Read our tips on their blog here and leave a comment over there with your ideas! 📝www.wilderness.co.nz/blog/campervanning-is-the-secret-weapon-for-a-teen-holiday
My daughter spent her first two college years going to school in New Zealand and loved it though my wife and I weren’t so pleased at first. It’s a beautiful place. She came back home to New York to finish her degrees but those two years of school in New Zealand gave her the travel bug. Sense finishing school she has worked for habit for humanity all over the US. Spent a year in India and Budapest teaching. Lately has visited Russia, Iceland, and the Ukraine for the fun of it. Seems once you start traveling you really get the bug for it. I really enjoy your videos
This was amazing seeing you swimming with dolphins. These are the memories that will stay with your sons and the stories they'll share with their children and grandchildren in the years to come. Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure - New Zealand is a breath taking place.
My favorite thing about your channel is the ability to see the humor in otherwise stressful events- and the obvious obsession you two have for each other. Perfect for Rv life. Perfect for the world we live in. I’m sure you argue and have pet peeves but your children are so lucky to have parent that love each other and adore their teenagers!!!!
Seriously my oldest texted to ask when he has to come home from his friends house (been there two weeks after promising it would be one day) and I said he doesn’t have too... but I’m sure he will need shoes and such soon
We have had so many of those break down crying moments, after something else broke!!!, Gotta love RV Life! Thanks for sharing the ups and the downs! ya'll Rock!
All of that great footage takes a LOT of time, thought and effort... thanks so much for sharing it with us! On an even more positive note, you don't have very many windows left to worry about, just keep the windshield in tact, lol.
The dolphin footage was superb. What an amazing visit to NZ and so cool to be able to share that experience with your teens. Something that they will always have, no matter how much or how little they realize the experiences at the time. Well done Tricia and Marc.
Amazing! 💗 We've watched all your videos in the last few months, they've inspired us to get going!!! This week we moved into our new Motorhome we purchased March 2nd, and our home in Fountain Hills is up for sale!!! We pray it sells quickly so we can get going....we have a lot of catching up to do! 😁 Love your Children, they each have their own wonderful personality! GOD Bless You All! 🙏💕🙏
Too funny that I'm reading this comment as I sold my condo in fountain hills, AZ last month and just bought a 42' tiffin phaeton. Best of luck to you on your journey!
@@RVingwithAndrewSteele Small world Andrew! We once thought Fountain Hills was the greatest place to live, but we watched Marc and Trish's videos and realized America is the greatest place to live and before we get any older we better get going! Good luck to you! Safe travels! GOD Bless.
Good morning Trish & Mark...Just wanted you to know that your videos are sooo top notch! I mean really there are no other rv'ers that even compare. Every thing is so perfect....from the music to the drone footage...the scenery & your personalities. I never want them to end! Just love ya's!! Deb... in upstate NY
OMG I’m from Oklahoma and with that wind and those sirens I would’ve been seriously trying to get underground! LOL. Great content btw.....and those dolphins scenes!!!!!! This was one of my all time favorites!
Best video ever! I was ugly cry laughing with Trish! The Dolphin Encounter video was amazing. Great choice of music too. So fun watching your explorations!
You guys can't seem to catch a break with those windows :-D. Here in Iowa sirens like that mean a tornado has touched down somewhere near by...although sometimes now days it can just mean high wind which I think is not really good around here cause then people start ignoring them and what if it's not just high wind. Anyway glad you all made it through that unharmed and finished off with an awesome time with the dolphins and a sheep station. Oh and beautiful scenery too
I used to live on the North Island about an hour north of Auckland. The town's fire department used the same siren to call out the volunteer fire brigade. I don't recall if it was weekly or bi-monthly, but I remember being spooked the first time I heard it. Someone at the station would start the siren, then the volunteer fire brigade would meet at the station, take the truck and then go down to the river, then spray some water into the river to get some practice in. This was in the mid 80's way before mobile phones or paging systems.
I am continually astounded and astonished by the quality of each week's installment. I smile, laugh out loud and find you both, and your kids, so entertaining! You are all so natural and, somehow, excited to bring us new adventures each week! Thank you so much!
