    I feel like this video gives more important info than the actual training course through dream catchers. And the lady in that video tells you to use hairspray and the thought of “but it’s alcohol based” went through my head

    • @Dreamcatchers
      @Dreamcatchers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can use a small amount of hairspray to control flyaways, but it must be dry before applying extensions. There are also hairsprays that are alcohol free.

    Hello ! PLease answer one of my concerns !! I love your work but i was wondering if is it completely necessary to thin out / shatter the hair before tape ins?? I have a long bob and my hair is pretty dense but i wouldn 't wanna mess up the haircut and the ends

    • @zanepurvina1804
      @zanepurvina1804 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No you definitely don’t need to thin it out

    • @Dreamcatchers
      @Dreamcatchers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you don’t thin a dense bob, you will have to add more extensions to blend it out, but it’s always your call! It doesn’t have to be done, it just makes it easier to blend :)

    How long can tape extensions be on hair, can it be used again several times on hair, will it hold on the hair without falling off, does it feels like our own hair when we wear it, would the attachment still be invisible on short and thin hair and can it make hair worn?

    • @sigridvanosch1990
      @sigridvanosch1990 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can retape them. After 6 weeks it's best to redo them.Whether it feels like your own hair depends on the texture of your hair and the extensions. I've had Asian hair for a while but now I'm getting Brazillian, which feels closer to my own hair. In this video she uses russian/scandinavian hair. I think it's a little thinner than Asian.

    • @Dreamcatchers
      @Dreamcatchers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      With what Sigrid said is correct. I wouldn't say it is thinner though it does vary brand by brand. The extensions can be worn for months and months depending on how the client takes care of them. They do need to come into the salon every 4-6 weeks for maintenance.

    Wow, that was beautiful. I need those in my head. Where are your located? And how damaging to your natural hair taking them out? You can’t wash your hair I’m assuming? I don’t believe in dry shampoos, that’s just discussing to me. It’s like hand sanitizer without washing with soap and hot water.

    • @Dreamcatchers
      @Dreamcatchers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The headquarters is located in Dallas TX. When done properly there should be little to no damage to either the natural hair or the extensions. And yes you can absolutely shampoo your hair, and we encourage it to maintain healthy hair and scalp.

      @@meganjones6354 I used tape-ins for years. I haven’t lost a hair that wasn’t supposed to fall out as my hair would naturally lose. My thought would be that whomever took them out, needs to use more product to release them and didn’t split them at the top to allow the product to penetrate and also didn’t allow the product to sit long enough before removing them. They seriously just fell out of my hair and I was able to reuse them a couple of times (they were really good quality) by taking off the old tape and reapplying new tape and they worked well. I feel horrible for you, I had such a great experience but the glue remover was a huge issue for sure. I wish I could remember the name for you. Good luck if you try again and I know that the glue remover came from an African American Hair Supply Beauty store so that might be an issue because that supply store always had the best stuff and is always high quality with really knowledgeable staff! If you loved them, don’t give up!!!♥️

      @@meganjones6354 and hey......Meghan......I’m a Nurse Practitioner and I did my own hair for over a decade with tape ins so if I can do it, YOU CAN DEFINITELY do it and you can DEFINITELY do it yourself with a great bathroom mirror and an IKEA mirror so you can see the back and do a Brick pattern etc. TONS of tutorials I never had....I just watched like a hawk at my old salon I went to......watch and learn....ha! Or is it....”Snatch this pebble from my hand Grasshopper”! Ohhhh I loved that show!!!!!! Good luck hon but don’t give up. My hair is all my own now as I became ill and had to stop all chemicals and Gingers go White, not Grey, and I haven’t found a tape in that matches me well enough to do it again or I’d be on it asap as I loved the thickness and extra couple or 4 inches I added. Gave me a Feminine feel and would not make me feel so Granny OLD with White Hair!! People do think that I PAY for this color so when I am asked “WHO does your hair!!??”, my answer is “G-d”......and I got a shocked look and then a smile and then a good laugh. But it it’s true. Anyway, just wanted you to keep on trying! I do remember the glue releaser or whatever it;’s called, brand name, and it was Great Lengths.
