Seward Alaska is one of the most RV friendly towns we’ve ever been to. There are hundreds of sites available right along the ocean for $20 per night dry and $40 night with water and electric.
In this episode, we joined Seward Ocean Excursions sewardoceanexcu... for a wildlife tour of the Kenai Fjord National Park. Video was unable to capture the size and scale of the fjord and the magical color of the water.

Every guy needs a Trish. What an incredible wife and mother!
I smile every time I see her.
This was a TOTALLY AWESOME video! My wife and I were laughing so hard we almost could not breathe. Trish, when you mentioned the spaghetti sauce on the ceiling, I thought I was going to fall out of my chair. Thank you both for sharing such a wonderful moment in your lives, and allowing us to share your traveling adventures.
Lol
I'm with Marc. Cooking is hard to do if you want to be able to eat the food. And I'm not really that picky, either.
My wife says I'm addicted to this dream of us becoming full timers. I am blaming it all on you🤗. I know it's not all going to be fun and games but I know full time RVing will bring peacefulness during our adventures. Thankyou for living and sharing your travels. God bless your family!!!!!
We were the same way. It took us a couple years to get our ducks in a row. That's an important piece. Going too soon might not provide the same experience. We listened to a lot of podcasts (including our own) to help give us ideas and keep it real.
It is a wonderful experience and with all the information from KYD and all over the internet you can research and be prepared for anything that comes your way! Good Luck to you.
God bless you Trish for having everything prepared ahead of time instead of letting them fend for themselves
This should be titled Trish Goes Home from Alaska-and We’re Lost Without Her 😂
Great video ❤️
Looks like Trish forgot the post-it note to remind Mark to use a pot holder.
Yes haha
funniest bit in the video. That and the question 'Is there cheese to put on them?' Hurry home Trish - before they waste away! LOL
LOL Gotta remember those potholders.
I think this "might" be a guy thing. I LOVE to cook and experiment with new recipes often. (Point being that I'm very familiar with the kitchen.) That said, I do sometimes get distracted and must admit, "I've pulled this bone-headed stunt on a few occasions." LMAO. (Oh! I've also gotten VERY good at dodging those pesky sharp knives when they go on the attack and jump off of the countertop.) THOSE suckers should learn manners. haha
Such a beautiful video. I cried this morning when I came across this and saw your sweet girl being welcomed at GCU. Today I got official word of my acceptance into GCU's Doctoral college! I will be pursuing online and keeping the daydream with my two sweet baby fur boys. Florida bound and living the dream! Congrats to you all, thank you for sharing your amazing adventures and perhaps we will catch you on the road sometime!
I rolled on the floor laughing during the food segment! Hysterical! And the followup at the end with mark was priceless! Another great video! Thank you
The footage in this video is incredible! Wow! Alaska is so beautiful! BTW that youngest so of yours has sure got some personality! He cracks me up!
Oh my gosh, I was laughing so hard at so many times during this video, this has to be one of my top 5 favorite videos to date. Keep up the awesome job!
You would know! I think you've seen all 5 seasons in just a few weeks.
Took me about a week but I finally watched all your videos and I an caught up. Wow what an adventure for you and your family. Keep up the great work and the inspiration.
This was, by far, the best episode. Authentic. Bravo 👍🏼
OMG Trish, did you know that train ride was going to be so epic?! BEAUTIFUL!
Almost tinkled me jockies when you walked out with the stove pipe hat 🎩🤣🤣🤣👍🏼
I can so relate to your pain Mark. My wife goes to our rv on the weekends while I work and being married 17 years this Thursday I find myself going back to my bachelor days. The weekend meals consists of a heavy diet of cereal. I was laughing hysterically at this video which I must say is probably one of your best to every man out there. Thanks for sharing!!
I just want to say thank you to you and your family. My wife and I have learned so much from watching your videos, following your adventures. I call it my RV 101 time when I come watch you or Jared's All About RV channel. We have started our plan, a few years of saving and then we will pay off a truck and a travel trailer, figure that'll help us save as our littles grow up with a life on the road. As a side note, I have seen Ginger 1 on RV trader, and while it's not exactly what we need, I'm so tempted to buy her because I know all the love and time you spent making her a dream home for us adventure types. God speed and keep the rubber on the road! Maybe our adventures will cross paths one day. Thank you!