You family is amazing! I want to truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for your enthusiasm in agriculture, and the way you showcase it to the world. My husband and I are dairy farmers and work so hard caring for our animals who are not only our livelihood, but part of our family. When I heard the sheep farmer got 12 dollars for their wool it literally brought tears to my eyes. The hardwork and dedication it takes and that is all they get! Eye opener. Your enthusiasm for what others do is awesome. You make me excited just watching the video! You really pull me in with you guys so that I can experience the journey with you! Just amazing....Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤ Trish don't worry about the window...man I was laughing so hard I was crying too!
OMG you’re killing us with all that great scenery and activities! Your video has gently taken on a new flavor that I really like. You two play off each other tremendously well and now your drone footage has a very nice balance with the ground level footage. Thanks for all the work and info!
I watched this last night and I didn’t think I would ever cry watching keep your daydream, but I did. Trisha made me cry. I have teared up at some of the beautiful scenery however. Those sirens here in the Atlanta area signify a tornado! I can’t believe that isn’t exactly what that was.
The 🐬 s were amazing and everyone that I know or have seen have all said what you have told us Trish!! You HAVE TO SWIM with the Dolphins!! I bet you guys All had an Wonderfully 💓 Blessed trip!! Thank you for sharing!!!
I absolutely love your videos. I know they take a long time to edit and I totally appreciate that. However I'm always sad when it's over. Thanks so much for the time and the effort you put into making them.
Wow! This is our favorite episode. Why? Real! Real emotions. Real life! A real trip! Lynn and I are always blown away at the sheer quality of your production work and editing work. Every time we think our videos are getting a little better we see the bar raised a little higher by you guys. The dolphin experience would have been worth the trip for us. Couple all that with the time you get to spend with your boys at a time when they normally would off doing their buddy things... well it just makes us smile. Did I miss it or did you say how window #2 was broken? PS, the Big Red Beard is coming right along. :-). Owen, Lynn and Maggie
Wow, second window. She was a little upset. Thanks for allowing us to be with you. We have a had a run where all goes bad and it is tuff to keep it together. Trisha was up and at em. I need to go back to cool school.... Great shots again. It’s really the first time I have seen New Zealand other than With hobbits.
Love traveling with you and your family through the lens of your camera(s). Your videos are informative and always with a touch of comedy. You guys just seem to keep it real and I really enjoy your content. Wishing your family the best.
We went to an rv show in Lafayette La. this weekend and I wore my KYD hat. Two different couples ask if I followed y’all and how to get a cap. Y’all are so beautiful 😍 and thanks for sharing your time with us.
Swimming with the Dolphins AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!! I Always wanted to do that Love Dolphins, & Thank you for teaching us about the Sheeps!! & OMG another window? You guys have such luck on windows lol!!! Hope you called them about this window 2 that actually wasn't your fault.. Love you guys.. Thanks for another AWESOME video!!!
Thanks for your advice re the kids (young adults). We are heading to NZ in October with our 2 boys who are 20 & 18 and this will probably be our last vacation as a family (they’ve already rarely travelled with us over the past 2 or 3 years). We’ve already made plans/allowances for them to do their own thing and to enjoy some nights out together when we are in the larger cities. I’ve really enjoyed your NZ videos, though we are hiring an SUV and staying in Airbnb‘s so we can have our own space at the end of the day. We have done a lot of travelling and camping with our pop up camper over the years so it’s nice to splash out a bit on trips like this.
Just 4 years late watching, BUT I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH!!! I swear I was screaming at my screen USE THE LADDER FOR THE BEDS!!!! Sorry yall had so many "DIPS" but it certainly looked like an amazing trip. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR COOKBOOK AND MAGAZINE, AND THE ENERGY I GET FROM WATCHING. Keep up the good work!!
Wow that was a scary start to a video. New Zealand is so beautiful and you guys have done an amazing job of showing it to us. I say keep driving till front windshield falls out. How is the coffee there? Cheers!!!
Hey Marc, I was the guy that struck up a conversation with you at the AgriCenter RV Park in Memphis. You are absolutely right...with that new camera, those slow motion sequences of the dolphins are amazing! Oh, if you guys ever do get up this way in Atlantic Canada, we are Boondockers Welcome hosts, if you need a place to stay around Saint John, New Brunswick ☺ - Rob
We have a Wilderness trailer, we lost a window somewhere on the Arizona freeway last year. Thankful it didn't hit a car, if you find it you can have it. :) Love the New Zealand videos, looks like so much fun.
