Hung out with Steve and Dimitri for a while. Said hi to Keith backstage. Told him he's the punk rock Jesus. It was crazy and kickass. Small venue, totally old school punk show like they used to be in the 80s. So killer. I was like 48 when I saw them and it was like when I was in my 20s seeing these back allley punk shows at loading docks and super tiny venues. total flashback. so awesome!!

They never got bored and moved on to more "mature" genres of music like some of their contemporaries...They are who they were from the beginning. Ageless! Great set too btw.

His bass hit me in the forehead so many times I had welts on my head like four huge welts all week. LOL. I talked to Steve for like 20 minutes while he was setting up about old school music and the 80s scene back in the day. I met Keith and Dimitri and Mario too. What an intimate band, so fucking cool. Dimitri was cool. Mario was setting up. Keith didn't want to chat. He told me to get out. He said, "Hey man, you can't be back here man". I walked in to their backstage room. Oops. But that was cool. hahah
The crowd is the face of modern hardcore: waiting for breakdowns and have fun only in violent mosh regardless who's playing. Give us 90s nu metal and breakdowns. Pathetic!

I kicked it with Steve a couple of months ago backstage at the Melvins and Bungle show. Met Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo and Mike Patton too. Buzz Osbourne of the Melvins too. Steve was really cool, he remembered me from years before. The rest of those dudes weren't too friendly but Steve McDonald is fucking awesome friendly and cool man. I also said hi to Keith and told him he's the punk rock Jesus. haha. He didn't want me hanging backstage and said, he man you can't be back here man. But Steve was totally cool and just talked to me like a firiend.
