This new console offered promise of an experience worth purchasing since the power of the gamecube, and it was slightly more affordable than the PS4 And XBOX ONE at the time
@Effective lion what the heck are you even doing to the joycon because it took me 2 years to replace mine that I have thousand of hour playing games meanwhile my sister took 1 year because she keep tossing her switch or joycon by accident and let her rabbit pissed on it to the point the circuit board got wet and the controller went nuts. I still have my V1 while my sister has V2 animal crossing. Since I do some controller maintenance replacing the analog stick costing 2$ each I have no problem fixing it anyway.

The marketing strategy for the Nintendo Switch is genius. Not only do they advertise for teens, and adults, they have games for children, and market to families, something like getting a TV for your family. They’ve brought back the idea of the console being for the whole family, and that’s what sold them so many units
And since it's primarily a portable the kids will all want their own Switch. 1 or 2 TV households with 3 kids could end with 3+ Switch consoles. Instead 1or2 TV console.

The reason the switch is so popular is because it is family-friendly, has cute, sometimes funny graphics in its games, is portable and has kid-friendly games with classic characters like Mario in it. Kids just love it!!!

The one thing that will almost always be best about the Xbox is the fact that it has a TON more games that are backwards compatible, and a lot of the games that are backwards compatible are all pretty much the best Xbox and Xbox 360 games that Microsoft has released. Everything else that you have stated is definitely agreeable.
Let's not forget that the PS2 came out back when the PS1 was still getting new releases and it stayed around until a few months before the release of the PS4, making it the longest running console ever at 13 years.

The one thing that will almost always be best about the Xbox is the fact that it has a TON more games that are backwards compatible, and a lot of the games that are backwards compatible are all pretty much the best Xbox and Xbox 360 games that Microsoft has released. Everything else that you have stated is definitely agreeable.

Let's not forget that the PS2 came out back when the PS1 was still getting new releases and it stayed around until a few months before the release of the PS4, making it the longest running console ever at 13 years.
I think the Wii lasted longer a bit longer by a year or 2, with some dance game in 2020 or 2021 being the last official Wii game

I'm gonna be honest, I'm Xbox currently converting over to PC and I wanna know where you're getting this stat. As far as I'm aware us Xbox players have lost. Bro, if the console war ever ends between Sony and Microsoft, one will have a complete monopoly over that type of gaming. That would be very bad for everyone.
It’s because Microsoft hasn’t really cared for the games at all. Buying the companies doesn’t mean your gonna automatically get more units and do a better job at making them. Switch beat both because most of the games they have are exclusive while Sony has good “exclusives” ( even tho most go on pc along with xbox exclusives ) Xbox hasn’t had a good exclusive in years. Halo infinite was a huge disappointment. Sony and Nintendo deserve it. Only thing the Xbox has technically is better stats power wise but who cares if you don’t have any thing to offer besides that.
