Sir kya me aagar mujhe MOSFET add krna ho to kese krege kya aap MOSFET ac circuit breaker pr video bna shakte he?
You can add MOSFET instead of SCR with same circuit, as MOSFET is also a three terminal switching device just like SCR. Circuit will function in the similar manner as it was during SCR in circuit but we are operating at 230 V AC supply. So SCR is preferred over MOSFET for this particular application due to its high power handling capacity.
Bhai D2 should face downward side......Gate terminal needs only positive half cycle then it should avoid negative one.....acts as half wave rectifier
Nice explaination, but during postive half cycle of input ac supply How diode D2 becomes ON? as we require anode is at +ve polarity with respect to cathode for its conduction/ operation

How switch will be open during abnormal conditions
Good Question.
Actually there is a particular control circuit which senses the abnormality by comparing it with set standards. If any abnormality sensed it opens the switch. It's like a relay which gives signal to the switch. As we are studying from the point of view of power electronics it's not essential to go in details of that part.
