0:25 although it didnt matter in this play, something you can do with people that have active r's (aatrox, singed etc) you level something else while in the r. it sounds super obvious but it can make a difference in a fight and its suprising how many people dont do this
u can do this with any projectile ability as well, if u level up an ezreal q while its flying, it will use the lower ranked mana cost while doing the same damage as the upgraded spell, works with every single other projectile too so technically u can conserve a lot of mana if u play around it
Nah its not that obvious, great tip! I’ve been masters for a few seasons with aatrox and I’ve played hundreds of games per season but I’ve never levelled other abilities over r while in the r, i always just level r instantly out of habit. The closest thing I’ve done to that is putting a point in q over something else to have enough dmg to kill, at lv 3 for example
@@nz4243 in wild rift, if you die with ezreal while his q is flying, and you buy some items, the q that was flying will do damage with the item added to the calculation alongside whatever on hit that item had. I tested this with that spellblade armor item
a few tips if you're chasing someone and still have R, use the R movement speed to have Q1's sweet spot right infront of them to not waste E, then use E for Q2, W and then AA, finally end with Q3 in the middle of the W pull Q1E isn't always bad, it sets up for your W to almost always hit(only miss if you whif it hard or they have movement speed buff), especially in the early game when your CD is high and you can only have one E per Q rotation, Q1E to set up for W, waste Q2, then Q3 in the middle of W, but if you have low CD, then you can Q2 in the W pull, then follow up with Q3E (usually mid to late game with 2 CD items and Ionian's boot) if you want to poke then use E and W to land the sweet spot of Q1 and 2, but if you want an all in, then save E or W to land Q3, like in the video, he tries to land Q1 without E, to guarantee his W hit, then Q2E with Q3 saved for the W pull if it's a good player that knows the matchup, they would usually run towards you in your Q1 and 2 animation, and then run away for your 3rd Q, people lost to this kind of matchup because they panic and use Q1 and E backward, which would never land on the sweet spot, just stay calm, stand still and waste Q1, Q2E backward, W and then AA to Q3 for W pull
@@manneman192 you can still q1e backwards if champions like Sett, Voli, Garen uses their Q movement speed boost to try and get onto you, provided you can predict it, don't have a dialed up internet and have pretty good reaction skill, 9/10 even if they got hit by your q1 at that point, they'll still try to come for you, then it's as easy as q2 w AA and then wait for q3 in the middle of the w
Right now aatrox is secretly so strong most people dont play him and he doesn't have hard counters really he can play safe most matchups and in some matchups he is just a pain in the ass.

I’d love to see more specific matchups from this guy, especially Riven/Irelia/Fiora into Aatrox. I absolutely love this champ, but playing against those champions feels like I rely on constant misplays from the enemy to win
There are ways to win these matchups, but never as a lane stomping way. I usually build damage components first to wave clear and to take favourable trades as they cs, as well as preventing tower dives due to waves being too big
小超梦aka XCM he can play a lot of different champs he is mostly well know for playing Sett, Aatrox, Darius , Wukong, Morde. He is really good at Aatrox but in China, people on the internet believes that his best champ is Sett, which he often does lv 1 cheese lv 2 tower dive.

Imagine being surprised a champion specialized in single beats one that's suited for AoE, while ignoring the very first play in the video of an Aatrox with two kills literally 1v5ing.
I still struggle to understand aatrox identity, because due to his W, he seems like a champ that wants you to get close, like a darius, but as far as i see, he isnt a lane bully or that 1v1 monster darius is, so i suppose aatrox is kind of a yasuo type of champion in the sense that Yasuos Q is double the range of an Auto, so if u space perfectly, u can in theory kill any melee and get 0 dmg fighting him if u dash properly, it seems like aatrox does the same but with his Q knock ups and W, and also has his E as his hidden Ace to make creative plays or to use it as lifesaver if needed, the thing i dont get is when is aatrox good a good pick, i suppose that aatrox loves grouped/ in tight spaces teamfights, but apart from that i dont see anymore indicatives but to look at enemies comp and look for that
u generally never want to get in melee range as aatrox. the whole point of the champ is just to space for outter range qs which is also it's main damage
Aatrox fits in 99.9% of compos cuz he does almost everything alone if you play it well, his cures are out of this world + death's dance it's just almost unkillable, u just save ur R and u can win almost every situation with your Qs damage and doong the right focus, u need to get resets pf his R with triumph to get that cures and playing with the Qs cooldown u can do anything u want xd
As somebody who mainly plays squishy adc/support.... Damn, look at that survivability. It's insane. I'd have gotten burned down into oblivion literaly a quarter of a second after theyd gank me.
With the changes to bruiser healing items, I've been playing around with eclips in most of my games. Do you think that goredrinker should still be the core build path? I feel like I can rekindle the lost healing through the damage conversion with high penn/dmg found in eclipse >serelda's >black cleaver
Its insane that this man pulls the 1v5 literally in challenger and in so many games, u need to think like this, normally u can 1v5 if the enemy makes faults but these guys dont make such stupid plays, like for example the Nami she throws q aatrox perfectly sidestepped while stile out of range for other threats, that is like possible the only frame he can stand and live and he sees this in the time the nami bubble was flying thats nuts.
There is no way that you believe that just mechanical things (some of the BASICS one) are the true reason of why hes peak, i mean where is the perfect itemization, perfect macroing, rune work, laning... is not all about the combo. The guide is good for learning aatrox, not for being good at high elo.
I'm flabbergasted by his mechanics being D1 myself. I don't do the early lane thing with the q i don't use my r for combos to be quite honest i either just r in do full combo or just not use my ult in the combo and use it somewhere else. He's really good mechanically (altought sometimes it look like scripts he's not even aiming in the direction when casting some of the Q's like quickcasts in a different direction his mouse is in) and smart but if it's rank 1 clips then im rank 0 like 3/4 of those clips the enemies just play like straight up garbages and like they never played vs aatrox also it's crazy somehow range champs walk up in melee range,miss half skillshots ,flash like golds or after they get deleted 3/4 of their hp kinda weird for a Rank 1 super server tbh
well, us vietnam have a caster name Van Tung, he just post bout 15-20 bout this player using aatrox, sett, darius and he explain eveything from rune, macro, item, the only downside is he talk vietnamese only

Dude thank you I have a huge problem with setts and volibears just going straight at me in q1 and I always end up using q1e.

Well, there is no other way besides relying on their missplays. Aatrox simply cant win these matchups otherwise
