Kevin, my father passed away 4 years ago today. We lived in Anchorage from 1976-1980. Your epic documentary reminded me of the many happy times we had as a family growing up there. Thanks to you and your family for creating this work. I am sure it took hundreds of hours to put it all together. Hopefully we can share a coffee or beer in AK one day. Glad you got to see it from the air! So here’s to your family and Klaus Kracht! My dad. Alaska was his favorite place on earth. I am glad I got to watch it today. His presence was felt.

What an outstanding adventure/documentary you have produced! I have only recently begun watching your channel and I love it. I went back and am watching every video, chronologically. I saw this video came out today and was torn about whether to watch it, now, as I am currently up to S1e25. Glad I watched this one. Incredible how much Caroline has grown. Thank you again Kevin, Sarah, and your daughter for such an awesome adventure! I fly 40 Mile Air from Tok to Fairbanks and back as taxi. For a 200 mile at $210 and 1.5 hour flight along the 180 mile mountain range is awesome! They fly every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I live here in Alaska, and I enjoy watching people like you see this vast state of more than a lifetime of new places, and new, land to adventure in! Thank you for sharing! When I was younger I relentlessly tried to get a job in Alaska. I had to settle for Washington-but a beauty in it's own right. I will make it to Alaska... in my 4Runner Tank Girl with or without my trailer Jet Girl. This was beautiful and a good reminder of what awaits me in the near future. It has always been at the top of my bucket list. Beautifully put together!

We did 24 days in Alaska and it was such a wonderful time. My daughter was 11 at the time and the experiences she had are some of her favorite. We rented an Rv and and SUV and just winged it.
The Milepost was an absolute help. Along with google.

Kevin, you really have that gold panning bug! I wonder, have you ever compared the gold rush to the modern economy? What I mean is, where are todays gold rushes?
Personally I feel like TH-cam is a modern day gold rush. It takes a lot of time and effort, with absolutely no guarantee you will get any views. Some folks make it big, some make a little, and unfortunately some go bust.
I hope this perspective finds you well, in my opinion you have made it big in todays “modern gold rush”

Just in time! I was revisiting season four and I was about to start the Alaskan episode.
I’ve spent so much time up on the slope in winter and fishing steelhead in the southeast but it has been many years. You guys did a great job on this. We are heading up the Dempster next year and into Alaska as well. Hopefully catch up with you at expo west next month and swap some stories😊👍

This reminded me of the perfect yummy place in Colorado in telluride, “baked in telluride” for the best eats of sweet & deli & even the most awesome pizza!!! Took the plug out so it would drain. Didn't want the hooks and lures getting scattered again.
Fair enough I would have still left the boat upside down though. Stacked everything together in a pile underneath of the boat. Keep the weather/sun off the guy's fishing lines, but I understand where you're coming from. @@LifestyleOverland