Such a fun video! The post it note meal list segment is exactly what happens at our house. My wife is an amazing cook. When she's gone I eat cereal - and even that takes too long to prepare. You guys do such a fantastic job with your videos. Absolutely love them!
Mamas are the glue that hold it all together. Love her well guys, she deserves it. The more you care for the Mama the more she has to pour out on you guys.
That being said, come on guys, you can make a couple of simple meals. She did all the hard stuff for you.
I totally identify with Mark.... When my wife and/or mother leave town, I drop about ten pounds... I love food, I just don't have any cooking talent...
You guys are so inspirational. I took my wife, kids and nieces and nephews on a hike to a nearby mountain forest, and they all loved it. Next outing will be out on a boat in the ocean....
WOW. This video must be oscar nominated. Some youtubers get too become too commercial after a while. You only get better at editing / audio / ideas and real spontaneous moments. And a prayer in the end. More of Mark as a chef. Hysterical
I graduated from GCU with my BSN and MSN. So awesome to see she went to the same school. Blessings
Goodbye is always hard. Hello is always amazing, and your videos are absolutely the best! I love the way you share with us as if we were right there. The quality of editing, precision in filming and personalities that you all throw in totally stands out. You make us all feel like we know you very well. What great family you have Marc! Oh, and you SO landed the perfect woman in Trish. I can tell she has no problem keeping up with you, and even surpassing you. Super good channel! I'm so hooked!
Laughed my head off. Marc you are a blessed man.
Mark and Trish, Just gotta say I have been following you since your episode on going solar and you are a lot of fun and very informational. But, in particular I have been LUVING the episodes on ALASKA. Although we now live in Colorado, we live in Alaska for 30 years in Juneau, Anchorage and Fairbanks, we have been to the places you have featured and done the things you have done there, it is just like visiting old friends. Thanks so much.
I can explain the spaghetti on the ceiling. My mother always said that when spaghetti is done, it will stick to the wall. He was just checking....love this
So loved this episode! Your trip is nothing like my trip to Alaska! Wish I had seen this before my husband and I went there!
What a great episode!!! 😀 My wife and I were cracking up the whole time! Thank you for always creating funny and family friendly content!
Watching your family on your adventures has turned into a family tradition for ours. Have really enjoyed the season
Really liked the way you transitioned from Alaska to the train, to the journey, to the dorm, to the video phone call and back to Alaska, very creative how you came full circle! Awesome video! 👊
Binging! I like it :)
@@KeepYourDaydream Lol, Busted! I totally am, started Christmas vacation 4 hours ago... gotta get caught up on my youtube! 😉
SN5 is good for that. Loved the music. SN2 is still our fav. Warm and friendly! Well, we like them all :)
I should have pre-watched this video before letting my husband see it. LOL Now he will be looking for a menu any time I leave him and the kids alone in the RV. :) Absolutely gorgeous footage as usual.
Lol
OMG!!! I am dying!! Trish you did great! And the impression of Mark at the refrigerator door -- HA - that is my husband! Great video! (And the glacier was amazing!!!)
Marc! She said to shave some parmesan on the burgers! this was a GR8 episode. Super fun, loved all the 20-year married banter.
Great seeing you! So much fun. Still kicking myself. We'll get project green done.
She said on the broccoli, but I was thinking "why not both?" lolol
Best RV Shows ever! Yep all of them!
So when Trish does her cooking segment, we all get hungry. When Marc does a cooking segment, we ge entertainment . Now for Carson and Caleb. Mom needs to teach them so they can take over for Mom from time to time. And looking at the counter behind Marc at the end. Says enough. Always enjoy the videos.
So cool, it stopped me in my tracks when I saw Trish do it. My wife learned it after her father had a stroke and couldn’t speak, she wanted to be able to help people in his situation be able to communicate. I learned some from her, haven’t used it much lately, but we still will say I love you when we depart.
