This seems so complicated going through all of these steps everytime you add new tracks to your Rekordbox library ...I hope you will make this easier and more simple in future updates
@@Nono-mm6zs yeah one would think so, but not in my case ...half the time I export cue points from MIK they don't show up in Rekordbox even if I reload the rekordbox XML section as pointed out in the video. But if I re-export my entire library once again from Rekordbox and then export hot cues from MIK, then go back to Rekordbox once again I will now be able to hit that reload button and the newly analyzed tracks will appear and I can add them to my library... But again, such a tedius way to do things! And just to add to the complexity my journey begins way before all of this as I use iTunes as my primary library before adding to Rekordbox... Just wish all of this could be more seamless... 😅
@@krunge This is extremely frustrating... I wish they were more detailed. If I want to add more songs into my rekordbox, do I need to export another XLM file to get them analzlyed?
@@steam2277 I've had the same frustrating experience and support is not really good at getting back to you. I just keep getting rubber-stamp replies. If I advise them this did not work, all I hear are crickets. Yeah, so I've had to reimport my entire collection again into MIK and then bring it back to RB. Glad I got this at half price.
Hello my friend, I follow all of the steps for this integration, all my collection appear as if it is analyzed in mixed in key with energy lebel and key, I also changed all of the settings in rekordbox but when i put re analize tags in rekordbox nothing appears.I don t know how to move forward here!
I'm attempting to use with a Mac. I believe I followed the steps exactly but when I get to the "reload tags" part, nothing happens. I've tried reloading the files to rekordbox and MIK twice and same result both times.
Can you please go to MIK -> Personalize -> Update Tags -> and make sure that the option to "UIpdate custom Initial Key" is selected? Then, re-tag the files in MIK and reload the tags in RB. Let me know if that does the trick :)
@@mixedinkey I had it checked already and no go. But when I toggled it off and back on, it worked. Then I tried again leaving it toggled on and it did not work. When I toggled it off and on again, it worked. Perhaps there is bug in that?

Hey! I'm following the video and using RKBX 5.6.8. I like to set my cue points myself, but love to use the key detection. The only thing is when I'm trying to retag, nothing happen? It doesn't update the key. Can anyone help me?
Right click the top row of your music (where it says "bpm" "key" etc,) and make sure "Comments" is selected. This will add another column named "comments" where itlll show The key and energy is shown. Hope this helps
Does the importing of the cue points only work the first time you do it? when i added more songs to mix in key after the first time doing so succesfully, none of the songs appear in the MIK playlist except the first batch of songs i did. i havent figure out a way around this other than just doing the cue points manually in recordbox ...
Same problem here, if you delete the Rekordbox XML and create an new one all of your songs are in it but there are no cue points added to the new tracks :/

This is very confusing...after hours of just trying to get everything lined up & transferred over to rekordbox (video didn't help btw for a Mac user) i was able to figure it out & the first time around everything was good with adding the automatic cue points but now every time i add new tracks to rekordbox it doesn't bring over the cue points from MIK? please help!

After selecting "import to collection" it takes about 3 seconds for every song to be imported but I have 30,000 songs I am importing. Is there a way to speed up importing? Or am I going to need to let this run for 25 hours. I am worried it will fail along the way. In this case, would I need to import playlists individually? This process is taking so long.
Why do you first add the tracks to you collection in rekordbox and analyze the grid? Isn't it possible to first analyse grid, key and set cue point and then export to rekordbox after?
Been there!. Solution: remove French or any other non-English characters in both the folder, filename and id3 tag, then re-export rb xml, then do the process again for those tracks, then it will work.
Hello, I am about to use Rekordbox, I already have mixed in key 10, after following all these steps of the tutorial for the parameters, is it possible simply to analyze its library in mixed in key (key/ energy/cue) and then drag the latter into rekordbox?, I did that with Engine dj, except that it was not possible to have the Energy and the cues. SO once I run my songs through MIK do I leave them in there for any reason or can I delete them out to get ready for a new set of tracks when I'm ready? Thanks in advance
This usually happens when you have the XML file and/or songs saved to cloud storage, these should be moved to a main drive location. And, I totally agree that the workflow is not ideal, but it was the best that we could come up with when we added this feature. We are looking into alternative solutions to make this smoother for you guys :)
Hi there I have a problem with getting the cue points in my Rekordbox.. I have a very large collection which took me 3 days to analyze with MIK. Now when I follow all the steps it is so extremely slow in getting the cue points in Rekordbox I think it will take me 5 years to complete. Even when selecting only 20 tracks it is no where as fast as is showing in this video as I type this it has spend at least 10 minutes to go towards 50% (10 tracks)... I have an very high-end machine so I am pretty sure processor power / Ram and the speed of my drives Is not the problem here, is there maybe something else I might be overlooking?
must not be a very high end machine, i have 1338 songs in my collection and was able to do this all within an hour, including watching the video 3 times to see what i was doing wrong, and exporting all cue points and getting them to show up
@@nuclearwinter4816 believe me it is an high end pc, I've build it myself... Intel I7-10850k (overclocked) 64 GB DDR4 3200mhz ram RTX 4070 TI GPU All running on super fast Nvme v-nand ssd's So im pretty sure my system should be able to handle this task.

