Thank you for sharing this practical knowledge Jo. I am quite new to TEFL, but am a strong believer in listening to my students and tailoring my lessons to give them the best possible experience. By this, I don't mean that I am just friendly, but I endeavour to create teaching or a course which helps them develop in the best way for the time they have with me. It is about listening and modifying the approach. I also share some of my experience with my family as they are able to help me critique myself too.
