@Mami Makala is it all government propaganda tho? The issue is we can’t differentiate what’s the truth and what isn’t. Unless you’re a chemist/biologist, you really have no clue about the vaccine. You’re not educated enough on the topic to have a valid opinion. So we have to listen to those who are educated in those fields. All of them don’t have the same opinion. Its important to look at all sides from those who are qualified. A lot of anti vax campaigns are built on fear and ignorance speaking about a new world order… ppl are dying hun, so nobody wanna hear this conspiracy bs when pandemics pop up every 100 years. What can we do to move past it and get back to normal? Do vaccines work or are they not worth it? Again, only those who are educated on these topics can say so. Some say yes and some say no… so who is right?
@Mami Makala Well when money talks, people listen. Also, when the topic is about Covid, people will also listen. We've always wanted to get paid more, and this opens up that door.
You must’ve not listened to what India Arie said and more importantly what the issue is about. They don’t want to boycott Spotify, because of what Joe Rogan chooses to say. In fact, India clearly stated that Joe is free to say whatever he feels like saying, not only one time Miss. She says she doesn’t want to support a platform, that supports Joe Rogan‘s hate speech and controversial comments. She understandably doesn’t t like the fact that they’re paying him, from all the money Spotify is making mainly off of black musicians backs, while they only get a small percentage off of the streams on that app. What you “wish“ artist would do is literally what these artists are saying. And what you don’t think is a right stance, was never said in this Video anyway.
I stand with India Arie 100% Spotify is definitely at fault for this and they have to come out and make a statement saying something. It’s absolutely no way that they can just allow this man to use the N-word just so freely and carelessly like it’s nothing. At the end of the day racism is still real and the sad thing is we live in a world where people are all about the money and that’s all that matters and nobody has character. I will be canceling my Spotify subscription
I’m a newer barb. I actually became a fan during the hate train so 2018-19 and it really got on my nerves how they painted this lady as the bad guy and she cleverly ran with it even creating an alter ego (chin-li) to flip the script but the industry was relentless. Nicki might have forgiven the city girls but I can never forget because I remember how bad it was when they when they thought it was the trend to diss nicki and shit on her. It’s mind blowing how the industry is now flip flopping and giving nicki her flowers when they were all taking turns bashing her. Nicki is in an interesting situation because she can’t cut off everyone because that’s pretty much most of the industry. She has no choice but to give them a chance to apologize or she can just retire with crown and call it a day. Nicki is one smart cookie
I cant imagine the trauma nicki went through during the hate train, I love her strength and I love her so much, let's all stream do we have a problem when it's out please💖🦄
Me too I didn’t care much for Nicki before the hate train but after that the more I learn about Nicki the more I like her not just as an artist but as a person 🥰
@@taofiqatumar7161 Like I remember her queen radio episodes when she was defending herself and her voice had so much pain in it and that Zane Lowe interview where she literally started crying. Like come on!! like idc call me extreme but I hated the migos and cardi b ever since I saw that shit. Like how cruel do you have to be to start a rumor on purpose to prop up someone else cuz that’s what it was. They needed to bring nicki down to push cardi up. The way ppl were taking about nicki back then it sounded like her career was over because the industry made it okay for all the newer artists and even the older ones to treat nicki like she was the scum of the earth. A lot of her so called friends were keeping their distance. They shunned her and dissed her at the same time. But she persevered. She has a fire in her that can that can never be put out.
@@flowersandperfume355 Not only that but also during that time only the barbs and a few of her friends were with her even the Rihanna’s and drakes and Beyoncé they all kept quiet none of them came out to speak on her as a person/artist.
Nicki is right for not holding grudges but giving them a collab is too much...they went way overboard with the Nicki hate and as a barb I disapprove any collab
Absolutely!!!! I love that she’s forgiven people, but doing a collaboration??? No way, I wouldn’t do it, if I was Nicki I would have tweeted, “soon as you outta ni$&@z lives is when they start to miss you” I swear every quote in certain songs she definitely predicted!!! It’s sad how certain people are using her….