I had a bit of trouble setting up in an optimal way as described in this video, but I'm doing everything in small steps. The point is that to re-analyze the Rekordbox collection which is made up of more than 15,000 tracks, I selected the whole collection with Command + a and did the analysis again. Is that okay ???

@@TheMirko1969 yes, I hope they improve it soon! is not automatic, I have tried to refresh the Rekordbox xml but only when you save and export a new xml the MIK recognize new tracks added... If you dont want to change the rest of the tracks already analized, You have the option to export cue point from existing files in MIK, so dont use it and just move the new tracks...
Same problem here... export full xml of rekordbox, analize all... update play list... (many hours) and tomorrow, if I have 50 songs more, repeat the process and crossing fingers because sometimes wont work! I want a refound, sorry but that is not practice for active djs.

french, spanish, foreign characters not allowed. All characters in folder, file, album, & artist id3 tags must be ASCII standard. Also, no #, $, ", ", etc. Those are the few I found (common across my missing files) :) For example: track (beyoncé - single ladies) will be excluded because of the é in "beyoncé"
Wken I choose "Export Cue Points For Existing Files" the program shows "Updateing External Collection(s)" for all the time. I waited 8 hours for it to change, but to no avail. My library is 14616 tracks.
Same here. I have 49000 tracks and it was stuck for 20hrs before using up all 32GB of ram and then crashed. Seriously considering ditching the app and get a refund.

it seems working but not for all tracks.. some tracks has no cue point updated.. even though in Mixed in Key 8 cue points status. what we do in this case? I also redo this few times.. still no luck.

Mixed In Key 10 does not work with any streaming services at the moment. But, if you are on Mac, you should definitely check it out Mixed In Key Live mixedinkey.com/live It detects the Key and BPM of any audio playing on your Mac, including from streaming services 🙂
I can't get it to work, reloading the tags in rekordbox does nothing. I can import from the XML, but then I loose tag data. Cause MIK seems not the read the tag data on the tracks.... And when I reload the tags in rekordbox again after inmorting from the XML I get back all the track information, but I loose the commenters with the keys...

Why when I analyze and song it says for example 8A but when I analyze only the vocal it says 1A for example? Why is this happening and what can I do?? And how could you do that Rekordbox analize the key of the tracks by using the analysis of Mix in key (because rekordbox sometines is wrong so I want that in Rekordbox appear the analysis of Mix in key only)??
sometimes the vocal is in a different key than the rest of the song. When a song changes key it's called a modulation. Rekordbox and MiK is analyzing the song as a whole; so some individual parts may be different but generally, MiK gets it accurate 80% of the time haha.