Hope you guys have enjoyed Alaska, we left our hearts there when we visited, have enjoyed watching you guys very much, love your family dynamics.🤟
I can't believe how into you all I've become - I even got teary when Trish left on the train.... sigh. Favorite line from Mark "I've eaten that before, I've never cooked it!!" Love you guys - keep up the videos!
I’m moochdocking at my son’s house in Calgary after spending three months in the Yukon and Alaska. So I’m using his wifi to refill my cup with videos of the northern experience. I think I’m making it worse! In any case, I just rewatched this video from last year. You are right about that restaurant in Seward. It was awesome. I went out to eat there with 6 other people. Three of us had various allergies. They were very gracious and accommodating. The food was awesome! I also stayed at your second campsite. Fabulous view and terrific location close to everything. Thanks again!
Wow, the view from that train ride, amazing! I never really had any desire to go to Alaska since I'm from Washington State and thought that it wasn't all that different with the same green trees, mountains, bears, fish, etc., but after watching a couple of your videos, it really is! So expansive, wide, tall, green and Beautiful! We will be putting that one on our travel list. Loving your Alaska videos and all your humorous banter too. Fun getting to see Tori moving into the dorm too...lol...bigger than the rv!
You nailed it. Expansive is exactly what makes it so incredible.
Hi All - I came to your channel from Nathan & Marissa’s channel. I live in their hometown. I’m loving your videos and adventures. Hope to get to do my own adventures one day. I watch your videos during my lunch hour everyday trying to get caught up. So sad and sorry about sweet Maddie.
My favorite time on Sunday nights is to see that KYD notification! Great video as always!
I know you hear this often, but you guys rock. You Tube is amazing. It allows you to get to know and become friends with people you will never meet in person.
Great update . I really enjoyed watching this one . Laughing the whole time . This so reminds me of when my wife is gone for a bit . Trisha you Rock. Mark totally cracking me up with your reaction. Great video guys!!!👍🏻👍🏻
Marc, when Trish was explaining the menu for the week, you could have used the “Old Guys Rule” statement just before saying “Yes dear”. LOL. Love your videos. 😂😂
Following your family adventures , fill like I'm there with you, wanting to get an RV and start my own adventures . LOVE YOU GUYS and LOVE YOUR VIDEOS , thanks for sharing!!!
This was so funny and realistic. Hope you didn't burn yourself Marc. Have fun guys.
Your editing is freakin insane! Loved every part of this video, but dude, you're helpless when it comes to feeding yourself without Trish..wow :) I love to cook.
Brings back memories from two years ago when moving my son into GCU. The kids almost move too fast to unload your vehicle and get all that stuff to the freshman dorm rooms. Great episode KYD!
C’mon dad. You’re all bundled up and your sons wearing a T-shirt walking down by the fishing boats.
Love the videos. Very entertaining and love the background music
That’s my school. I helped with welcome week! She should definitely do it next year it’s amazing and so rewarding. LOPES UP!!
My fiancée have spent the last 6 months apart, besides a week here and there. But I just traveled to Florida to pick her to move out to Colorado with me. I’m so excited to have her next to my side full-time again! I see how it can be without Trish! My fiancée and I have been together for almost 6 years and originally moved in together after being together for 6 months.
Awesome! Some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen, nice video as always!
Oh. My. Goodness. That rig is going to be a mess by the time Trish gets back. Lol. Fun peak into your lives. Thanks for sharing!
You put big smiles into my face.
Thank you.
Greetings from Hamburg Germany
The train gives such spectacular views! Nice work on laying out the meal plans for Marc.
To many people show the "good life" they live. You guys show everything that can go wrong and does go wrong. Thank you for sharing the mishaps you have like the rest of the world, lol. I hope you didn't burn your hand to bad. Please keep up the great videos. Thanks again! Safe travels to you and your family. We promise to keep watching.;)
Whoa . .. an amazing video all around. But that train ride!! adding to my bucket list for sure. thanks so much for sharing all the adventure. Safe travels.
