I was here. The sound of of the guitar echoing over the entire area was so beautiful. The drum addition and his voice was absolutely incredible. Still makes my hair raise today with crap video quality 😂
It does tick me off when its referred to as Cash's song. Trent reznor is an amazing songwriter and its a shame he often doesnt get the credit for this absolutely amazing tune
BREAKING BENJAMIN is amazing and always will be amazing... Is there anymore videos and is there any of the mosh's or the insane bottle throwing??? Anthony
Man... I love Breaking Benjamin, and I love their version of hurt, N.I.N's Version, And Johnny Cash's version. Their all different enough that I get a different feeling from each one. If you love the original NIN one and r mad cause Cash and BB redid it... think about it, BB is just playing it cause they also love the song, not trying to remake it, better it, just doing it for the love of the song
More emotional? Quote from Reznor himself... I pop the video in, and wow Tears welling, silence, goose-bumps Wow, I just lost my girlfriend, because that song isn't mine anymore It really made me think about how powerful music is as a medium and art form. I wrote some words and music in my bedroom as a way of staying sane, about a bleak and desperate place I was in, totally isolated and alone. [Somehow] that winds up reinterpreted by a music legend from a radically different era/genre
i'll admit that i'm not much of a NIN fan (mainly cuz i haven't got around to listening to them) but i will say that it's very impressive when Johnny frickin Cash wants to do a cover of one of your songs
i feel like the original nin version is better especially since you can sense trent's pain and true feelings than in this version. there is almost no emotion in this guys voice when he sings it...and thats what makes the song...more than the lyrics do
I know treny made this song but personalyI think cash's sounds more human, lol it's hard to explain but I do aknowledge trent though. Man I miss cash (holds lighter up)
wow this is the first cover of hurt that I've heard that I actually really like, I'm not big on cash's version and sevendusts version was just terrible, in my opinion, but this is really good
i mean i am a fan of BB but this song just doesnt suit them...maybe another nin song would have worked...something from with teeth would be more their style...

wow bb does this song really well
Best times of BB. Missed this band chad szeliga on drums
You can say that with any cover.
I love the cover. Brings me to tears.
Wow, i amazed at how popular this song is. i had no idea that they covered it. i wish they covered it at the one i went to.
they need to do a studio release. i love this version.
Love the little leads Aaron adds
and it still retains sincerity and meaning - different, but every bit as pure.
I was at this concert and let me just tell you, it was amazing. 3 days grace and B.B.!!!
I know its not the original but I love this and I love BB!
i saw them perform this in manchester NH, simply amazing
Ben sings with the most emotion of any singers I know
this is a great song ^^
This was my first concert and my i say way to start of this concert was freaking awesome! Even the opening bands were good
The NIN featuring David Bowie is the best version. search "nine inch nails hurt bowie"
@aenima001 They do it to remember him, because it was of the last songs Cash did before he died. It's very sad & dramatic.
There's no such thing as 'covering the Cash version'. You don't cover a cover. Hurt is and always will be a NIN song. No exceptions compare.
It does tick me off when its referred to as Cash's song. Trent reznor is an amazing songwriter and its a shame he often doesnt get the credit for this absolutely amazing tune
Matthew Pearce - Trent doesn’t even consider it his song anymore. It’s Cash’s. It’s his. Simple as.
Triad It doesn’t matter, he wrote it, it’s his song
Breaking Benjamin FTW!
BREAKING BENJAMIN is amazing and always will be amazing... Is there anymore videos and is there any of the mosh's or the insane bottle throwing???
Anthony
lol, thanks... I'm amazed people didnt freak when I said I liked Johnny Cash's version also...
there's a manchester in USA, kool, i live in the uk
even when the quallity of the audio is not the best, i like this cover, i hope they can record this cover someday :P
@MegaCountrygirl01
I like how you think
when he did this in MI...i almost died!...i loved it!
@ASFX07 They are definitely playing the NIN version.
hey, wow thanks for taking that video,... i miss the concert already lol
i hate how everyone think that jhonny cash is the creator of this masterpeice when really Trent Reznor thought of it!!!
they should do a studio version!!
your right he dose sound a little bit like trent well a young trent

No cover version ever, doesn't matter which song and doesn't matter who covers, is ever better then the original... My own opinion ...
They should have a decent record for this
lolondd studio-quality, album style cover. Abso-fucking-loutely
nine inch nails
@bhgilly
go search it up, Trent Reznor was the original writer

Simply an amazing singer. Breaking Benjamin is the most talented band out there... nuff said!
Does anyone know what tuning he was playing in? I really really love this version
One of the best covers I've seen so far; right up there with Cash, Bowie, Sevendust and Kermit.
MajickDemoniack fuckin Kermit 😂 I forgot all about that cover, lol!!!
Weird. Theres another video of this same song at the same place but the camera's behind Chad.
1:47 the Echo really added to the song! my favorite part!
i think they did cover it when i was there but i missed it. Three days grace covered Rooster by Alice in Chains but this is a better cover
LMAO everytime I come to watch tis video everyones always fighting about who wrote it. Hahahahahahaha. Breaking Benjamin rocks 4 life!! Amazing song.
lol nice
I'm going to agree with you. For some reason, it just completely fit Johnny Cash so much more then Trent Reznor. But that's just my opinion
they've never played in manchester since bens scared of planes of somethin like that
BEN GIMME UR PRS !!!!11
He kinda sounds like the dude from Korn on this. Brilliant cover.
the echo just made it heavenly!! pls do a studio version!!!
i feel like the original nin version is better especially since you can sense trent's pain and true feelings than in this version. there is almost no emotion in this guys voice when he sings it...and thats what makes the song...more than the lyrics do
NIN?
LOL @ the crowd's lack of knowing wtf they are listening too (there are a few though)
No. He didn't. The song was written by Trent Reznor.
No he didnt Trent Reznor wrote in in the 90s. Get your facts right.
People always start clapping on the songs that are most unfitting for it...
People are really stupid. Trent Reznor wrote this song. Learn2music.
I agree it's not them, but i can see it being them XD
But point is yeah they did have a great cover.
is there like a studio version of this song from breaking benjamin because i think it´s badass
No he didnt, Trent Reznor did.
Get your facts straight.
Yeah. Overplayed. Reznor wrote the song and meant it, Johnny Cash just died.
@BlackHeartAbyss He did, though. That's Fact.
wtf? no he's not...
no. johnny cash actually covered it. trent reznor wrote it. sorry.
I know treny made this song but personalyI think cash's sounds more human, lol it's hard to explain but I do aknowledge trent though. Man I miss cash (holds lighter up)
@bhgilly hahahah of course
Haha Chad is awesome in the back XD
I actually think he's doing the nine inch nails version =o not to nit pick haha sorry, great cover though =)
wow this is the first cover of hurt that I've heard that I actually really like, I'm not big on cash's version and sevendusts version was just terrible, in my opinion, but this is really good
Dam I suck at speling DX
if anyone has a version of this thats clear or reduced background sounds hmu :)
Definitely a cover of NIN rather than a cover of Johnny Cash's cover. It's a bit darker than Cash but I like it both ways. Fucking tune.
i wear this crown of SHIT
nin not cash
i mean i am a fan of BB but this song just doesnt suit them...maybe another nin song would have worked...something from with teeth would be more their style...
johnny cashs version is better
For some "strange" reason, I really doubt that Johnny Cash covered NIN. Think of it that way... :/
0 emotion = bad cover.
Is it just me or does he sound like he's trying to impress girls with his voice at... 1:41?