I really had to roll my eyes at the City Girls sharing and replying to Nicki's tweets. I hope she never gives them a feature because they most certainly don't deserve it. Watch how you speak on people. Watch your mouths because you never know what you may need from someone.
I’ve been watching her interviews for DWHAP and honestly I am so proud of Nicki. The class she’s exuding makes it clear that she’s giving no energy to anything that’s irrelevant. God bless that woman.
I love that they acknowledged it and came together. Just because someone sets boundaries doesn’t mean that they’re mean-spirited, all Nicki wanted was honesty and accountability. Mad respect on both sides.
@@TheSweetie223 it means she’s grown enough to be the bigger person & put aside childish things. but ian 40 bitch so what’s the instagram again? since you wanna talk about somebody being ugly. I’m far from it.

I understand how Nicki feels. Too bad they took side on beefs between other people. Childish behaviors receive karma at some point. Glad Nicki did that very mature move. I wouldn't 😂😂😂
India Arie has always been a soulful woman that is authentic. So her stand against Spotify doesn't come as a surprise. As for Nicki Minaj and City Girls. No one holds grudges forever and honestly didn't see this as real beef. Remember Lady Leshurr came out publicly and admitted that one record label wanted to pay her to diss Nicki Minaj but she declined it.
She said she was team cardi, now all of a sudden to help their struggling careers, they want to work with Nicki. She did okay to forgive, but it's good that she doesn't work with them.
Everything India arie says is facts but it has to be artists who are big enough to make an impact like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, cardi b. A-list artists who move the culture is the only way boycotting Spotify will work
I agree. Artists alike Beyoncé talk a lot about ‘black girl magic’ and uplifting black women, but are silent now. I guess this is the consequence of capitalism - it causes all of us to compromise our integrity
@@adjoaosei87 it’s goes beyond capitalism.. capitalism does indeed play a major role HOWEVER we’ll never unite, stand together nor be united . the wyte man literally stole & stripped from us, from our soul, from our DNA unity. It’s literally beyond our control at this point.
Idk .. I don’t think big artists boycotting would make an impact. Hell, I’m sure their labels & the music industry would NEVER allow them to do such a thing. Unity & uniting literally is not apart of who we are anymore. Unfortunately it’s been stripped from our DNA
How the hell do you know lmao you don’t know her. She shows you what she wants you to see. Pathetic. I like celebrities as well but I never act like me and them were kicking it last weekend. You would have to know someone personally to say how their character is. You don’t, so…..
@@TheRealPattiMayonnaise the only solution is to create our own platforms. The only problem is that whenever we do, they get bought out by the competition or run out of business. It's tough but we'll get there.
I say boycott Spotify. Joe Rogan shouldn’t be allowed to say the things he says. The African Americans deserve the recognition for all that they do and have done.
I'm especially glad that India said what she said because I hadn't been paying much attention to the matter til I saw she, a bw, said something. Cuz them other artists were like "I can excuse racism, but I draw the line at misinformation about the vaccine!" Black Americans are extremely influential in the music industry. With that influence comes lots of money for platforms and other entities. I've been feeling and hoping for years now that black artists start using that power and influence to change the game and push for what we deserve.
It’s soo inspiring to see Nicki in a space where she’s forgiving people who did her wrong. I’m here for the growth, you don’t have to dislike Nicki to like Cardi and vice versa 🤷🏾♀️
What about all the people she did wrong? Especially the woman that was sexually assaulted by her husband She tried to pay the victim off , then when that didn't work used intimidation tactics 🙄 Smh just evil

We as a black community need to stand up for things like this!!! I’m with India Erie. You could never say anything about the LGBT community or the Jewish community or the Asian community without some backlash/ demonetisation or cancellation. But with us nothing gets done we get overlooked….
I'm sorry to say it but we're spineless🤷🏾..unless it's a bm and a cop is involved that's when we show our "power" but this needs to happen across the board.