This was as funny an episode as ive seen. Funny because my wife and i can relate as its so real. We are from the UK so only do a trio to the US every few years. Right now we are in Lake Tahoe. Your videos are a must watch for us every week. Thankyou for sharing your lives and for making us both cry with laughter this week. Sending good wishes from Carl and Suzie.
Trip not trio
So good, loved the back and forth between normality, scenery and the trips.
Ha Ha Ha Ha "Come back" - Carson says when Trish is boarding the train. Great video.. AGAIN! We always watch this with a smile...
Soooooo funny, Trish looks exactly like me trying to wake up my two oldest boys at the beginning of the video.
I've got to say...Mark you had me sitting here in my dorm room laughing hysterically. I feel you on the cooking, I have been away from my wife for 2 months now (only 10 more to go!) here in Korea (I'm in the military) and I was just telling her that what I make doesn't taste near as good as what she makes. We have been married for 21 years and she does all the cooking at home and has "created this" as you say. I absolutely enjoy watching your videos and can't wait until Monday's to watch the newest episode. Thank you for the entertainment. Have fun and safe travels.
Wow. Thanks for your service. 10 months will go by quickly and your fav dish (and wife) will be waiting :)
Loved loved loved this video! This made me laugh so hard because it's pretty much the same way in our house. We've lived here over 30 years and still no one but me knows where things are.... lol. Keep these videos coming!
I love watching you and your family, such wonderful people :-). You both were so fortunate to find each other.
To be honest I didn’t expect that Alaska is beautiful like that because what I always hearer that’s only frizzing place I will definitely visit one day. However, from Saudi Arabia to guys we love so much and you are an awesome people. God bless this Country ❤️
Once again another awesome video. The editing is fantastic. You two are so funny, along with the rest of the family. We look forward to every episode. Take care and be safe.
Professional tip.......meal prep your food for the week, use individual dinner sized Tupperware to portion meals. If someone is hungry they can just grab a meal and heat it up. 2 meals for 4 days....8 meals per person......less waste and cost. Trish you've got that....seriously thought you where a pro when I started watching, you know flavors and are major passionate. Love watching you guys!.
Door slam!!! Oh gosh that was funny!!!! Good job, Tory!!!
Tori is Trish's twin with Marks red hair. Beautiful family. Amazing job capturing the train ride Trish.
Wow lol what a wonderful place to be and see ..thanks Marc..can't wait to hear about what you did on the stove there lol..you really don't like it when Trish is gone do ya lol..take care see ya next weekend..
We had our very first RV experience in Alaska..... Never imagined how beautiful it is!!! Seward was one of our favorite stops. Recently purchased an RV and we will be off on another adventure next month ...can't wait!! Love your videos....and as many people say...wish we had done this much sooner when our children were younger so they could experience this with us!! Have you ever been to Ohio....?? We have some great places for you to visit if you ever make it here!!! Safe travels :)
Loved it !!!! Great to see you again Torie !!!! Have an awesome year and keep us updated on your adventures !!! We all laughed when we saw the beef jerky .... sad Marc ... sad Marc .....
You guys are hilarious!! Love that train, another experience to put on the bucket list! My friends daughter move to the dorms at GC. Good luck Tori!
This was the funniest episode...my husband and I laughed so hard when Tricia was going through the menu.
A MAZ ING scenery! Trish, you needed your little hand pointing out the menus. I miss your little hand. And I've missed Tori, too...so sweet to catch a glimpse of her New Dorm Joy! Great vid, Marc! :-)
Awwwww so good to see Tori again! 😊
That’s a great way to end the video I laughed so hard. I can’t wait to see what the rig looks like when Trish gets back, and if Mark has any burn marks🤣.
Wow, one of the best scenic videos yet! Loved it!!
I love train rides and that looks like one for the bucket list. Stunning views. What an exciting time for Tori!
oh my gosh.... that was too funny.... LOVED it... made my day for sure!! hopefully your hand is ok!!
