The JVC KD-R520 receiver offers adjustable brightness level (0-31) for the display and button illumination; however I'm afraid you cannot change the color of the display.

Crutchfield then why would the box advertise the display color change??

I don't have an answer to that one. If I had to guess, they might have made one box for many models like they did the owner's manual. Or maybe its a misprinted box. We do carry receivers that can change display colors. I recommend contacting an advisor to get a personal recommendation on one that can. How do you turn the Jacks for an amp on? I've got all the volumes and everything I can find for the jacks turned on or up and there's no power at the back of the unit

You shouldn't have to "turn on" the stereo's RCA pre-amp outputs. If you're not getting audio from the outputs, the stereo may be defective. If you purchased the stereo from Crutchfield, you can contact our tech support department for assistance.
