    This video is part of a Maker's Swap with Jacob Anguiano @nativesonwoodart. We are both making #couchendtables and sending them to each other. The design for this couch table is simple and yet versatile. It can be used as a mini table and a lap table in addition to sliding up over the couch. Be sure to check out his channel and social media links below and show him some love.

    The joints are definitely worth the trouble you went through on the glue up, Great demo and tips. Thanks.

      I agree. I know for a fact that they still holding strong and that Jacob @Maker’s Cuisine is still using the table to this day.

    Very Nice. If you do have it on the floor how high is it. And can you make longer? And if I wanted to make one 26” High. How long would I make the other boards? Thanks.

    • @TheDadCave
      @TheDadCave  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The height of it when on its side from end to end was 21 inches. I cut all the pieces to 1”x1” strips. If you are going for a total length of 26”, you would want to cut the smaller length boards to 24”. This is assuming of course you cut all your pieces to 1x1’s like I did.

    • @jamesbarlowjr.3762
      @jamesbarlowjr.3762 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheDadCave Ohh ok. Just wasn’t sure how long to make the shorter ones if I was going with the table height 26”. Then the rest was 24” Wide and 16” deep. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for getting back to me.

    How does this hold up in terms of weight?

    • @TheDadCave
      @TheDadCave  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As long as no one is sitting on it, you will certainly have no issues with it holding your favorite beverage, remote control or tablet. I made this for another creator on TH-cam @Maker Cuisine He needed a table to slide up and over his couch to hold drinks and it works great for it. When I was gluing it up, the joints felt really solid.