I know a lot of black people that would say, I don’t care and keep it pushing. There is not enough unity in the black community. We could be taking over this world if we actually stuck together🤦🏿♀️
I have & will always STAND for & with India ... she has poured so much love & light into this world just for it not to be returned the same way. As for Nicki ... I'm loving ever era she shares with us ... she is a generous queen 👑🦄 Both of these women are on different ends of the spectrum for me (as a fan) but they are always teaching & showing us (especially black women) how to navigate through this world 🌎 Peace & Blessings to all of us Queens ❤🖤💚💛

“With everything that happened she didn’t have to give them any energy at all.” And she shouldn’t have. All of that venom and hate came from a real place. You can forgive something and still not invite someone into your circle who disliked you and hasn’t even met you.
I'm sorry for my ignorance, but I didn't know Mrs.India Arie and let me tell you. I couldn't be any happier for meeting her. I stand everything that she'd said. PERIOD! The fact that most of the money Spotify makes comes from black artists but much of this amount of money isn't going to black artists, but instead a man like that?!?! Speaks volumes!!!
@@Myaccount923 Lol. As someone who has pretty much trained myself to think deeper on stuff and not just go the fuk with the flow I can say that that it very true. She could be putting 20 on 10 or she could be delusional or bitter about her career or just an attention seeking opportunist. You just readily believe that these kinds of "movements" are genuine and not sinister in any way?
I don't have a spotify account so I don't support them in any way. The fact that they give this dude all that money to be that problematic is indeed very telling of who runs that platform. How in the world can you spew the N- word that many times and be unchecked?!? I stand with India Arie and I can only hope more artists do the same.
Nicki Minaj is such a forgiving person & I love that about her. The City Girls did so wrong about having to talk shit about her & then afterwards wanting a verse from her that is very distasteful asf……I will admit a Nicki X City Girl collab would be nice but I want for Nicki to do a song with Saucy Santana FIRST before the City Girls….Nicki been wanted to work with them but as as she seen the videos and tweets of course she’s gonna feel some type of way or be discouraged about working with them I know I would…but I’m glad she forgave them for what they said & wanted to move forward with everything.
If she forgave Cardi & Remy...then I will say she's very forgiving. But yeah, I want a song with Nicki & Cardi before the City Girls collab. Cahse Cardi actually liked Nicki. The City Girls dissed them before they got on. I don't respect that.
Yeah, I don't follow him like that so this raised an eyebrow for me. Why is this man paid all this money for his racist antics? Are they setting him up to be the next Rush Limbaugh or something?
I’ve only listened to his podcasts with guests I was genuinely interested in ie. Charlie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, Dave Chapelle, Louis Theroux etc. But this makes me see him as being way too comfortable in who he TRULY is… I support India 💐💐I wish she had played Nina Simone instead of that f-ing %*< 🤐let me shut up!
When Nicki entered the industry people were amazed by her versatility on different genres of music, revival of female rap, fashion, personalities and alter-egos that really distinguished her. I'm sorry but the City Girls came big on the industry with a feature from Cardi B about twerking... nothing wrong with that, but both are still consistent to this day.
They actually came in with a cosign from Drake and on Act up. After they got big then they did the feature with Cardi B. But they are not ever gonna be on Nicki's level. I wouldve paid em dust. I forgive you, but k bye. Lol
It does not matter what context he was using it in, he is more than capable of using the LETTER N to refer to the word along with everyone else. There is no reason for him to be even using the actual word period. I'm glad India has enough sense to care... there's so many black people who just let the stuff fly as if it's okay, and some even give out "passes".... idk who raised a lot of these folks but they failed them epically, and they are falling for the "it's just a word", "we use it so everyone else should too".... you don't see Hispanics or italians, etc. being okay with others using racial slurs towards them EVEN if they use certain terms amongst each other. Furthermore , for the people who try to use the "well it's in rap songs" excuse, NOT ALL BLACK PEOPLE USE THE N WORD! SOME Have successfully raised their children to understand just how ignorant and problematic the word is, therefore they don't use it. This is why it's so imperative to teach history, there's so many ppl disconnected and ignorant of not so ancient history in this country. That's exactly why schools & non blacks are fighting so hard to not teach the truth, & omit history all together. They want ppl to be able to repeat the past, and for US to just be walking around severely DUMBFOUNDED like "what's the big deal?" 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Exactly! For instance, I love Hip Hop, and I STILL will not say the N word. The N word is not a term of endearment, and when you hear other Blacks say it, you can still feel that word comes from a place of hate.
