I would say go with one of the Friut Humidors, Subtle and Simple. Until you are able to get one of the Limited Edition ones. Although, the one you have displayed is a master piece.
You’re right, but let me offer a true rationalization. Unlike any other luxury item you can buy, the E.B. humidors increase in value … especially if a limited edition one. I’m not in best of health and recently redid my will. There were a few items I wanted given to friends, but I had to include rough estimate of value for purposes of total estate worth. Ergo I got $ value for mine. My model hasn’t been made for awhile and colour (pistachio) is unusual. Today I could get double what I paid. No, not as great a return as putting same $ in Vanguard NASDAQ index fund, but I don’t keep my monthly statement out on coffee table and daily admire like the humidor nor could that piece of paper serve real purpose of keeping safe my hall-of-fame collection of progressively aged cigars. In old days a Porsche 911 would be in same rare class and Rolex watches till recently, but not anything outside fine works of art have ability to perform in similar manner to Elie Bleu humidor.
Kirby, this sounds dumb perhaps. But some people win the lottery and buy things or blow all their money. Me? I'd sincerely like to have a day or two with you getting a proper suit in London. LoL
