We started using fix it grammar for the first time this year as well (4th grade) and have been loving it. It’s straightforward, thorough and quick! Plus my daughter doesn’t mind doing it. We will definitely do level 2 when we’re done with level 1. Looking forward to hearing about your experience with structure and style!
Its all going great so far! I don't think I would have wanted to start either any sooner than 4th grade, but I do wish I started at the the beginning of the year!
I'm incredibly grateful for discovering your channel! I was hesitant to try IEW for the same reasons you mentioned, but now wish I started it with my son this school year (5th grade) or even 4th grade. We recently switched to Beowulf Grammar based on your recommendation and plan to start IEW in the summer. Thank you again! Beowulf Grammar has made learning grammar enjoyable for us and can't wait to start IEW. Your reviews have been so helpful.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Thank you for joining me in this space. I'm extremely glad I've added in IEW I think it's going to be a fantastic addition and it's like they say better late than never!
Would this be okay to start as a 6th grader? He knows grammar but struggles. I am looking for a spelling curriculum too we were using TGTB last year but this year we are struggling. So I think I would like to try this, I did receive the free lessons to try it
@@MicheleAnastasio-b5b I would think this could be a great place to start, especially since you have the free lessons to evaluate with. There may also be a placement option also. It starts put slow but does pick up rather quickly. Some of my favorite spelling curriculums are Phonetic Zoo by IEW, All About Spelling, and Spelling Connections, all 3 a slightly different style. Hopefully one of those might be a fit for your student.
We are still very happy with this program. Since we began later in the year we are still progressing but I have full intentions of going to book 2 when we finish nose tree.

Indeed! Need late than never @@knowledgebynature8480
Does your daughter write down the vocab words & definitions? If so, where?
No at this point she just looks up the word in the dictionary, reads it, then continues the page.

Checking in to see how level 1 progressed & if your daughter is still liking it ok. :)
