Had a imp blue ph2 one like this back in the day with a 1.7 lump st170 brakes all round, frp front seats and fully polybushed with ford axle spacers used to be a little ripper on the back roads👌
You can tell you properly enjoyed that. I miss mine. Had one at 18 and had one with a full Racing puma conversion with box and lsd big brakes and sun tonne weight it was a total riot. Everyone remembers that car and how fun it was. Blast from the past.
Would offer my 205 GTI/ 200 horses on bodies 850 kilos but it’s not seen the light of day since covid 😢

Love the zetec-s, had a red one for my second car. Great memories of lift-off oversteer on big roundabouts!
I never owned one of these but I did drive a few being an apprentice at Ford at the time. This would have been around the time the Fiesta MK6 was being introduced. Loved driving these and the MK6 ST. I did drive a N/A Puma swapped MK5 and that was quite fun.
This is my friends old car, used to be lairy NA on itbs and a gripper.
Plumbed the brakes in and helped install the cage and seat rails. Weighed in at 880kg. Upset a few clios on the csoc days ally blyton !

My mate used to have a mk5 fiesta with a puma lump.Absolute death trap but amazing fun
I've had 3 mk5 zetec-s fiestas, fantastic handling cars and sprightly even as standard . For a fwd chassis these cars are hard to beat.
My first car was one of these with a set of cams and was a ripper love every minute owning that car
Used to love my Zetec S, same colour, Imperial Blue, absolute underated cars and always fun to surprise people with.
That looked fun Dan the sound the rawness everything. Adrenaline rush can feel it just watching you ✌️

Inner cvs on this vintage ford are absolute cack, and yes I agree vibration under accel/decel can often be found with them. Great video, and that car looks like a real good fun to drive hard.

I'm not Dan, but despite having a Clio 172 PH1 that I'm obsessed with, the civic eg/ek with a K20 would be holy grail for me tbh. Can't beat double wishbones, also, N/A all the way for emotion.
Depends how committed to the cause you are - road driving a stripped out, shouty, clunky honda a few hours there and back to track days isn't for the feint hearted. If you like comfort go for one of these newer (and more gayer) turbo hatches

@@sidathwijeratne7168 I know, it's frustrating. I wanted an EK or an EG to drop a K20 into. But I then decided it's just as worth it owning a 172 before they skyrocket. You can get a 172 to handle within the same realms as one of the above with some work.