In the MIK CUe Point folder under Rekordbox xml, you do not need to "import as playlist"! Just go directly to the tracks and select all and import to collections. It will auto-date irrespective of which playlist the track is in

Re-export library in xml format, then proceed to analyse your new files in MIK. When you go to rekordbox, the MIK Cue Folder will be showing only your new files that need cue importation into rekordbox. shortens time
Hi i need Help :) i have rekordbox 6.6.5. and MIK 10. 1. i pu the tracks in to Rekorbox and analizing (only BPM) 2. i let these tracks analyzing by MIK with this configuration: Update tags: write only the energy level Overwrite comments Update custom "initial key...." Rename: do not rename Key notation: Camelot 3. then i am going to Rekordbox the folder and selecting all these tracks then "renew tags" Problem is: the key of the songs will not showing. i tryed many time - even i analyzed the tracks again-> bute the key is not showing!!!
Shame there isn't an easier way of doing this. I tend to wait 6 months, download a load of music off my spotify then repeat this process. Good video though, very clear. Just a bit too complex that I can never remember everything.
Totally agree. The process is a little bit complex at first, it becomes easier when you do it a few times. But, we definitely want to make it more intuitive on a future update. We are looking into this :)
I'm also feeling uncomfortable with this complication. It's quite frustrating to think about doing these steps every time and having the same problems everybody already wrote in here, specially with a large collection! I can figure that this is probably a rekordbox issue, but still - I'm from Brazil and unfortunately the MIK software costs a lot, so not only not practical, but also very expensive :(

Yeah, I agree. I hope we can find a workaround for rekordbox that works similar to the Serato workflow. I agree it's quite a process to export the cue points to rekordbox right now, but it's the only workflow we have, for now :)
There needs to be a way to streamline this process… I can’t even get new batches of songs without this whole tedious process, to which the cue points will not even export over to Rekordbox no matter what I do. It’s exhausting and frustrating. My cue points on this new batch of music won’t transfer, so what am I to do? Delete fucking everything and start again from scratch? Shit is absurd.
This program is made for mp3 files, I have problems getting alphanumerical key value on my Wav files....wich forced me to re-analyze wav tracks in rekordboks using native key detection
Please, for the love of god, find a way to integrate this directly. Whenever I update my collection with new tracks this is always a massive hassle. Its a wonderful product but the integration with Rekordbox is lacking. The worst part is, i figure out how to get it done and then have to relearn it by the time I go back to use it again months later!@@mixedinkey
I've just brought MIK10, but I cannot, for the life of me, select the rekordbox option. I can input the path, but I cannot check the box, and only Serato is showing as a box I can check. Not impressed. I emailed support who redirected me to this video, which I had already watched!

All I wish to do is have accurate BPM analysis. Rekordbox sucks at that honestly (unlike Serato) especially for non electronic music. How can I strictly update and replace my BPM analysis data with the info from Mixed in Key in my RB library? The rest of the MIK features I honestly don't need. Please let me know.
You can choose to only export the BPM info to your tracks under Settings. To do that, you will need to go Personalize -> Update Tags -> and unselect the option to "Update Common Tags". Then, select the option to "Update Tempo Tag" in that same screen, and you should be good to go. If you don't want the cue points exported, make sure to disable that option in Settings too.
I bought this program thinking it would make things easier but all this does is COMPLICATE things for me, the whole exporting and importing thing is not user friendly at all.
@@chipko ? the correct way is to import the new songs into rekordbox and analyze them, re-export rekordbox xml, open MIK 10 and wipe out MIK collection (yes delete all track in MIK "My Collections", and "Analysis Queue"!), add the new songs to MIK analysis queue, then click "export cue points" and ensure rekordbox is checked with the folder directory correctly pointing to your xml, and export. In this way, when you go to rekordbox xml tree view, the MIK Cue Points Folder will show only the new tracks and importing that to collections should not take you 3minutes! Do that for all other tracks you wish to analyze. If a track fails, it has French, Portuguese, Latino or some other non-English characters in either the id3 tag, filename or folder name. Those characters are incompatible with MIK
@@armgod1 Yo, I have a question. Its not working for me so far. The only thing I want is the correct key, but when I retag, nothing happens. Like mix in key 10 isn't linked with rekorbox. Do you know how to fix that? I'm using rkbx 5.6.8 aswell.
@@kashoogen3221 MIK key info goes to comments and does not replace rb key. Enable it in MIK tag settings, then check comments in rekordbox after importing n reloading tags.
One more reason Serato is better than Rekordbox. Just reloading the ID tags updates the key and add cue points in Serato. It is such a tedious and time consuming process with Rekordbox.

