in the pregnancy.

      Yes. It happens when humans think they are talking to defend their beliefs. An actual conversation starts when both ask each other things like "so what got you to hold this belief so dear?" and "how can i help you see that the alternative viewpoint could also be valid?" .. may be. • @aj-sz8mu
      @aj-sz8mu 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      I assume this is a debate on abortion. The difference isnt that a human isnt worthy. Is your egg or sperm or embryo considered a human? If so, when a woman has a period, a potential child was not born, thus died, thus aborted. An embryo in a lab is the same thing. Each has a "potential" to be a human being. I assume we're all logical that a period is normal and women shouldnt be pregnant every 9 months to keep that egg alive. So then when do these start defining it a human? at conception some would argue. At 6 weeks, at 12 weeks etc. Is it pain, is it the heartbeat, which defines it? The answer to that varies per person. What is true however is that a fetus cant survive without its mother, but the mother has autonomy towards her own body. Once we've come up with a way to take the baby alive from the mother's womb whenever she doesnt want the baby and help it live, then abortion should be abolished. But we don't have that. The mom as an individual loses her rights to the baby which is wrong.

      Women aren't gaining rights by the right to choose, they are being stripped of the right to their motherhood; and for what? A job in where no one tells them that they are loved, and that they are wonderful? That they can't imagine what life would be like without them?
      People have substituted children with virtue signaling and have convinced themselves that it's better than being a parent. They demand the love and respect that they expect from a child they don't have from an uncaring world, and get all angry when that uncaring world gives them nothing.

      If you're saying that many anti-abortiinists don't think for themselves but go with a bias they bpicknup from preachers, that's certainly true. Catholics in particular start with a conclusion - that aborting is wrong - and then if asked for reasons, come up with an argument. It is far better to listen to both sides and decide using critical thinking.
      We all have biases, conscious or unconscious, from which it is very difficult to escape. We search for an argument that supports our presupposition and look for excuses to reject the opposing view. This can apply, in the case of abortion, to both pro and anti-abortionists.

      If it stayed as "abort only for extreme circumstances," you could probably get enough support behind it to really make it legal. Unfortunately, that's not what most women are arguing for. They want "choice." Extreme circumstances involve either very little or no choice (you either lose one life or two). "I choose not to be pregnant" is something you should think about before doing the actions that create life, not to mention that there are already morning after pills that are relatively easy to obtain. A society that would allow such callousness as ending life because it inconveniences someone is a society that won't last long. History has had many civilizations and empires that turned to killing babies for various reasons, and none of them are around anymore.

      There is also the chance of not knowing/denial to know you were pregnant until it’s too late. Both adults and teens have similar (that want the baby/calm about it happening) to drastically different actions in that situation to get rid of it after birth.

Or in the case of a good where I live people will just keep the pregnancy a secret, drink enough to cause a miscarriage and claim they had no idea they were pregnant. And that carries risk of damage to the fetus if it doesn't miscarry or might even kill the Mom.

    My exgf tried to make the argument that the life of a fly and the life of a human are the same thing. That killing a fly is like killing a human. Then I tried to make the argument of moral hierarchies, as this young lady does, but then she called me a white supremacist and colonialist for thinking that. To say one thing is better than the other inherently is colonialist in her view.

      The conservatives uses that technique all the time, simple yes or no questions, followed by an agreement. The audience then forget quicly that they didn't agree on the original statement, or being on a totaly different context. They could of won the argument using her "hiarechy" point in their favor, a mother is ranked above a fertilized eggs. Even though a fertilized egg is above a blade of grass. People forget in a debate that you have to use their own logic against them if that is what they are doing with you.

      And thats the reason why underaged girls are supposed to carry their unwanted babies? Having their teenage boyfriends commit #*uicide because they are forced to throw away their youth to raise a child they didn’t want? Girls that are r#*e victims of their own family or some predator, forced to have that child? Like it or not, the society we live in today is a society of domesticated life, where we have to concider every individuals situation to avoid them being caused harm. Religious or not, beliefs of ones future life, its more important to concider a person, than their unborn fetus

      @@thewrathofdumbledore4867As to the first scenario, it was 100% their choice and own stupidity and no one else's so yes, they would be facing the consequences. The same way people who drink and drive don't get a pass just because they're young and stupid. Actions will have consequences. Rape victims make up less than 1% of abortions and they could be exceptions since unlike the other 99% of the time, it wasn't their fault. There's also giving your baby up for adoption.
