Rajeev Chandrasekhar Crticises Rahul Gandhi For Vacating Wayanad Seat

BJP leader and former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar lambasted Rahul Gandhi for vacating the Wayanad parliamentary seat, accusing the Congress leader of betraying his constituents. Chandrasekhar remarked, "Priyanka Gandhi has the right to contest from anywhere in the country, but many questions arise from this decision by the Congress, particularly Rahul Gandhi. He hid from them the fact that he was also going to contest in Raebareli. He deceived them, and today, after they have in good faith supported him and given him another chance, he is washing his hands and saying he is going to Raebareli. It is a betrayal of the people of Wayanad." He further added that Priyanka Gandhi's political debut in a seat likely to be easily won due to IUML support underscores the strategic maneuvering by the Congress.

I like Rajeev. He will win from Trivandrum if he contests again. But I wish he kept quiet on this. This decision from congress was expected and doesn’t particularly sound bad. I think people of Wayanad will most likely elect Priyanka. People say bad things about her husband. But Priyanka has been a relatively respectable character. Why say bad things about her unnecessarily.