@@mixedinkey You can make this way simpler through MIK if you can get simply make the rekordbox xml file to be loaded within the MiK interface . That way the user can choose what to do with any of his playlist / song as per their need . Also thereby can see the output of MiK inside the same interface post processing . The user has to just save the xml and load it in RB and everything will work there . I know this is a bit of work but if this is done within the MiK interface it can solve the current issues rekordbox users face while making MiK more scalable and user friendly .
Followed all steps and none of it worked how it should, ended up having to manually type the key and energy for 20% of the tracks and then cue points never showed up… not great
Mixed In Key 10 update is nothing but a skin update. Nothing new has been added from Mixed In Key 8.5. everything that was broken in Mixed In Key 8.5 is still broken. don't waste your money.
On version 10, we've added the option to export cue points to rekordbox. We also improved our key detection algorithm, which was already the best and most accurate in the industry. The user interface is a lot cleaner and the analysis performance had major improvements too. So, I disagree with your point that it was just a "skin update".

@Mixed In Key & Captain Plugins SOFTWARE Can you stop asking everyone email you privately? It's a waste of our already valuable time. that we have already wasted spending HOURS analyzing files to get us to these comment's! Clearly this is some BS that can involve a lot of major troubleshooting. I don't have time to email you, I'm too busy working to pay for MIK11 or PN5. Put some of that update money you make to use and either explain to everyone in troubleshooter on the page linked above, or how about making a 10min instead of a 5min video with some of the ways this $&%^ show can go wrong? And how to fix them, that or be straight up in the comments on how to fix these issues or take down the video. Since it only works until it doesn't, you overwrite those hot cues good luck getting them back with out maybe going as far as formatting the drive. I get it is an extremely useful feature but, don't advertise something that is so finicky. That not even deleting the whole rekordbox.xml file, reinstalling rekordbox, and removing ALL your music from rekordbox and MIK and starting over will fix...it doesn't FYI. I clearly see why you skip over the whole "Edit Tags" feature of MIK10. God forbid you actually try and use 1/3 of the program and mess it up so your files cant be found, like I did the second time this travesty happened. Where's the video on fixing that debacle??? I'm pissed, I thought I had it figured out the prior to the second time. Only thing that fixed it the first time I think, was maybe when I moved my files from my main drive to Dropbox? Now after moving my files back to my PC from Dropbox and doing a big thorough organizing cleaning of duplicate's.... Shoutout, Platinum Notes RIP. Was after that I was able to get my hot cues back on again. then after I made a, Music - Copy folder. I figured last resort this would work, If I cleaned some tags and for what ever reason some files couldn't be found. Sure enough after that happened. After trying everything I mentioned above. Not even that Music - Copy folder would work. Yes it found the songs again but, my hot cues are still MIA? Yes, Mixed in Key is an AMAZING program but, for this part of it. I feel MIK should step up and go a little bit further. They know just how sketch this is, just read his replies to others comments below. Stop pissing your supporter's off and GTFO of here with the email us email at, contact@mixedinkey.com! We paid for this, now we have to wait for a reply? When you already have a platform to reach thousands right here. This frees us to work more, to pay for the updates. Gives us the time to delete all those _pn dupe file's... Most importantly keeps us playing music and not repeatedly asking WTF MIK!?

we don't have a way to compare both side-by-side at the moment, but that sounds like a cool idea that we will consider adding on future updates :)

Hey! I'm following the video and using RKBX 5.6.8. I like to set my cue points myself, but love to use the key detection. The only thing is when I'm trying to retag, nothing happen? It doesn't update the key. Can anyone help me?

Same issue and xml not connecting with mix in key10
Right click the top row of your music (where it says "bpm" "key" etc,) and make sure "Comments" is selected. This will add another column named "comments" where itlll show The key and energy is shown. Hope this helps
It only works on rekordbox version 6, that's why you are having this issue with exporting cue points.

