Bought the same exact one in Sept. 2018 for work truck and it still works fine. When it doesn't receive a signal from my phone for 5 mins. It turns off, perfect for $8 from Walmart.
These things cost a buck now, and honestly, they work great. And the battery last freaking forever. I use it on my cell phone which doesn't have a 3.5 Jack for headphones. And I have headphones with that kind of Jack that I wanted to use. I bought this and I could use any headphones now just Bluetooth it to my phone. Really is a great product.

If there is a "five below" in your city they sell them for $5. PS: They all have a mic built in, when connected to the phone now you can make phone calls and use voice commands for those who don't know about this, you can also block the mic access for those of us who are for privacy.
I would say you didn’t read the manual, or they didn’t list it in the instructions. But most Bluetooth devices will be able to put back into pairing mode by holding down the button when I’m the device is off. When you hear the tone it turns on, keep holding it down and it will enter pairing mode, signaled by another little tone. If you haven’t figured this out yet hope this helps someone.

If your dad installs them for a living you should know that is low-mid range at best. Not knocking him as its probably better than what was in it. But "dual" electronics are not known for quality they're known for being cheap so to call them nice is overstating it. Dont need a full Alpine or JL system but could have at least went with a Pioneer sub.
I ran the 3.5mm to the RCA input’s on my amplifier powering a subwoofer. And back fed the output to my factory AUX input on my factory head unit. No replacing the head unit or tapping into wires to hook up an LOC. a bass knob is essential to control the subwoofer level. It sounds awesome
HELP does anyone know if this one has a voice on it? like some of them when you connect it says “bluetooth connected” in your headphones or “maximum volume”. It’s quite annoying. Does this one do this? Thanks.
Can you charge it and keep it working all the time? Cause first I thought It can receive power too from AUX but it has to be charged. I only ask just to make sure, you can have it plugged in AUX and working while charging at the same time so battery never depletes?

I've read that you can use this with headphones and speakers. Bully connecting your wired headphones to this they become wireless bluetooth headphones. Is that true?
u don’t have to turn it off every time you leave your car. it starts flashing once the music stops and it turns off automatically after 2 or 3 minutes of no activity. but you do have to turn it back on every time you get in your car which does get kinda annoying but the sound quality is way better than those fm bluetooth receivers which they tend to have so much interference when someone else is using a similar device.
Hey mate, good video! Pretty sure a lot of those bluetooth adaptors will go into sleep mode after not being used for 15 minutes, and shut off after 30 minutes so I don't think you'll need to shut it off manually each time unless your usb is always on
I have had 3 of them I run a stock head unit and a x15 and the Bluetooth is way louder than just having my phone hooked up to it the battery eventually stops taking a charge

After purchasing the 20$ monster bluetooth adapter it didnt take long to realize the the 8$ is way better. Mostly with phone calls. The mic on the Monster sux.

This is a Bluetooth 2.1 receiver works with SBC codec. I have a similar one for play something before sleeping, paid for 2 dollars including shipping, pretty good for it's price. For 12 dollars, you can buy a Bluetooth 4.x receiver in China, with aptx, aptx-ll. The cheapest aptx-HD receiver need 20 dollars, and LDAC Bluetooth receiver is rear, need 60 plus.
Taotronic tt-br009 has apt-x/aac, so most nicer phones support those codecs. 20-25 dollars. but yes, the limitor is probably the car audio system, which generally sucks to begin with.

I have the same, unfortunately the sound quality is bad and the battery stopped working after a couple of weeks.
the bluetooth has a little bit less high frequency or treble than the wired one

No I have one it stays on. I accidentally left mine on in my car for like 2 hours and when I came back it lost like 50%

This only works for about a month and after you throw away the receipt and then it stops working. This happened to my friend as well
