I try to fill the gap regarding technical&tactical coaching on youtube. I hope I can teach you as much as possible. I was lucky in my youth to train with some if the best gk-coaches in germany and even could play as a pro at home. I just want to share my experiences&knowledge that i made during that time. Other goalies on youtube made totally different experiences and so I think everyone kind of develops his own style. Hi any advice for short goalkeepers? I have a technical question. I have a goalkeeper that can literally catch everything I am not exaggerating. he happens to play wide receiver in American football he plays baseball as well. Should he still be trained to punch out balls in certain situations? I believe his hands are Elite does hand eye coordination drills, he is constantly juggling three balls with his hands I have personally seen him stay and catch around 500 balls shot from different angles 4-5 days a week. His hands are no joke . What do you recommend . I believe you should catch everything since he can. Any advise greatly appreciated

The stance positioning and catch technique were really helpful..I have a tournament coming up in two days and while practice sessions I really couldn't understand why even the simple power shots instead of getting into my gloves were bouncing off my gloves..I thought the issue was with my gloves but when I was catching the ball barehanded after the session I found out my hand were forming an arrow shape naturally.. Secondly while standing on my forefoot during keepers ready position really drained a lot of my energy..Now changing it seems to consume less energy..Thank you brother a lot for the tips..In the end I would lik to tell everyone that it's not about what to do_it's about what is required to do..So do what you feel you should do,not what everyone else does or tells you to do..Best wishes..

What do you recommend for a ready position for the hands? I've seen another video where they recommend palms out, hands down towards the thighs/knees but in this video the keeper seems to keep them more at mid level.

Any reason why your heels are still on the floor? I allways got teached to stand on my toes with my heels off the ground slightly so you are more quick when jumping etc

Dude I use a wide positioning stance and like it has become something that I constantly do but don't wanna do it and It's not effective I can't perform stretched dives and so I can't cover a lot of ground on my dives any advice 😦😦

Moin. Ich bin ab sommer jungjahrgang a jugend. Vorher gabs in der a nur 1 torwart und somit nur 1 trikot... Jetzt sind wir 2 und daher kriegen wir noch ein neues tw trikot für mich... nur die nummer 1 ist schon vergeben.. welche nummer würdest du.mir empfehlen?😂😂
I am a former goalkeeper, having played at the domestic to international level. Usually in catching the ball, i use 2 types shape. When the ball is high i use a "W" shape. When the ball is at face/shoulder level i use the "Arrow" shape including if the ball is low/ground. But this technique requires constant training and focus, especially to get "ball feeling". Every day and don't be lazy!. 🙂

Each catch of the ball, we have to get used to absorbing the speed of the ball. Strengthen the wrists, palms and fingers do not get too hard when the ball has arrived. Fingers should not be too close or apart. This is very important. If everything is hardened, the ball will vomit/bounce. So be sure to keep practicing. 😊

Ich bin momentan 13 Jahre alt komme aus Bochum aber lebe in Singapur/Asien, weil mein Vater hier Chef von ASEAN für seine Firma ist. Mein Traum ist es Fußball Torwart zu werden, und ich bin bereit alles dafür zu geben. Deine bisherigen Videos haben mir Sehr geholfen. Ich werde wahrscheinlich in den nächsten 1 bis 2 Jahren nach Deutschland ziehen weil ich hier natürlich bessere Chancen hebe mein Traum zu erfüllen!