Oh my gosh that was beautiful with the dolphins! We see them here off the coast of Florida but not like this at all! That was just so extra!! Your videos are always so GOOD!!! I love them!
What a wonderful video! We loved the underwater footage of the dolphins and we thought it was great how you guys found a way to laugh about a second window being broken! LOL! We wondered whether or not we would be so cheerful! LOL! But you have to take life in stride don't you? Thanks for another beautiful adventure!
You said you spend hours picking music. I must say I really appreciate the music for these recent videos. It’s a real vacation, beachy, vibe through a slightly alternative lens. Thanks for putting in the work to make these beautiful videos.
seriously in awe!!! mouth wide open jaw to the floor.. what an awesome experience thank you for sharing.. and the facts made funny by Trish so funny. you guys have they best videos. known by many i recently seen a comment on motor home experiments live video a comment about kyd's trip to New Zealand i thought that was cool . when are you guys gonna do a live video that would be cool anyways great video safe travels Nancy
You’re videos are so entertaining! It really makes me want to go anywhere! Been to New Zealand and thought it was beautiful, but still so much more to see.
Oh no, can't believe you guys lost another window! But what fun stories you have over it. Hey, it's things like this that make life interesting and give us a good laugh. Those sirens where a little nerve wracking, but I'm sure they are any where! The dolphins were amazing, I can't even imagine how it must have been in person! Wow, wow, wow! Can't wait to see what you guys are up to back in the states! Hugs, Brenda
Trish I hope you scored some lanolin....it’s the bomb! Another great video ...my gosh NZ is gorgeous! Please tell us you got the extra insurance to cover the window damage😳!
Another fact for you.....The turquoise color of Lake Pukaki, near Mount Cook is a result of suspended particles of rock flour in the water reflecting blue light from the sky. Rock flour is very fine powdered rock that is ground down by the action of a glacier. The fire siren is very common in rural NZ, and they also test it weekly often midday Saturdays. They often have volunteers who get called out for fire, rescue, car accident, medical response, civil emergency, etc.etc. often only sound for 1 to 2 cycles, unless they need additional support. Apologies for freaking our mid-west viewers!, where tornadoes are alerted this way. Mind you, with the breeze the strength it was, you would be forgiven for thinking that one was coming over....
What a great video! I really enjoyed Trish's knowledge of the dolphins and the footage made me feel like I was there! Your music choice was perfect! I would love to see New Zealand!
It's funny you should say that. Some people accuse us of not showing more of that and we realized that it's because we have a travel trailer and not a class C. In a trailer, not much happens before we get ready and step outside, but in a Class C... keep the PJ's on and move up front to start driving!
You and your family are hands down the absolute best TH-camrs. I've been following you and your journeys; and am so very impressed with the great videos and beautiful adventures. Thank you for posting :)
Hey loved this segment. ( But then I love them ALL ). Trish like your facts on dolphins - I am the same - like to read all there is to about what I am looking at. Great trip. Like the sheep shearing also. So much fun. Love New Zealand hope to get there someday. But in mean time can watch you guys!! Yeah!! Love your videos's . Keep up the great job.
I love my Sunday evening travelogue with KYD. I was hoping Trish would provide us with facts about the Dolphins. Thank you! And taping a window is an art. You're artists.
Hi Thanks! Thinking going back to New Zealand, i was looking back on old photos and it's been over 20 years since we there with the hole family (Time flys by). Love you're work and vlogs North Queensland Australia. 😁
After watching the dolphins, I am reminded that your a few thousand miles from "Gone with the Wyinns" The couple that traded in their rv for a catamaran and are sailing around the world. Stay healthy and enjoy life.
If you have to break up the RV, at least it’s the same item and you know how to repair it!! Then dolphin adventure was simply beautiful! These beautiful creatures coming to check you out as you observe them. I love that Trish was in the nursing pod! Thank you for sharing your beautiful adventures with us! Until next time...
that drive in New Zealand along the coast (it is Amazing) reminds me of the drive along the Baja California Mexico coast from Rosarito to Ensenada, great travels!