Does the importing of the cue points only work the first time you do it? when i added more songs to mix in key after the first time doing so succesfully, none of the songs appear in the MIK playlist except the first batch of songs i did. i havent figure out a way around this other than just doing the cue points manually in recordbox ...
Same problem here, if you delete the Rekordbox XML and create an new one all of your songs are in it but there are no cue points added to the new tracks :/
Here is what you need to do for new tracks:
1. Add more tracks to Rekordbox and let them analyze.
2. In Rekordbox, go to File and choose ‘Export Collection In xml Format’ (replace it when asked).
3. Add new tracks to MIK and allow analysis to complete.
4. In Rekordbox, press the ‘Refresh xml’ button on the left tree-view.
5. Choose ‘MIK Cue Points’ from the Rekordbox xml drop down menu, sort the playlist by date added, select and right-click the newly added tracks, and choose ‘Import to Collection’.

This is very confusing...after hours of just trying to get everything lined up & transferred over to rekordbox (video didn't help btw for a Mac user) i was able to figure it out & the first time around everything was good with adding the automatic cue points but now every time i add new tracks to rekordbox it doesn't bring over the cue points from MIK? please help!

Hey, can you please go to MIK -> Personalize -> Update Tags -> and make sure to choose "Write Key and Energy Level"? That should do the trick :)

After selecting "import to collection" it takes about 3 seconds for every song to be imported but I have 30,000 songs I am importing. Is there a way to speed up importing? Or am I going to need to let this run for 25 hours. I am worried it will fail along the way. In this case, would I need to import playlists individually? This process is taking so long.

you can go into the MIK cue playlist, sort by "date added" and only select/import the new tracks. hope this helps.

Why do you first add the tracks to you collection in rekordbox and analyze the grid? Isn't it possible to first analyse grid, key and set cue point and then export to rekordbox after?

The cue points many times are not displayed in some tracks, you have to be checking them carefully
Been there!. Solution:
remove French or any other non-English characters in both the folder, filename and id3 tag, then re-export rb xml, then do the process again for those tracks, then it will work.

Hello, I am about to use Rekordbox, I already have mixed in key 10, after following all these steps of the tutorial for the parameters, is it possible simply to analyze its library in mixed in key (key/ energy/cue) and then drag the latter into rekordbox?, I did that with Engine dj, except that it was not possible to have the Energy and the cues. Thanks
SO once I run my songs through MIK do I leave them in there for any reason or can I delete them out to get ready for a new set of tracks when I'm ready? Thanks in advance

This usually happens when you have the XML file and/or songs saved to cloud storage, these should be moved to a main drive location. And, I totally agree that the workflow is not ideal, but it was the best that we could come up with when we added this feature. We are looking into alternative solutions to make this smoother for you guys :)

Hi there I have a problem with getting the cue points in my Rekordbox..
I have a very large collection which took me 3 days to analyze with MIK.
Now when I follow all the steps it is so extremely slow in getting the cue points in Rekordbox I think it will take me 5 years to complete.
Even when selecting only 20 tracks it is no where as fast as is showing in this video as I type this it has spend at least 10 minutes to go towards 50% (10 tracks)...
I have an very high-end machine so I am pretty sure processor power / Ram and the speed of my drives Is not the problem here, is there maybe something else I might be overlooking?

must not be a very high end machine, i have 1338 songs in my collection and was able to do this all within an hour, including watching the video 3 times to see what i was doing wrong, and exporting all cue points and getting them to show up

I had a bit of trouble setting up in an optimal way as described in this video, but I'm doing everything in small steps. The point is that to re-analyze the Rekordbox collection which is made up of more than 15,000 tracks, I selected the whole collection with Command + a and did the analysis again. Is that okay ???
Yes, but every time you need to use the MIK playlist with new cue points, you have to export a new Rekordbox xml file

@@TheMirko1969 yes, I hope they improve it soon! is not automatic, I have tried to refresh the Rekordbox xml but only when you save and export a new xml the MIK recognize new tracks added... If you dont want to change the rest of the tracks already analized, You have the option to export cue point from existing files in MIK, so dont use it and just move the new tracks...
Same problem here... export full xml of rekordbox, analize all... update play list... (many hours) and tomorrow, if I have 50 songs more, repeat the process and crossing fingers because sometimes wont work! I want a refound, sorry but that is not practice for active djs.

