Ahhh this explains why songs I download from record pools have random cue points that make no sense at all! Use your ears folks, it’s the best tool you have....if they work.
I did this and now all of my tracks are renamed the exact same thing and nothing I do will reset it. I uninstalled serato, I re analyzed in mixed in key, I deleted them and changed the folder, etc. Nothing works. Mixed in Key ruined my entire library and it seems like I will have to go and rename them all manually.
I see that the software giving the correct key result and set automatic cue points.... is that all? what about the beatgrid of uncorrect bpm ... exmpl serato is showing 70 bpm of a trance track but correct bpm is 138 ... when I upload the track to mixed and key it is showing the correct bpm when you play and check the cue points ... is there a way to upload the track with correct bpm to serato from mixed in key?
If you don't want to analyze your entire library, DRAG & DROP individual folders, crates and files onto the "ANALYZE" button. **** Your hardware (i.e., physical mixer) has to be powered OFF for the Analyze button to appear in Serato.
not sure what's going on. can you pleaase shoot us an email at contact@mixedinkey.com and refer to this issue? We will take a look into this for you :)
I have been wondering the SAME THING! The only feature that I see thats different & done automatically is the Energy Level feature. Other than that, I still haven't found anything that is different or worth spending the money on it. @ MIK can you please inform us what's the difference between using the built in analysis within Serato. I mean I've had great success with using the Key & Bpm that I recieve when I scan them. With the exception of some tracks being shown in double time (ie 140 Bpm, when they're actually 70 Bpm) but other than that its good IMO.
@@carlos_mann If you're a Serato DJ and never set your own cue points with your music, I'd love to know how you DJ using Serato. I need to learn that trick.
Is there a better tutorial that shows step by step for setting up MIK within SERATO? I'm at the end but not sure if I am loading my music correctly. I have gigs of music so I'm doing by year first to make sure its working but I don't know when I'm done.
We have some written tutorials like this one: mixedinkey.com/integration/serato-integration/ let me know if it helps :) If you have some specific questions, you can also shoot us an email at contact@mixedinkey.com and we can help you from there :)
Did you ever figure out how to load the music without any issues? I’m about to go down that road. I just bought the RANE Performer. So I’ll be loading my music, which are all WAV files, from MIK to Serato DJ Pro. I keep reading that some people have issues, while others do not. I just can’t figure out for the life of me what people are doing to avoid issues. There is a section on MIK called Rename Files. Under that section are two options: Do not rename files and Automatically rename files after processing. As of this moment, I’m thinking I choose ‘Automatically rename files after processing.’ Not sure if this is one of the questions you had. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Have a good night!! ✌️
yes it can, it does automatically, just follow this tutorial as it is described there 1:16 ** analyzing for BPM and Beatgrid in your DJ software first is recommended that the cue points line up. DON'T USE TRAKTOR, IT DELETET ALL MY TAGS ON M4A FILES!!!! The ''write tags to files'' option in traktor was turned off and it should just analyze BPM and Beatgrid, even then it deletet all the tags. go with all other DJ software but save yourself the nerves of rolling on your backup of your music collection over and over to find out if it was traktor or mixed in key that was the issue... it was TRAKTOR... **
I’m about to import my WAV files from Mixed In Key into Serato DJ Pro. I keep reading that people are having issues when doing this. Therefore, I ask: Since I’m using WAV files and a MacBook Pro m3, I must check the ‘Automatically rename files after processing’ option under the Rename Files section? Right? If that is indeed correct, is there anything else i should be aware of when using WAV files, or does it no longer matter? Last I read, aiff files seemed to give people the least trouble. Just trying to figure all of this out. Thank you. 🙏
It looks like MIK doesn't export CUE points for wav files, is that correct? Unusually, every time I open Serato Dj it re-analyzes the wav files from the beginning, as if they were fresh. No probs with MP3 instead! Any help on that? thx!!!
Can you please shoot us an email and let us know exactly what's not working? We will be able to troubleshoot it from there (contact@mixedinkey.com). Thank you :)
We do not make any adjustments to the beat grid itself, we get all the info from the DJ software, but we don't make any adjustments to it. Best , Mixed in Key

Is there any ways of showing MIK track ratings in serato?
I don't think we have a way of doing that now, but I've added your suggestion to our Wishlist for future updates :)

Convert all your wav files to FLAC!
Problem solved!
Terrible… cued up my whole library with random cue points and changes the title of my tracks and I cannot reverse this
Its importand to know, that youre Anti-Virus programm can block Mixed 10 because its changed setting of your data.
The vdj didn't work
That did not work at all
Yeah this didn't work for me either. I see 8 cue points in MIK and only the first cue point or none at all register in Serato
Now I'm skeptical about getting it.. The only reason was to get the cue points..
