Luther was one of the best blues players of all time. And this concert is great. I love it and all the blues fans in germany love`s it to. Hope you are in Paradise!
in his 'homecoming' appearance at the Chicago Blues Fest in 1995, he closed the show on Saturday(?) night. It was the only time i saw/heard him that he did not play until he was forced off the stage, be it in a lillte club In Wheaton Md or at the Tampa Bay Blues Festival where they actually turned off the power AND THE LIGHTS. At that, he sat at a table under a street light and signed autographs until the last person--me-- spoke with him. GREATEST live blues performer I have ever seen.
My friend Luther was the hardest working man in Blues :-) . I rember a concert in Braunscheig, Germany with 7 Sets. Was hypnotic and was 4 1/2 h of the best time in my blues live. (RIP)
Saw Luther a couple times in Chicago. Saw so many of the blues greats in their prime. Luther and Albert Collins were probably my favorite shows. For intensity, nobody matched Luther.
Hallelujah!!! NOBODY can cope with this MARATHON session of pure blues energy raw power groove, every note a drop of sweat Luther and his band..Jawdropping and deep respect y'all..
It's a crime that this has less than a 1000 views in 8 months! Luther is so underappreciated, it's a damn dirty low down shame! He's my go-to for electric blues inspiration. And that voice on Cherry Red Wine, holy crap :-)
This is a great video in the first half, about halfway through there begins a constant glitch where the music constantly pauses about every second. You need to figure out a way to upload this video again
Saw Luther 2 or 3 times in my hometown Utrecht, Holland around 1979/1980 and at The North Sea Concert The Hague, Holland, 1981, i guess. Great shows. But with all respect, more than 3 hours Luther is just to long. Got to see this in parts........
Hallo Mr. Zoltan! Please upload this concert a second time. Shortly after one hour there is a technical problem with this video. Please check it!Luther Allison is the greatest!
is just me or does mr Allison look like he could be Hendrix's older big brother ? and before anybody gets upset i'm well aware mr Allison has got his own thing , his own sound and was awesome .

The most viewed video of Luther has 435k views, and it's because B.B King is in it.
santa mierda! que monstruo!!!
Play it again, man
I cant remember how I found Luther but I'm annoyed and upset that it took me until 2017 to find him. What a gem he is.
His son is a beast, too! Bernard Allison. Check him out, if you aren't familiar....

I've seen him live seven times. Once it was a short set of an hour during a festival. All other gigs had more than three hours full throttle.
