  • It occurred to me the other day that many of you have never heard the sound of your R NineT at full throttle. So, I decided to put this video together so you could enjoy it at its best!

    Lord, most compact and comprehensive review on racer. No mumbo jumbos just review and then go. Thanks. Good luck

    Thank you So Very Much - That Sound, OMG !!! Iz abt to put my moolah down for a 2019 Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer, but now, I gotta find me one of these - The Racer version is hard to find in Malaysia (crap rules in this country), so I gotta pop over the dealership come Saturday to realize my options - Anyways, Thanks again !!!

    I love it. I have a 2017 racer and I’m curious what your thoughts are on the suspension changes. How much of a difference did it make? If you had another go at it, would you opt for something cheaper like a Wilber’s rear shock and simple spring/oil change vs Öhlins shock and a full cartridge system? Thanks!

      I still do track days and have always changed my bikes to Ohlins. So, I cannot comment on other options. I can adjust the Ohlins so that the bike tracks perfectly. It does not wander through corners, and seems to be glued to the track. Would not choose anything else for the track. I set up the adjustments for normal sag, and slightly stiffer compression and rebound. You would think that would make road riding a little harsher. But it doesn't. The ride is more comfortable and the bike handles large bumps and whoops much better. I just love them.

    Finally, an awesome clip of the full acceleration of an R9T but... why in the world are you cruising along in lower gears on the highway? 5200 RPM at 80? I was hoping to hear it loping along in high gear to get a feel for traveling a little.

    • @dasschramm
      @dasschramm  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always run my racer at 4,000 RPM or above to keep the power available and not lug the motor. :-)

    • @dasschramm
      @dasschramm  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mirrors are not allowed on the track. The stock mirrors are very easy to remove so I left them.

    Running your motor hard like that will result in lower fuel mileage, more gas consumption and greater engine wear. I might recommend a balance.

    • @Juanpasilver
      @Juanpasilver 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont think we get these bikes for low fuel milage....besides these engines are made for this type of riding. He never over revved it or kept it at its limit. Perfect sports riding style!

    • @richardroda4882
      @richardroda4882 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Juanpasilver I have an R9T and don't wind the pee out of it like that. High revs like that for no reason will definitely accelerate wear.

    • @MauricioRafaelGonzalez
      @MauricioRafaelGonzalez 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have an rninet as well. I think the camera/poor sound make it sound like it is being overworked...I agree with Juanpasilver, I do not believe he is over doing it. Either way, we can ride these however we want :) as long as done safely!

    Nice run to 135 mph! Only one thing I'd change: lose that goofy Florida Gators key strap! It becomes decidedly unstable and distracting over 110 mph!

    Someone enlighten me: why is this kind of sound nicer than a V Twin? To me this seems crummy, almost like a 4. I'd have an R9T if it sounded better! Educate me

    • @dasschramm
      @dasschramm  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have had a Ducati and some Harleys and loved their sound. The BMW has a different sound that I also like. Liking the sound of a motorcycle is a personal taste. As with any other attribute of a bike, ride what pleases you most.

  • @Paulo-jk6wy
    @Paulo-jk6wy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Too noisy, the sound with the original exhaust is better 👍

    • @dasschramm
      @dasschramm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is when I had it set up for the track. I agree for the road. Since then I have converted it back to OEM components for riding up in the mountains. The OEM header and muffler are a little bit quieter and have a much better throttle response.
