If he uses his q to clear minions just fuck the shit out of him. Current aatrox has 80% of his damage on his q. There is literally no other champion that is so reliant on one ability to do damage in top lane except nasus.

So the issue about these Counters are pretty easy - unless you mastered them you will loose the lane and be worse in mid to late game. Also Renekton does not counter aatrox - everytime he dashes in he should be attacked by the W which makes the trade a loosing one and otherwise he will be in range for the Q so . . . no renekton does not counter Aatrox.

Yet again, problems are Aatrox just like Irelia, more plays on mid and jg now. and as you showed start 0:08, Aatrox easily killed Asol, which rarely counter play to it, since Asol cannot get in to dodge the knock up, Asol would always want to stay in range but that will get you knock up, then Asol's W will be forced to turn off I am an Asol one trick, I come here to look for a solution against an Aatrox mid, so tell me how
Aa has to be at a distance to actually get the knock ups. it seems to be at the ideal range for your stars and just enough time for your Q's to pop. you think of yourself as a Sol main, then you should be able to manage your distance after forcing the wave out. If the Aa player is comfortable on them, they will try and skirmish with you on that lvl 1, but obviously he becomes massively more potent with each added ability. you will get locked down and combo-ed out at least 60-90% of your hp if they get a fluid combo going.
and that is exactly the problem, good job you see what I see but Aatrox or any other good mid lane player will not let you just forcing waves out easily, they will punish you for it. Asol is actually one of the strongest of all champions pre level 1-2 that I always confidence trading for early kills but once Aatrox teaches me a lesson, one shots level 1 and I paid my price badly for it. It is like against Kass Fizz Diana Yasuo Talon, when none-mid lane players usually just say, oh you shove the wave and roam, better players will say : you find a time difference in mid as you or him disappear from the lane and then farm with it. but that is the ideal situation when you have the rhythm at some particular games against assassins. overall, I dont think there is much counter plays ( diffidently yes and winnable but only if Aatrox makes mistakes)
I just play illaoi into him and Max E. Her wave clear is nuts so she can shove back and eventually push him under tower. And her ult is brolic enough to kill him through his and again when he's revived. Just play like a bitch until you get all of your abilities.

Champion with consant dashes and tanks with sustain is best counters, wins against most matchup, but have a hard time again Irelia, Akali and Maokai. Reasons are obvious. Also best point of trade is when he used he 2 Q. If you run into him at that point he will always go thinking “my 3rd q can 1 shot” but it cant, it deals hardly and dmg by ir self and early levels his Q has a massive cooldown. Its super easy to even kill aatrox after his 3 q. very unlike riven
pick an early game punisher like aatrox, out trade him so much he has to cower in his turret and unable to get q stacks. Get early turret and roam to help your teammates after pushing the wave in so nasus is either have to stay farm to get the much needed stacks and risk his team losing teamfights and objectives or help the team with zero utility, zero damage and less items than you. round the time he got 6 either he's dog shit or you cant really win him in an extended trade, so at that point pray that your adc didnt fed his asses off and rush first item IE, or otherwise just kite and let the adc melt nasus down.
Also, wave management is crucial. Most nasus players will greed for stacks at some point, its vital that you or you and your jungler punish hard his overextends
I would rather recomend Sion more than Aatrox. Sion can punish a Nasus really easily in the early game, scales in tankyness and can also stop Nasus from farming champions in team fights, because knockups are not affected by tenacity. However, you would have to play more defensively with by peeling your adc in the late game, but can also be a free kill in early game and you can roam with your ult in order to get your team some extra advantage and end the game as soon as you can.
Ryan Doan that doesn't really work since many nasus' are one tricks or nasus mains. They already know all they have to do is safe farm and then win game if. The best way to beat him is to gank other lanes when he's freezing to cause tilt. Make sure your river is warded with pink ward for jungler IF the nasus' ever goes past the middle of top lane, which almost never happens or if it does then either their jungler is in the top jungler or their river and top jungle is warded to hell (he has no escape potential other than wither) and he can pretty much 1v9 any game by just building tank items and 1 triforce. But good luck. If your jungler knows how to fight a nasus, he already knows to get alot of control wards and just camp top lane. If your jungler doesn't gank you it's gonna be pretty hard to play against unless you have a champion like Quinn or teemo than can just troll him the entire laning phase, then it's gonna suck. And once he's past level 6... good luck Charlie.

He still out trades most of the champions without even giving the Q's correctly. I think a Trundle might beat him really easily after lvl 6
