iam learning how to do this for my wife. she had a bad sewn in before and it pulled her hair and it was just horrible. this process looks great! thanks
I feel for your wife I had not one but 3 bad experiences with a sew in weave and lost a ton of hair and money. The only good thing to come from that horrible experience is I've learned about other options that I can do myself.
Had my daughters father do some of back of my hair last week! It’s really nice you did that for her. I learned backwards method, so he didn’t have to do my whole head 🙂
I didn't think anyone could give me any tips and tricks as I've been getting hair extensions for 14 years but the tape removal trick!! Mind = Blown! Thank you! :)
Just awesome that the stylist chose a client with certain challenges. In particular, a very uneven parameter line. It's easy to show clean work when a client has ideal conditions which is so often done. Very refreshing to see that Mandie, is willing to show us,"real life", situations that help us all build confidence on so many levels. Grateful to you Mandie, for all your positivity! Respect "ThatBlondeGirl". By the way you're looking rather slim these days. Good work girl.
Beautiful!!! I totally understand the pain about having breakage! Loved this! I just got tape ins, this color blends so well, the hardest part for me is having them blend with my natural hair so you don’t see the line as much. Still working on finding a way but this was super helpful thank you!
I know this video is old but OMG THANK YOU for the tip on using foil to get the tape off!!!!!!! I’m literally doing it right now. The glue on my current tape Ins is SO TACKY and was taking forever !! Not to mention messy AF. this really works - I found that it’s best to be standing up when your scraping the tape on the foil so you can exert a good amount of pressure. THANK YOU!!!
MANDIE!!! I just love ALL of your videos!!!!! I learn so much from you! Im from Dallas Tx! I have been owning my own salon suite for a year now and I have learned so much from just watching you! I am now soon about to start offering extensions to my clients! Im so glad I found you doing a video about this!
Ya'll are such beautiful and inspiring ladies. Thank you so much for the tips on extensions. Having trouble with mine and needed to retape them and I am just thankful I found your amazing helpful video! I just hope my replacement tape is up to par! Thanks again!
I am so glad i found your channel! I’m a stylist in Claremore Oklahoma and am wanting to learn more about extensions! You just taught me so much thank you!!!
I've alwaysso been a fan..since the almost very beginning. I adore your personality and your heart. I can not believe that you don't have like a million subscribers because u deserve it!!! also I live in maine in the middle of no where and my dream is one day to find you and have you do my blonde hair and to have you install tape in extentions which ive never had ,but want to because of you! because of my heart nerve and tissue disease I loose a lot of hair so I've got super thin hair and never go without my clip ins but because I've got them in every day of my life I would love to try tape ins! I love you Mandi thank you for inspiring me and my wish is to meet you one day..I seriously would cry!!!! I adore you always will support you xoxo
I absolutely love this video. I learned four new tricks. especially the angle tape position for front of face. On a budget and need to apply my extension myself at times.
I am so grateful for your channel. I have learned a lot of great pointers from you. I agree that its so important to removed the old adhesive before applying new adhesive. I will try the foil trick next time. You mentioned sometimes you have clients do their own removal. Curious to know more about that please
Man die, I did find that a quick shot of a warm blowdryer helped to have the old tape come right off like Ball of glue goo on one of those Credit card “To Whom it may concern”. Literally peels right off like nothing on the tinfoil. Works like a charm! Saves me quite bit of time and sore fingers with zero nimble movement!!!!!💋
I'm going on vacation to Jamaica the end of August and I'm really wanting to get tape in extensions before I go, do you think it would be a good idea or should I just wait until I get back from vacation?
This video was very educational. I’m getting extensions tomorrow and I’m so excited! But I’m also nervous about taking care of them and how they’ll turn out. I got 4 boxes of hair!!!! And the longest is 20 inches so it’s gonna be down to my mid back, it has never been so long naturally so I’m really excited and I hope I feel like a princess because that’s the goal lol