I would LOVE to not know what a tornado siren is! Tricia had me crying last night. Rewatching the lavendar farm today. Cannot wait to put this sticks and bricks and static neighbor life behind me! Thanks to YOU I see it as possible!
So many thoughts! Trish, sometimes we have to laugh to keep from crying, and then we still kinda cry 😢 Men in New Zealand wear some short shorts! We are always doing something stupid or crazy things happen to us, like constantly, so we get your pain. 🤣 We have good intentions to be good RVer’s! Great episode 💕
I just subscribed to your channel recently and I absolutely love you guys! I love the adventures and I truly love your energy! Thank you for sharing and being you❤️

Keep Your Daydream can’t wait for next season. This was a beautiful video swimming with the dolphins. Thanks for the share Mark and Trish!

The Hinsley Hitch how to video was quite informative, but i think the real hit would be the "Trish Window Replacement" how to video, safe travels.

ElBeezMovinOn Linda B Fieth I’m from Colorado, I was scanning those clouds for a tornado. Lol. That’s exactly what our tornado siren sounds like.

So incredible and swimming with the dolphins, OMG! What a trip you guys had!
Wonderful video as always. I look forward to your weekly adventures and feel like I know you.
Hector's dolphins are a cool subspecies, very friendly and love hanging out with humans. Wish we'd had time to do that in NZ last time we were there.
Always the best videos. I can’t stop watching. They are over to soon. 👍🏻

What a great video! I really enjoyed Trish's knowledge of the dolphins and the footage made me feel like I was there! Your music choice was perfect! I would love to see New Zealand!
Excellent video, well done as always. This one was special... How fun! Thanks for sharing
The REAL side of RV'ing nobody seems to want to share! Thanks for the realness (bed head, pj's, tears??, etc)
It's funny you should say that. Some people accuse us of not showing more of that and we realized that it's because we have a travel trailer and not a class C. In a trailer, not much happens before we get ready and step outside, but in a Class C... keep the PJ's on and move up front to start driving!
Beautiful photography, scenes, landscapes, video footage, fantastically done. Good blessings to you all.
Love Sunday nights
👍
Enjoying all the videos, and giving us wonderful ideas. New Zealand may be on our retirement list now. Alaska definitely is!
Hi Thanks! Thinking going back to New Zealand, i was looking back on old photos and it's been over 20 years since we there with the hole family (Time flys by). Love you're work and vlogs North Queensland Australia. 😁
Love Trish's Facts and Hot Tips! I will be using the carabiner life hack for sure. Brilliant! There's always something to learn from KYD. =)
Amazing video! Pure art on the dolphins segment. I love your music choices also!
Thank you, I laughed so hard, I almost cried. The entertainment value....priceless.
Wow, what an experience to swim with the dolphins. Your time in NZ will not soon be forgotten.
After watching the dolphins, I am reminded that your a few thousand miles from "Gone with the Wyinns"
The couple that traded in their rv for a catamaran and are sailing around the world. Stay healthy and enjoy life.
Great video, loved the dolphins. Thanks for sharing. I always look forward to seeing you all.
That dolphin footage was so beautiful. Also, I’m definitely going to use that Hot Tip™️ about the carabiner.

This has been an amazing journey. Thanks for sharing it. I truly enjoyed it. Absolutely amazing views. Now I wanna go there and do the samething.
I would LOVE to not know what a tornado siren is! Tricia had me crying last night.
Rewatching the lavendar farm today. Cannot wait to put this sticks and bricks and static neighbor life behind me! Thanks to YOU I see it as possible!
So many thoughts! Trish, sometimes we have to laugh to keep from crying, and then we still kinda cry 😢
Men in New Zealand wear some short shorts!
We are always doing something stupid or crazy things happen to us, like constantly, so we get your pain. 🤣 We have good intentions to be good RVer’s!
Great episode 💕
Come on..Trish didn't blow out the window this time, the wind did....LOL poor Trish....enjoyed this so much, it was fantastic...
I just subscribed to your channel recently and I absolutely love you guys! I love the adventures and I truly love your energy! Thank you for sharing and being you❤️