I analysed 1.3k tracks in MIK until the last step it only showed me 1.05k. Where's the rest of them???
french, spanish, foreign characters not allowed. All characters in folder, file, album, & artist id3 tags must be ASCII standard. Also, no #, $, ", ", etc. Those are the few I found (common across my missing files) :) For example: track (beyoncé - single ladies) will be excluded because of the é in "beyoncé"
When I make a playlist in Mixed in Key it does not get imported to Rekordbox am I missing a step?
It does not get imported to rekordbox. You need to create the playlists in rekordbox manually.
Wken I choose "Export Cue Points For Existing Files" the program shows "Updateing External Collection(s)" for all the time. I waited 8 hours for it to change, but to no avail. My library is 14616 tracks.

I can't get it to work, reloading the tags in rekordbox does nothing. I can import from the XML, but then I loose tag data. Cause MIK seems not the read the tag data on the tracks.... And when I reload the tags in rekordbox again after inmorting from the XML I get back all the track information, but I loose the commenters with the keys...

Why do you select the "show only energy" and not show the key too?
It's just a personal preference, but you can choose either option
rekordbox and acapellas exporting is awful the bpm is always off when analyzing. Does MIK fix this? can the BPM on RB be update it with MIK?

Why when I analyze and song it says for example 8A but when I analyze only the vocal it says 1A for example? Why is this happening and what can I do?? And how could you do that Rekordbox analize the key of the tracks by using the analysis of Mix in key (because rekordbox sometines is wrong so I want that in Rekordbox appear the analysis of Mix in key only)??
sometimes the vocal is in a different key than the rest of the song. When a song changes key it's called a modulation. Rekordbox and MiK is analyzing the song as a whole; so some individual parts may be different but generally, MiK gets it accurate 80% of the time haha.

How to you add separate playlists with cue point them ? ive got 50 playlists and thousands of tracks.
I created playlists in MIK directly and used the same to sync. Worked like a charm
In the MIK CUe Point folder under Rekordbox xml, you do not need to "import as playlist"! Just go directly to the tracks and select all and import to collections. It will auto-date irrespective of which playlist the track is in

Re-export library in xml format, then proceed to analyse your new files in MIK. When you go to rekordbox, the MIK Cue Folder will be showing only your new files that need cue importation into rekordbox. shortens time

You can edit the genre tags in Mixed In Key 10's tag editor and when you reload the tags in Rekordbox then they will show up there. :)

3. then i am going to Rekordbox the folder and selecting all these tracks then "renew tags"

Shame there isn't an easier way of doing this. I tend to wait 6 months, download a load of music off my spotify then repeat this process. Good video though, very clear. Just a bit too complex that I can never remember everything.
Totally agree. The process is a little bit complex at first, it becomes easier when you do it a few times. But, we definitely want to make it more intuitive on a future update. We are looking into this :)
I'm also feeling uncomfortable with this complication. It's quite frustrating to think about doing these steps every time and having the same problems everybody already wrote in here, specially with a large collection! I can figure that this is probably a rekordbox issue, but still - I'm from Brazil and unfortunately the MIK software costs a lot, so not only not practical, but also very expensive :(

Process is still complicated, you should work on a way to improve this and make it as easier like serato.
Yeah, I agree. I hope we can find a workaround for rekordbox that works similar to the Serato workflow. I agree it's quite a process to export the cue points to rekordbox right now, but it's the only workflow we have, for now :)
There needs to be a way to streamline this process… I can’t even get new batches of songs without this whole tedious process, to which the cue points will not even export over to Rekordbox no matter what I do. It’s exhausting and frustrating. My cue points on this new batch of music won’t transfer, so what am I to do? Delete fucking everything and start again from scratch? Shit is absurd.
This program is made for mp3 files, I have problems getting alphanumerical key value on my Wav files....wich forced me to re-analyze wav tracks in rekordboks using native key detection
Why don’t you guys just partner and integrate it directly? It doesn’t make sense to me why you have to jump through hoops to do this.