THANK YOU!!!! Iam a cancer survivor of just under a year. The journey to heal was over a 2 year period and I started to loss my hair so I did not want to give her anything from me so I shaved it before big "C" was able to. Ha! Ha! So I feel not as confident aa I want and hair is the word. Please never stop being a star that you are for all us. How long does my hair have to be before it will be able for hair extensions? Tape and extensions what would be the best for me. And hey love you abd thanks Tina
Love love love your videos!!! I'm currently a cosmetology student, right at about 500 hours now ( almost half way yay!) and I love watching your videos!! We don't get much color walk ins here at my school so watching your color videos and fun videos like these I feel helps me a ton! Thanks so much 😛❤️
Hey dear! I love what you do!! So in love with your work, what is your pricing with the tape ins? Placing and putting them back in, I’m havnt trouble knowing what to price to my clients when it comes to tape ins, thank you in advanced love x michelle from holland
It’s been my life long dream of having long hair since I was a little boy and at this point I’ve dealt with so much breakage from changing my mind on color and random things like people cutting off way too much that maybe I should just get extensions especially because my hair is long enough for that now at least but I’m worried they will look to perfect and not rugged enough but at the same time I really think I could pull it off really well
Tape in extensions are my favorite! Its relaxing to apply. At my work we use the tape solvent but It doesn't really work so I'm definitely trying this tip!
Hi Mandie I absolutely love you you're an amazing hairdresser! Can I just ask, what tape do you use and what remover is best? Love from GB 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💋💋💋 Xxxxxxxxxx
Looks amazing! I’ll be getting this done ASAP for the first time for hair growth as well. Not because of damage, but because I can’t seem to get past the in between phase from short jawline cut to past the shoulders! It’s beautiful the work you’ve done! I just need to find a place to go, annnnd the right tape ins.
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I learned a lot about tape ins and I have been wanting to for quite sometime now! As a fellow hair stylist you inspire me so much and I hope to someday have a salon similar to yours!! It's BEAUTIFUL and totally my style! 😍 keep em coming girl!!
I'd like to request a video. In this video at the end you said you have to take care of your extensions as you would your natural hair. What are some tips and tricks for taking care of your natural hair?
Once I have the tape in extensions applied, can I cut them in half? Will it make them look maybe a little more naturally balanced and will it maybe feel a like a little less of a tug?
What I don’t understand though, is when you are removing the tape from the extensions, and then you apply new tape to the hair without cleansing the hair from the remover 🤔 I always have a pretty decent amount of the remover on that area from removing them. Do you have a video on how to remove tape ins?
my hair dresser didnt remove the tspes!! but.. my tape ins never fell out they just got thick and funky.. mine didnt slip at all layering the tapes between move ups and i kept my hair for atleast a year with 6 to 8 weeks between move ups
Hey thanks for the tip. I’m not going to tell you who I am but I’m a Stylist at a well known salon and I really appreciate this tip. I just started doing extensions, our franchise isn’t carrying them for now but we’re looking into it. Regardless, I have bleached blonde, naturally extremely curly, coily hair. Wondering if you’ve found any for extremely curly blondes? Thanks again.
Due to a lot of hair loss I have tried wigs and toppers but it doesn't make me feel comfortable. This extension trick seems cool, how much does such a procedure cost and how often do we need to go back for a touch-up. Your reply does mean a lot 🙏
The hair is the crowning glory for a woman. When your hair looks bad it doesn't matter how great your makeup is or how fabulous your outfit is, your hair makes the look. Love my extensions. I'm addicted to them! It's exciting to take them out then re apply them. But ugh removing the tape such a pain. Definitely gonna give your removal technique a go.
I'm looking into getting tape-in extensions for my hair. I want my full head done. I'm just looking to add thickness, I don't want the hair any longer than my length right now. I’d have to slap you when you said “fake hair” after I just paid $500 for real hair. 😮
Best tutorial I've seen honestly. I have a "chemical haircut" as well, so this was a huge help 😊