Absolutely love your videos, guys. We will be heading out next spring for a couple months in our 33ft'r trailer. We look forward to seeing some of the things like you do. Such a beautiful family. So much love. The kind of family everyone dreams of. After 30 years, (HEY! 10 more than someone here!!) the love grows stronger as well. Be safe.
Haha the Sticky Notes! Dun dun duuuuun.... Love your guys videos! Ive been following you guys for a while now and my wife and I are learning a lot from your vids! Thanks for everything yall do! We are currently in Delphi UT with our 33ft Jayco! Livin the daydream!! :) All thanks to you two!
You guys are having a BLAST up in Alaska! Truly Planes, Trains and RV's :-) Glad to see your kids growing and expanding their horizons all the time! Stock some Ramen noodles next time LOL! Have fun & be safe!
Haha probably shouldn't laugh but you were too funny about the whole cooking thing 😆. Thats train looked awesome. I loved the two times I took a train across country. Great video. PS aloe works real well in burns 😉
Oh my. My kids do their own laundry. I guess I better work on cooking. I love your videos - and nice to see Tori again! I miss Mark and Tori’s Tips and Tricks.
You Guys are Ammazzzzingggg, Thank You for Your In sight.
My favorite Seward History story: There is a high security Prison on the other side of the bay. One time, (quite a while ago,) someone escaped. They ALSO managed to get across/around the bay to the the city on the other side, where they robbed a house and stole a tent, some camping gear, and bunch of booze. Next they climbed the mountains heading toward what would be Anchorage, only to find the Harding Ice Field atop.... a glacial field the size of Connecticut. Whatcha gunna do? Guys sets up the tent and proceeds into the liquor. Too bad he had stolen an Emergency Orange tent and was now a missing fugitive camped very conspicuously on a completely white ice field. Needless to say he was captured quickly.
Hahaha haha not very bright, huh 😛
There was booze involved....
Lol 🤣....I knew one of those guys.
OMG i love it! Mark don't feel bad I do the same thing! Keep up the great videos!
You guys crack me up! A+++ for entertainment value on this one. That looks like a great dorm room, Tori 👌🏻🤗
Best video yet. I love Trish!
Oh my goodness! Y'all's discussion about food in the kitchen before Trish left...I think we have had that same conversation. LOL I was laughing too hard. -Frizzle
Addicted to your channel!!!! Just bought a new Grand Design too. IT was time to trade the bumper pull in for the 5th wheel. Excited to hit the road now.
You all are the best. Video and editing skills are awesome. Always happy and you don't have a bunch of personally issues. Plus you have great kids.
Lord have mercy Mark......😂 So great to see Tori ❤️
Keep up the great work on the videos I love that you are sharing your lives with us.
😭Tori's having the time of her life right now. It was good Mom was there to help her get situated. Marc you've got this.....you can cook and feed the boys while Trish is away. Loved the video of the countryside, mountains and water.
Alaska is just so amazing!
I have seen all the videos I think keep them coming you all great.
Your menu planning discussion was beautifully relatable! 😂😂😂😂
Such a funny video that I think a lot of us wives can relate to! My late husband and boys were spoiled as well, they rarely cooked anything, but my late husband would cook Sunday breakfast. I didn't work, so I felt it was my job to take care of my family, but I realize most wives work now and chores should be shared. But I had to laugh at Mark as it is how my husband was. Although I know dang well he could cook if he chose to! The spaghetti story had me chuckling. Thanks for sharing these memories! Tori has a great dorm room. My youngest had a dorm apartment his first year and 4 guys shared that. It had two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living/dinning room and a kitchenette-sink, fridge and microwave. They had a good amount of space like a regular apartment. He then chose to live off campus the rest of his years. So fun but a little sad getting them settled in a college. Have a great year Tori! Hugs, Brenda
Ohh the banter!!!
good lord Marc.....love you guys.....your a bad ass editor and videographer, you've built an amazing channel. You can cook dammit!, apply yourself lol!. killin me when Trish leaves!. Bing watching, going full time this summer, absolutely love this channel, I learn so much from you guys!, maybe if we meet up on the road Trish and I can cook up an epic meal.
