Some of the decisions were close calls. But a good game and overall the boks deserved to win. Congrats from Ireland and can't wait for round 2

Our first test so we cant be too harsh in our assessments. Ireland are scary good and we have alot to worry about for the 2nd test.
Without sounding too far up my own backside, but I have to say this once again, rugby UNION was the winner. An amazing game that simply proves that (a) the best thing that happened to the game as a whole was SA going N-S and (b) rugby union is streets and streets ahead of league.
I never ever felt that this was close. Always felt the Boks were in control. If it weren't for some defensive lapses and missed kicks the boks could have ran away with this.
Nice; no whinging or arrogance from Rassie or Siya & respect shown, unlike key members of the opposition

Fair to say Murray scored off clear obstruction on the SA prop. Look at the blocker ahead of Kelleher who passed to Murray. Ireland should stop crying they had many calls go their way that should not have.
You got given 2 trys and ire had 1 taken away. SA are shite loosers and even worse winners. I back any team that's playing SA England included and I'm irish.

Boks looked out of sorts. Didn't recognize the style.
It's sounds like they are still working on the new attacking approach and will probably take some getting ylused to but a Win is a Win and they got one against the number 2 in the world.
The Bok pack failed to dominate, scrums were way off the mark, lack of composure when under pressure (not how WORLD CHAMPS should play), attacking focus seemed to distract from defense. Not impressed by the new attack..lots of passing but very little penetration. Hope we are better next week. Not an impressive win against a team playing away, and missing key players, at altitude.
So you expect a perfect game with a new play style right off the bat? Add to that new scrum rules for example. It's clear you haven't been watching rugby for long
Lets not forget that Ireland also have power forwards and are probably still the fittest team out there. They have shown before that they can nullify our Bomb Squad and they did it again for the most part yesterday. This was our first proper game with our starters and a bit rusty, the boys will pull together and get better. The new expansive style play will take a while to perfect. Our rush and cover defence wasnt perfected over night. Give the team a break, they will come right.
