Darth_Kane here. 20+years D2 player. And what we have here is "d3" and "d_immortal" all over again :) Mediocre mobile game mechanics and game-play, masquerading as DIABLO. Pair that with Elder Scrolls level of cinematics, in 2023 non the less, and you get yet another mediocre ACTIvistVISION-cash-grab. And you paid how much for it? And needed to buy a next-gen console or an outrageously expensive PC to play it? When did people become so spineless and gullible :D Consume, you little sheeple! Gobble, f@ckin'gobble. At least FromSoftware is still around, 'cos the real BLIZZARD sure as hell isn't.

also another plus, no commentary makes it better for the viewer, less of obnoxious commentary from a guy thats annoying and doesn't shut up, it's always a plus in my opinion.
there's a way to do quality commentary walkthroughs of games that i know it would work well, but unfortunately most gaming youtubers is just screaming at camera and repeating the same thing 200 times.

Nice to see the character using the staff to conjure magic. When I used to play wow, Staff was only on character's back. SOOOO useful...

The cinematics make you think AAA, then you see gameplay and are transported right back to the 90's

This is for hardcore gamers that like actual gameplay, leveling up characters and unleashing hard earned upgrades on enemies. You should go play BG3 and watch dice roll around for every characters turn in real time. Sounds more your speed.

Man Diablo games have come a LOOONG way and of course Blizzard cinematics never disappoint.
I played a lot of Diablo2 back in the day and this game has D2 vibes (music, the fallen and the shamans). Didn't like D3 but this one is very good.
D3 isn't as good as D2 but it's not as bad as people try to make it out to be. I think it just gets a bad rep because of that shitty auction house it had when the game first launched
@@AIMusicCoverCentral I don't think D3 is bad necessarily but its just boring and bland due to Blizzard's need to "balance" and "streamline" their games. D3 is basically the video game version of a mindless blockbuster action flick, nothing but bright colors and big explosions with nothing deeper behind it. Plus, it's an actionized sequel and I hate when a franchise goes full action. Hence why I'm not a huge fan of RE4 unlike apparently every else on earth. I liked classic RE tank controls and all.

At last they made a Diablo game look the way a Diablo game should look. D3 was just wrong art direction and aesthetics for the series. It was an obvious and glaring mistake on Blizzard part and people were vocal about it at the time, but Blizzard kept defending it and telling us arrogant and frankly insulting BS about how it was for the better (like we are idiots and don't have eyes). Oh well. I'm glad they returned to their senses after all. I guess they really need this game to succeed after years of disappointment after disappointment on all fronts. So finally they started to listen.
@@etinarcadiaego7424 I definitely prefer the more horror oriented RE games as well but i still love re4 since its just a very well made game and doesnt go too overboard as 5 and 6 did imo. Have you played the remake? Its obviously still very action oriented but it has a tone more in line with the recent RE releases and gets rid of some of the camp of the original. Its also a lot more tense than the original and definitely feels like survival horror with its more scarce ammo economy and tougher enemies, especially on the higher difficulties which are pretty great. Id give it a try if you arent a fan of the original.

@@JackSmith-mk1ru Bro thinks every piece of media with demons and guts is copying berserk. Not every piece of media is copying berserk simply because they share dark settings. Berserk is a lot more than its setting and has concepts that have no relation to diablo whatsoever. Even if diablo had more similarities there is nothing wrong with taking inspiration and building upon ideas of one story and working it into another with fresh ideas and perspectives. Dark souls is hugely influenced by berserk, are you a fan of it? Or do you simply write it off as a copy as well? Despite it having many unique ideas of its own and has itself gone on too inspire many games and media. You should know that berserk itself was influenced by many stories and pieces of art that you could say it "copied" but i guess you dont want to bring that up huh? Hellraiser is a pretty clear inspiration for berserk, as well as several manga by go nagai and fist of the north star, as well as working in several classic art like mc eschers paintings etc. Quit being a moronic fanboy and acting like berserk invented dark settings with demons, which it very much did not.

My only question is, why didn't you purchase a horse as soon as you were able? As of right now (June 15th at 8:45am) I'm only 3 hours and 15 minutes into the playthrough. I'm hoping that MK gets one soon because I couldn't imagine how irritating it is to have to go everywhere on foot in the game. Horseback is always faster.

I see that you have game-engine cutscenes not running at 60 FPS. They are locked to 30 FPS by default, but there is an option in the settings to unlock them. They look much better that way, in my opinion.

I see in diablo 3 seasons and rewards and everything .. which is nothing in compare to diablo 2 for example, old game with stable plot without online. Is this possible just buy game and play plot without online routine, rewards, leadership race and just enjoy playing alone ? Or nowadays diablo 3 and 4 made for online and coop gaming ? Because diablo 4 is expensive I am not sure that it will such nice experience as diablo 2. Also I heard about donations does it cause a lot of problems ?

D2 is just an absolute masterpiece as far as dungeon crawlers. I will admit that I did play d3 and it’s fun for what it is-just mucking around and doing rifts/bounties for loot and playing seasons but I don’t take d3 seriously, just lighthearted gameplay. There is lore but compared to d2 and the original it’s extremely watered down. D3 is fun for what it is. PoE held the crown for a bit when compared to d3 because it had a lot of elements that reminded us players of d2 but then that also turnt to crap. I think the graphics in d4 are incredible but they should be with the tech nowadays. Personally, I’d recommend people to just play them all. Manage expectations and it’ll be fine, however d2 I will always be king.
D2 remains a legend. I remember playing the demo as a kid and then managed to get the full version years later to only be as excited as I was years ago. The sounds and voices are so mystical.

Good to see you enjoying the game, from a dedicated 20+ year Diablo player, this game is nerfed to hell (pun) and anything that gives a player an advantage, they nerf that too. I do not see this game lasting as long as DIII at all. Took you almost 30 minutes just to kill Lilith, I am sorry I made the purchase, should have stuck to my guns after playing the pre-release and not buy it.

Think this games need to do the fighting in either a mortal combat style or a first person view style like assasins creed to make it more interesting. Fighting rrom such a far vantage point feels like your missing out on the action!

I still play D2 after 20 years, has too many cool mechanics and styles for personal optimization. All the new diablos are just a shell of what it could have been.