Hello 👋
Thank you so much for this video!!!! I’ve learned so much from just this one video. From removing tape to re-taping!! U go gurl!!! Thanks 🙏🏼
So happy to finally see someone who does the same as I do and my clients' hair has gotten so much longer by using tape 👍🏻😊💞🌺
Starintheblue Vargfrost my hair actually got a lot thinner and shorter, and I removed them exactly as I was told
Love this video! Such great tips, I'm going to try using a foil to remove the tape when I get back into the salon!

If there such a thing as a really GOOD tape to use or that u would recommend for replacing the original tape??
I am so grateful for your channel. I have learned a lot of great pointers from you. I agree that its so important to removed the old adhesive before applying new adhesive. Great tip with the foil! Do you clean the remover oils of the extensions before you remove the tape on the foil?
Where is your salon located. What a great tip the foil. Thank you
Her hairrrr 😭 that is so so so sad! I 100% agree, confidence totally comes from hair!
a different nose might help too
+Aari ana that's a little rude
+Aari ana wow you're kind of a bitch. There's nothing wrong with her nose? It's a nose.
@@agirl1491 her nose is the prettiest! I wanna change my nose like hers.
Hey!! That's amazing! I just wonder if is it OK to use purpple shampoo with tape in extensions? Since this one is not sulfate free. Thankssss

Hey dear! I love what you do!! So in love with your work, what is your pricing with the tape ins? Placing and putting them back in, I’m havnt trouble knowing what to price to my clients when it comes to tape ins, thank you in advanced love x michelle from holland
I'm so glad I found this video!! this is going to help me a lot to put in my tape in extensions.
Mandi hello I love ur videos. What kinda extensions do u use pls I want to know
What do you use to remove the extensions from their hair?
It’s been my life long dream of having long hair since I was a little boy and at this point I’ve dealt with so much breakage from changing my mind on color and random things like people cutting off way too much that maybe I should just get extensions especially because my hair is long enough for that now at least but I’m worried they will look to perfect and not rugged enough but at the same time I really think I could pull it off really well
what about putting it in a pony tail ??? wont the horizontal side tapes... stick out ?
because when flipped up toward the crown it wont lay flat
Tape in extensions are my favorite! Its relaxing to apply. At my work we use the tape solvent but It doesn't really work so I'm definitely trying this tip!
So when you use the tinfoil to remove adhesive it is from the tape that was already applied and you removed and are now re applying ? Correct ? ?
Hi Mandie I absolutely love you you're an amazing hairdresser!
Can I just ask, what tape do you use and what remover is best? Love from GB 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💋💋💋
Xxxxxxxxxx
What do recommend for dry damaged hair like hers? Also is there anything you would recommend for thinning hair or something to help growth/thickness?
Looks amazing! I’ll be getting this done ASAP for the first time for hair growth as well. Not because of damage, but because I can’t seem to get past the in between phase from short jawline cut to past the shoulders! It’s beautiful the work you’ve done! I just need to find a place to go, annnnd the right tape ins.

wich product do you use to remove hair extensions?🙂
Hey Mandie do you do fusion hair extensions as well ?
Gabby Ceballos I have fusions and they are the only ones I will use because they are so natural looking and move like my real hair.
Awesome as always Mandie! 💜 your work!
Once I have the tape in extensions applied, can I cut them in half? Will it make them look maybe a little more naturally balanced and will it maybe feel a like a little less of a tug?
Lorelie Davis Layered hair cuts plus wavy/curly looks much more natural
Great video! Can extensions be placed on wet hair? Or should the hair be dry?
no you can't , because the tape will be strong stricky on your hair , your hair should be dry .
her hair is marvelous.
What I don’t understand though, is when you are removing the tape from the extensions, and then you apply new tape to the hair without cleansing the hair from the remover 🤔 I always have a pretty decent amount of the remover on that area from removing them. hi! i love your videos? where you have your salon?
Due to a lot of hair loss I have tried wigs and toppers but it doesn't make me feel comfortable. This extension trick seems cool, how much does such a procedure cost and how often do we need to go back for a touch-up. Your reply does mean a lot 🙏

I'm looking into getting tape-in extensions for my hair. I want my full head done. I'm just looking to add thickness, I don't want the hair any longer than my length right now.