Please, for the love of god, find a way to integrate this directly. Whenever I update my collection with new tracks this is always a massive hassle. Its a wonderful product but the integration with Rekordbox is lacking. The worst part is, i figure out how to get it done and then have to relearn it by the time I go back to use it again months later!@@mixedinkey

I've just brought MIK10, but I cannot, for the life of me, select the rekordbox option. I can input the path, but I cannot check the box, and only Serato is showing as a box I can check. Not impressed. I emailed support who redirected me to this video, which I had already watched!

All I wish to do is have accurate BPM analysis. Rekordbox sucks at that honestly (unlike Serato) especially for non electronic music. How can I strictly update and replace my BPM analysis data with the info from Mixed in Key in my RB library? The rest of the MIK features I honestly don't need. Please let me know.
You can choose to only export the BPM info to your tracks under Settings. To do that, you will need to go Personalize -> Update Tags -> and unselect the option to "Update Common Tags". Then, select the option to "Update Tempo Tag" in that same screen, and you should be good to go. If you don't want the cue points exported, make sure to disable that option in Settings too.
It won’t let me add new song. Won’t even let me delete and start over to add the new songs. Complete waste of money
I bought this program thinking it would make things easier but all this does is COMPLICATE things for me, the whole exporting and importing thing is not user friendly at all.

It is a technical software to use. Something you are doing wrong. What doesn't work? On what laptop, which rb version?

the correct way is to import the new songs into rekordbox and analyze them, re-export rekordbox xml, open MIK 10 and wipe out MIK collection (yes delete all track in MIK "My Collections", and "Analysis Queue"!), add the new songs to MIK analysis queue, then click "export cue points" and ensure rekordbox is checked with the folder directory correctly pointing to your xml, and export.
In this way, when you go to rekordbox xml tree view, the MIK Cue Points Folder will show only the new tracks and importing that to collections should not take you 3minutes!
Do that for all other tracks you wish to analyze. If a track fails, it has French, Portuguese, Latino or some other non-English characters in either the id3 tag, filename or folder name. Those characters are incompatible with MIK

@@kashoogen3221 MIK key info goes to comments and does not replace rb key. Enable it in MIK tag settings, then check comments in rekordbox after importing n reloading tags.

One more reason Serato is better than Rekordbox. Just reloading the ID tags updates the key and add cue points in Serato. It is such a tedious and time consuming process with Rekordbox.

@@mixedinkey You can make this way simpler through MIK if you can get simply make the rekordbox xml file to be loaded within the MiK interface . That way the user can choose what to do with any of his playlist / song as per their need . Also thereby can see the output of MiK inside the same interface post processing . The user has to just save the xml and load it in RB and everything will work there . I know this is a bit of work but if this is done within the MiK interface it can solve the current issues rekordbox users face while making MiK more scalable and user friendly .

Mixed In Key 10 update is nothing but a skin update. Nothing new has been added from Mixed In Key 8.5. everything that was broken in Mixed In Key 8.5 is still broken. don't waste your money.
On version 10, we've added the option to export cue points to rekordbox. We also improved our key detection algorithm, which was already the best and most accurate in the industry. The user interface is a lot cleaner and the analysis performance had major improvements too. So, I disagree with your point that it was just a "skin update".

@Mixed In Key & Captain Plugins SOFTWARE Can you stop asking everyone email you privately? It's a waste of our already valuable time. that we have already wasted spending HOURS analyzing files to get us to these comment's! Clearly this is some BS that can involve a lot of major troubleshooting. I don't have time to email you, I'm too busy working to pay for MIK11 or PN5. Put some of that update money you make to use and either explain to everyone in troubleshooter on the page linked above, or how about making a 10min instead of a 5min video with some of the ways this $&%^ show can go wrong? And how to fix them, that or be straight up in the comments on how to fix these issues or take down the video. Since it only works until it doesn't, you overwrite those hot cues good luck getting them back with out maybe going as far as formatting the drive. I get it is an extremely useful feature but, don't advertise something that is so finicky. That not even deleting the whole rekordbox.xml file, reinstalling rekordbox, and removing ALL your music from rekordbox and MIK and starting over will fix...it doesn't FYI. I clearly see why you skip over the whole "Edit Tags" feature of MIK10. God forbid you actually try and use 1/3 of the program and mess it up so your files cant be found, like I did the second time this travesty happened. Where's the video on fixing that debacle???
