What if KORRA wasn't supposed to be the AVATAR?

This video talks about a popular avatar the last airbender/the legend of korra fan theory about YUE supposedly being the intended avatar after aang instead of korra. This is just a fan theory and not cannon, but it's a very fun topic to debate!

I think the moon spirit moving the waves is a play on the fact that the moon controls our tides IRL.

I don't necessarily believe the theory myself, but it is a fun one to think about with a lot of evidence supporting it! I'm not sure where I land, probably in the cop out answer of "could be" haha

There is a couple flaws number 1 Aang and Yue was alive the events of the show I know that you already addressed that by saying what if he wasn't frozen but that is a big part of his story Aang gets frozen and because of it the avatar is m.i.a and the fire nation was able to get as far because of it. The second flaw is Yue was not a bender while she was alive. She only gained water-bending after being the moon spirit.

Both valid points! I still think it’s a possibility despite these things, but they’re definitely good arguments against it! I’m not sure where I even stand on the theory myself, I just thought the topic was super fun and wanted to share it
