    Doing a great job Robert, as a retired sparky have only just discovered "WAGO" connectors myself and bought 2 assortment boxes for $70 each from IDEAL electrical wholesalers and now using them extensively under neath my layout and they are heaven sent compared to BP connectors and terminal strips, using mainly the 5 hole terminals and leaves free joiners for additional lights, wires etc for later on, wish I had them for all the years I was on the tools, cheers Darryl

    Can’t imagine why this is taking a while... even the real roundhouse probably didn’t have individual control of the lights in each bay. Lol. Your forethought will save you a lot of aggravation in the future. If I hadn’t seen this, I probably would have had all the lights on one switch and would have gone nuts trying to fix it when one went out. I guess you get out what you put in and you have put in your best and that’s why it comes out best. Incredible. Thank you for sharing with all of us.

    This video series is incredible. I am amazed by the detail you have included and even more so because you shared how simple (albeit time consuming) it is to achieve your wonderful results. After watching this 9 part series, I hope you will continue to record your progress. I am especially interested in how you will insert the track into the roundhouse and where you will drop the wires for powering it.

    • @csxmad
      @csxmad  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching the series Alan and more to come, but the lights in the pits will be next, then the lights in the roundhouse.
      And then the tracks should follow cheers Robert

    At 3:25 in this video, what kind of LEDs are you using for your pits nd where is a good place to get them?
    Are you going to do a follow up video on the roundhouse and how it has held up and any changes you might make?

Like the one guy said you can land a plane with that. This is going to look really great when you're done. Until your next video be good and be safe

    Awesome. That’s a lot of work for ease if maintenance on the lighting for lights that in theory should last a decade - i take it you have experience with LEDs failing prematurely? Those wagons clips do come in handy. Plan in using the wage power bus systems as well on my layout.

    So cool. The pit crew will need sunglasses if you charge it to 6 volts. Was kind of hoping you’d test the voltage a little higher. You could probably land a plane if you had all 12 stalls at 12 volts. -Mark

    Hi
    Do you know what code track you will be fitting in the roundhouse bays,as I’m having all sorts of problems trying to fit code 100.
    Each piece of track has to be filed down to fit.
    Am I missing something?.

    • @csxmad
      @csxmad  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I also use code 100 Peco Track on my layout, but because the bridge track on the
      Walthers turntable is code 83 i will be using code 83 in the stalls to match the bridge.
      And as i leave the turntable i will use a code 83 track and then join this to a code 100
      track using a rail joiner that will have a code 83 on one end and code 100 on the other
      end hope this helps cheers Robert
