    I purchased a 28” drive bar with 3/8 pitch .050 92 DL for my McCulloch 10-10 Automatic. It’s beautiful, cuts awesome. $85.00 plus tax shipped to me. In my opinion it’s an awesome deal! Go Archer!!!!!!

    I bought a full chisel chain from them and it’s awesome, very good quality and hold up great!

    Nice Nuts. Note that they are smooth on the back, not serrated. Serrated nuts will tear up the mag clutch cover.

      Yes sir! You have no idea how much it took to refrain from saying "Dan sent me some nice nuts" in the video!!! :)

    Man I don’t see any reason not to use the archer chains I like em for the money. They got the Oiler Channels in the chain links they roll smooth and pull a nice heavy chip. I’ve been useing them for over a year now and I’ll buy more for sure. Got one on a homelite super xl 20”, and one on a jonsered 2166 28”. I have piles of other saws with all types of chains all over and the archers are not only fine, they are pretty on par. Appears to be heat tempered drivers.

    I bought five Archer chains last summer and I was surprised on how well just one held up to a twelve cord truckload of red oak. I did end up sharpening it just before the load was buckets up but I thought it did quite well for the price.

    My 36" has a small oil hole at the end of the bar, in the video, i noticed you punched yours, did you clear a hole all the way through or just make it was open, my bar only has the one small hole on one side at the end of the bar

    4:38 shouldn't it be 30 angle degree?

    How long is that bar? Will the same bar fit an XL 12?

      Sorry for not paying attention to detail. I just found the answer to both my questions.

    That thing looked way better with the homelite bar on there but no sense wearing out the an original bar. Could always sand off the kangaroo and paint homelite on it lol

      Them homelite bars look so sweet with the clean steel and a big giant emblem right out there. All the brands should do it like the old homelites

      I want to restore my 20 inch Homelite Bar....hiw much do shops charge to regrind bars on average ?

    • @LeonsChainsawPartsAndRepair
      @LeonsChainsawPartsAndRepair  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@j.chrisbeck7492 Hard to say what other shops charge, but I typically charge $20. That will cover closing the rails, grinding them flat and then grooving them out. I don't have the equipment to weld up chips I'm afraid.

      @@LeonsChainsawPartsAndRepair thanks Leon ! I was just wanting a ballpark number...so probably about right.

    Does the bar tensioning holes pass through like a D276 bar for oiling the chain when the saw uses the bar tensioning hole for bar oil instead of the oil hole that is drilled? and thanks for the review, I have been considering getting one of these for my Huztl 372xp build.
    I noticed they want you to stay 90 degree when sharpening on their chisel chain rather than a 10 degree down like some. I have two of their chains but haven't tried it yet. Cutters themselves don't seem as tall as Oregon LGX or Stihl RS.

    • @LeonsChainsawPartsAndRepair
      @LeonsChainsawPartsAndRepair  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, the tensioner holes do have a pass-through slot. When I have to-resharpen, I will grind to the 10' angle and report back.
