The Gospels are some of the most reliable ancient documents and this video explains why. But also be sure to check out the full series where we look at a ton of evidence for the reliability of the Gospels. It’s important to remember we are not arguing the evidence in this video is enough to show the Gospels are reliable. We can only argue that from all the data in this series.

Read! The more you do, the lesser your faith becomes in Christianity.
You can atleast spot some contradictions if not hundreds.

@@QCMP Reasonably we cannot radically change our worldview and accept the resurrection to be true based claims from a single group. Where are the external or hostile accounts confirming resurrection? To what extent did eyewitnesses directly contribute to the writing of the gospels? Were the eyewitnesses who were alive at the time of writing of the gospels actually fact checking what was written? Why do the gospels give such radically different accounts of significant details? Did Jesus go to Galilee after the resurrection or not?

Ask them where does the Quran claim to restore or correct the Torah and Gospel, instead of confirming them, which it states time and again.
      They cannot.
Thus they do not get to claim bible corruption, since the Quran itself never states it.

@TerribleTerms About as stupid as calling scientific paradoxes "contradictions" because they seem to make no sense on a glance and devoid of context:
      1. Is the Schrodinger cat dead or alive? It can't be both nor neither.
      2. Are photons waves or particles? They can't be both.
      3. Are electrons particles or undefined clouds of possibilities? They can't be both.
I can go on and on.
      See how it works?
Just like all the above have explanations, so does your list.
You just choose to ignore them when convenient...

    • @el_killorcure
      @el_killorcure 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@TerribleTerms One example: when in the OT anyone "sees" God, it's to a point.
Moses asked to fully view God, and was told it was not possible for he would die as a result: Exodus 33:20 (one can find multiple examples of men being terrified at and unable to witstand the presence of God after the Fall, due to our now sinful nature)
That is what John means that no one has seen God until Jesus made Him (The Father) known through him (The Son).
But to understand and even be aware of this, you need to do some actual reading (the Bible must be read in context and as a whole, not quotemined in isolation).

It's crazy because I just read in the Old Testament this morning. This is what I read
    Ezekiel 20:45-49 LSB
[45] Now the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, [46] “Son of man, set your face toward Teman and speak, dripping out words, against the south and prophesy against the forest land of the Negev [47] and say to the forest of the Negev, ‘Hear the word of Yahweh: thus says Lord Yahweh, “Behold, I am about to kindle a fire in you, and it will consume every green tree in you, as well as every dry tree; the blazing flame will not be quenched, and the whole surface from south to north will be scorched by it. [48] And all flesh will see that I, Yahweh, have made it burn; it shall not be quenched.” ’ ” [49] Then I said, “Ah Lord Yahweh! They are saying of me, ‘Is he not just speaking parables?’ ”
Because God aka Jesus (God in the flesh) talked like this in the Old Testament too.

Hello, IP, thank you so much for this video, I also believe that the Gospels are really reliable.
    I love your videos.
I was thinking about whether there is a method to give more authenticity to the Gospels if they are compared with other religious history texts. I mean, if using the same methods for other sacred books, can we then conclude that the texts are much more reliable if the others are less so?

I believe people disagree with the gospels more because it is full of personal theologies!! Mathew Luke mark and John have their personal theology of Jesus.
To disagree that Jesus existed or that there were no eye witnesses is silly because there is many upon many proof, Thus those who disagree with the authenticity of the gospels disagree because it is men doing personal theology of Jesus. Which is a question of faith in which many do not have!

Freemasonry is wrong. They think that Yahweh and Baal are the same being, when Yahweh proved in 1 Kings 18:16-44 that he is not the false god Baal.
They blaspheme God's holy name by combining it with the false gods Baal and On. Holy means "separate/set apart." So when Jesus said, "Father, may your name be kept holy," he was saying, "Father, may your name be kept separate from other names." The Freemasons call their god Yahbalon/Jubalon, which is combining God's name with false god names.
In 1 Kings 18:16-44, God proved that he is not the false god Baal through the prophet Elijah, so out of all the false gods to choose, Baal is the absolute worst one they could've picked. This is why you ALWAYS hear "balon/ballin" in all of the rap/hip-hop song. Even in songs of other genres. Doesn't matter if it's pop/country/spanish/rap, they all do it. It's even entrenched in some Christian songs (mainly Christian him hop songs)
The password for the 1st degree is "Boaz." The password for the 2nd degree is "Jachin." The password for the 3rd degree is "Ma-Ha-Bone" and is the one most often used.
The handshake for the 1st degree is a regular handshake with your thumb pressing on the knuckle of their index finger. The 2nd degree handshake is a regular handshake with your thumb pressing the knuckle of their middle finger. The 3rd degree handshake is called the "Lion's Paw" where you wrap your pinky and thumb around their hand and they do the same.
The 3rd degree handshake also has five points of contact between you and the other person called the "Five Points of Fellowship" (which isn't their satanic pentagram) 1. Inside right foot. 2. Inside right knee. 3. Lion's Paw. 4. Left hand on their back. 5 Right cheek.
The ritual for the 3rd degree is a mockry of baptism. In baptism, we die, are buried, and are raised with Christ. Their ritual is like a play where you play "Hiram Abiff" who supossedly helped Solomon build the first Temple. You are blind folded and play Hiram and are "slain," literally buried where they throw dirt on you with a shovel, and then someone playing as "Solomon" prays to Jubalon in Jubalon's name and you are "resurrected."
Their god is a false God.
Teach people the Trinity and pray for the lost.

My guy, yes they were. There is no proof whatsoever they hung out and wrote it together. Matthew went to India. Paul was going around Rome and Greece. Luke wrote down what the other people who were there said, like Mary Jesus's mother and Peter. Mark was doing his own thing. We know who wrote them. And they were written at different times in different places based on different perspectives. Also, if they all got together to write them they 1. Would not have each written their own version of the same book. No one does this. And 2. If they did the books would be identical in every way with no differences. Yet here we are.

    • @JackStraw-d8b

@ pretty much every scholar believes mark was written first. Matthew and Luke used mark as source material. John was written later. I never said they hung out. There is very little evidence that they were even written by 4 single people. It’s much more likely they were anonymous and written by other people.

    1. Circular reasoning regarding memory reliability
Claims Jesus taught in memorable ways to help disciples remember
But this assumes the gospel accounts accurately record his teaching style
Cannot use the gospels to prove their own reliability
    2. Problematic use of "undesigned coincidences"
Treats minor details aligning between gospels as evidence of truthfulness
Ignores possibility of later authors deliberately adding complementary details
Many "coincidences" could be explained by later writers having access to earlier gospels
    3. Selective evidence on dating
Asserts early dating (50s-60s CE) without addressing scholarly arguments for later dates
Downplays significance of gaps between events and writing
Ignores evidence of theological development between earlier and later gospels
    4. Oversimplified view of oral tradition
Assumes cultural emphasis on memory guarantees accuracy
Doesn't address how oral traditions can change over time
Fails to consider role of theological interpretation in shaping traditions
    5. Methodological issues
Repeatedly assumes historical reliability to prove historical reliability
Dismisses alternative explanations for textual patterns
Fails to apply same skeptical standards to supernatural claims as historical ones
The core problem is the argument begins by assuming what it aims to prove - that the gospels represent accurate historical accounts rather than later theological interpretations.
