Wonderful creations. Thanks for the share. Scratch building is one of the real highlights of the hobby. It so enjoyable and relaxing to tinker with repurposed items and/or items that are purchased to meet a specific creation.
th-cam.com/video/yC9PlDsCUOI/w-d-xo.html love your vids👍🏻👍🏻😊May I recommend a special young man who has a passion for Disneyland and trains😊stumbled upon and love ❤️channel full of love and joy and a childlike wonderment of the world 😊
The truss bridge and the girder bridge both look wonderful together Robert! Happy New Year to ya'! Can't wait to see part 5 of this series. Cheers, Dan
WOW 😮 just amazing. It seams so simple but adds so much detail to the lift bride. Your eye for detail is awesome. Happy new year keep up the great work.
Another awesome looking bridge 👍👍. Can't wait to see what you do with the last one.hope you had a good New year and I hope 2019 is good for everybody until your next video be good and be safe
I have watched your 4 videos on your swing up bridges. I am impressed on the construction. I was wondering if you are going to do a video on how you wired the bridges. Thank you George
Holy cow...was that hot wheels box car? lol. That was smooth. Awesome job, Robert with scratch built bridges. How about a covered bridge on the very top. You really do have an excellent woodworking skills. Just awesome! - Drew
G'Day Robert. Thanks for posting. Your work is meticulous. We are still researching lift ups but now have a fair idea of what we will do. The bench work will be started in a month or so and hopefully the Adelaide model railroaders will have some lift ups by the end of 2019. You showed the gaps at the lift up end. Did you show the gaps at the drop down end? Cheers Ken.
Ken good to hear you will have some sort of lift ups in 2019 and in part four at the 20.17min mark i showed how the tracks came together, they hang over about 20mm onto the cork cheers Robert
nicely done - where/how does the "lift up/out" actually fold down? I don't see a pocket or area for the bridge to nestle into in the down position if it is hinged....just curious?
Mel there was no need for both ends to have 45 degrees. As the lift up will be in the same position all the time with or without the angle cheers Robert
I used wood glue to hold the deck truss to the lift out. But using wood glue on the truss took too long to dry, and the super glue took about 3 to 5 mins to dry cheers Robert
You do make Every project look very simple .
Dave thanks and they are turning out ok cheers Robert
Looks great Rob can't wait to see a train going over the lift ups
Ron nearly ready for the train cheers Robert
Very nice work indeed. Clever use of the 2 dollar shop craft sticks. A man on the right page.
Jim i really like the out of pocket $2 lol cheers Robert

wouldn't it have been better to have 45 degrees on both ends
of the track at the hinged end?
Mel there was no need for both ends to have 45 degrees.
As the lift up will be in the same position all the time with
or without the angle cheers Robert
Why not use wood glue? RH
I used wood glue to hold the deck truss to the lift out.
