This video is a special kind of treasure. I don’t have friends, never really have and no one who shares my excitement about watercolor so watching the two of you have your special day was wonderful. Thank you for bringing joy to my day. Loved the both those little gems.
I just wanted to encourage you: there are so many sketching and painting events around nowadays where you could find people equally excited about painting! You might want to check out the Urban Sketchers, perhaps there is a chapter nearby or visit a local art course. ❤
That was so delightful! So inspired by Joanne's handcrafted paints. I've done natural dyeing but never tried making paints. I swooned for that little brick paint🧡Your shared joy is contagious. What a dream to have a true friend to paint with.
Loved watching this …….. two friends just having fun. But also want to make comment that is was great seeing you use the tiny palette . Very enlightening knowing how much you can do with a tiny, tiny palette! Thanks to you both.
I just discovered your channel and felt inspired! I loved this one! It's so good to be around people we feel connected to. Real, positive and peaceful friendship is always a treasure to be kept ♡
I'm only halfway through the video, but I absolutely love the chat you two have on the picnic table and how giddy you both get with paints!! So cute and exactly how I feel with my art friends :)
This was a pleasant video. Thank you. My sister and I used to go painting together. She lives for away and when we finally meet up we show off our new supplies and run out of time to paint. Love the brick with paint. I put my favorite most used colors WN colors in small shells. It looks so artsy. 🎉
“So fun! So fun!” I can’t decide if you think so or if you’re trying to convince yourselves LOL! That’s so hard to do that fast and to let go of your norm! Good job!
What wonderful fun! Thanks for sharing. It was nice to see how two kindred spirits interpreted the same scene in different ways. Again, thank you both.
Can we take time to appreciate how well you both wear scarves?😉 The brick stone to hold brick paint was very cool, as was the little village where you painted. I have a piece of charcoal that I pilfered from the remains of a beach fire that I use for drawing on occasion. Delightful video.
Delighful afternoon you all had. Finding friends through TH-cam and instagram, etc is so cool. That's how I meet artists since there aren't a bunch here. I'm going to find Joanne's now thanks so much.
What fun!! All of it but I really liked watching you paint in a different style, Leslie. I like the end result but I liked the "faded" version also. Fascinating to hear and see the homemade colors. Thanks for sharing this!
Aw, that was fun! I was inspired to do a quick sketch too, mostly from imagination because I didn’t bother stopping the video to have a better look at the cottage! 😅 But I had fun too!
Thank you Leslie for sharing this beautiful painting moment with another amazing woman !!! Because of you I' ve "met" a new artist and I'm pretty sure I'll catch a brick next time to try her tip 😁😉👍🙏🏼 Bises
I’m in Australia and my best friend since 2007 lives in Ottawa, Canada. We’ve only met physically twice in all that time. Met in BC when our husbands were at the same meeting for 3 days and again for less than 24 hours in Australia yet we chat almost daily. Our common interest initially was photography. Where would we be without the internet?
Hello Leslie. Thank you for sharing this lovely video which was not just about painting .. I immediately started to follow Joanne on Instagram. She answered back in the minute . She’s a lovely person. I have become a real fan of your channel and I am really looking forward to the next videos and your Instagram posts. Ps: ohh ! These tiny painting boxes 😍
Hi 😊 lovely video, where did you get that lovely wooden box you packed your art supplies in at the very beginning of your video? 😍 how much fits in it It’s lovely seeing the art supplies both of you carry with you. 👍🌸
Lovely fun video. I don’t know anyone who sketches but it must be great getting out there for a day of food, chat and of course that last minute pressure sketch. Thanks for sharing.
To each their own. I don’t need all my art to out live me. Using natural pigments is a beautiful way for me to appreciate life cycles, including my own. And… Some pigments last for years. I can always digitally scan my paintings to last forever. But even then, that’s not forever.

Never made a lot of friends either.

Awww thank you. I felt like I should have edited it more, but figured some people might appreciate the real time chatting and painting. 😊
I know you did this a few months ago but it is such a special video. Making new friends that make you feel they will be there forever.
Thank you so much! I loved meeting her. ❤️

Oh!! On further watching it’s a wooden easel! 😍 such a clever idea 💡
It’s from Blue Star Crafts (they are linked in the description). 😊
Awe!!! Leslie!!! This was so lovely to watch! Beautiful video! I feel the same about you! What a gift to know you and call you my friend.
We need a redo in Scotland! 🏴❤️
Yes please!!!

It was so much fun! Creating a stressful painting situation with a new friend is a great way to bond! 😅
Yep. I’m sure that’ll do it!
Now you need to find yourself a tiny little frame for this painting. So lovely, and so nice of you to share your meet-and-paint.
I’d love to make my own tiny frames! Bucket list!! 😊
@@LeslieStroz Oohh, side project. ;)
Such fun so envious
Aawww luv this xxx😊
Oh what fun! Would like to do this with my best friend too…..

I love it!! So tiny haha!
Such nice video❤
Beautiful video!!
Thank you! 😊
*Leslie* 🤗
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That village looks exactly like the place i dream to live in but im a bit afraid of racism tbh
I don’t understand making paint that fades and/or isn’t lightfast. All that time, effort, creative output for something that doesn’t really exist.
