My dear General thanks. I have a girl that calls me godmother. She visit me every week. She is Cambodjan and tries to learn as much as possible about her country and heritage. I am going to give her a suprize by making her this pickles. Thanks

I remember when I was little my mom would let these sit in the kitchen, would that be ok to let it sit in the kitchen or do I have to leave it outside like you said?

You may sit in the kitchen but will take longer for the water to evaporated from muster green. Thank you for taking your valuable time to read, comments, watch and support my TH-cam food channel.

I grew up with this food and I learned how to cook from my mom. I am Khmer and I cooked /made this food, so it is Khmer Food. You can call what ever you want ed to call. I did not learn how to make this from china or from Chinese people. If you do not like it I am sorry!

While jruk spei is technically Chinese Cambodian, I'd say enough of the populace both in and outside of Cambodia who make or eat it can consider this Khmer/Cambodian. I myself am Cambodian diaspora and grew up with this as something my entire family makes.
