These are very good quality trays, sorry for my comment yesterday. I was irritated with some things about my setup and looking for solutions. I spoke without realizing the amount of information that you provide to people. They are pricey trays and that’s my only beef with these. I guess they are worth it for something solid. I wasn’t upset with you NW, I was irritated with the poor quality of some products and the high price on other products. I’ve recently found your channel and you have wonderful ideas. It’s so easy to speak out of frustration without thinking and I’m so sorry for my rude behavior.
Hey no worries at all. To be fair when I said they were affordable I should have actually said that they are quality but more expensive than some other options out there. I don’t script my videos so sometimes I say things and shake my head later 😂. Also if I could make changes to them I would. I would design them to not drip outside the trays and I would make the clear plastic domes a tad more thick. Those are my main two complaints. So far.
I started growing my plants this way, I got tired with fiddling with the lids. Floppy lids were an issue, and my cats did not help. I got mine from the local nursery, so they were the cheap lids. I love the heavy duty trays. Dripping was an issue. I have switched to storage containers and like them better.
I think they both have pros and cons. The little domes I’ve found to be particularly useful for hydroponically growing more demanding plants, moss, and carpet type plants. I like storage bins for soil based grows with easy plants mainly because they are bigger.
Love the new setup! When will there be a part 3 to the anubias seed propagation? I'm working on getting my anubias to flower and getting my condition rights!
I think they both have pros and cons. The little domes I’ve found to be particularly useful for hydroponically growing more demanding plants, moss, and carpet type plants mainly because they are smaller, easier to get into, and have lots of options for inserts. I like storage bins for soil based grows with easy plants mainly because they are bigger. Im still going through pretty vigorous testing with the domes but I’m sold on them for the purposes mentioned already. The more I do this the more I realize having options is great. Not every species requires or wants the same kind of setup. 👍
Hey mate, I use similar containers to grow emersed aquarium plants outdoors. As the temperature plunges with winter here in Australia I’ve been thinking of moving them indoors. Your rack setup looks good so I’ll follow this project with interest. Cheers Pete
I sell aquarium plants! All sales help support this channel. Here’s a link to my website 🌱 nwaquahobby.com

Great video!! Your channel seems really cool!! Just subbed too!!
Can you do a vid how to set up a humidity dome for stem plants start to finish?
I use smaller food container and shoe rack! It's nice and compact

Hey, which shelf do you use for your plant farm and can you recommend it?
Hey mate,