Nicki has never been the instigator in all this female rap beef. It’s either the fans trying to pit them against one another or another artist disrespecting her. I’m honestly looking forward to this year for Nicki. She seems more open to doing things. If Nicki and Lil Kim do a versus, it’s really gonna be such a legendary moment especially for women in hiphop. This should be a lesson to the city girls tho. Watch what you say and WHO u say it to because it will definitely catch up with you later on. You dissed Nicki all this time and NOW u wanna work with her. I’m glad Nicki forgave them, but I feel like she think she always gotta be the bigger person cause artists and fans r gonna come for her if she’s not. These upcoming artists can learn a thing or two about RESPECT. Nicki knows these artists talk mess behind her back then wanna smile in her face. So I understand why she don’t wanna work with some of them, it’s cause their fake, so she gotta protect her space and I support that. Love Nicki and her maturity

The only thing nicki is missing is the radio part, I agree with everything you just said. In 2021 she was the most streamed female or artist in 2020-2021 and i have feeling she will be again this year.
@@leecanash9538 Yes that’s that last part n that’s what I believe this year will bring. Lil baby on the 1st track very smart. He streams high numbers and all over the radio. I would even say if she could come out with something with NBA YOUNGBOY he always goes number 1 . His career is based off streaming and will open her up to a whole new audience of the new generation. Man I am excited about This year for her.
I don’t think Nicki has to make up with the radio stations bc we all know she’s black balled, imo Nicki has been out for long enough to not have to use radios or allat of interviews bc the barbz will forever have her back, i mean look at tiktok a new Nicki song or line trends every week.. imo bird gang is ppl who have adapted the low bar of hip hop that has been set from allat of new rappers atp it ain Cardi vs Nicki it’s bardi vs barbz
Shed a tear😢😭💕
@@TinaMarie Hey she actually does have a song with NBA youngboy..I think its called what the speed like or something.
Nicki is a real one…. Love her ❤️
THANKS INDIA ! I’m done with Spotify! We really need to create our own so we won’t have this problem
I can’t stop laughing at Jt diss song 😂 “ Nicki can’t rip no beat” .............. “groceries “. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 girl bye
Right! 😂😂😂😂😂😩😌
Nicki seems to have a good heart. I don’t understand why son many people dislike her. I think they just hate a strong black woman who doesn’t take any -it.
Because it's fake and not everyone is easily manipulated by this rapper/ACTRESS
@@everythingdivine go away loser. Stop being a hater and get a life.
Throw a rock hid her hand. Shes just like the City Girls, except she can actually rap
Nah Nicki has done wrong too, but I believe she’s grown as a person over the years, especially after becoming a mother
@@aishakamara3112 what wrong has nicki done? I’m confused.
For the most part I love how Nicki answers questions....she usually doesn't talk around things. So that is good.
I love Nicki Minaj I would say One of my favorite Nicki moments was when she was a judge on American Idol. A black girl came on singing a rock song Mariah Carey and all the other judges told her to do R&B Nicki Minaj was the only one who came to the girl’s defense.
Nicki is so forgiving. I love her growth, her movement, everything about her. She will keep growing and flourishing just because of her amazing aura.
FACTS!!! India Aria spoke FACTS! My prayer is that More Black artists Speak Out, Support & Stand WITH India! Change won't come Until we Make it Happen. As far as the CG's are concerned: Nicki Minaj showed how much of a True Queen she is for making peace with them. BUT, if I was Nicki, I WOULD NOT work with them. Selah & Peace
They own nothing
Nicki doing a Verzuz can only go two ways, Lil Kim or Missy Elliott because Foxy doesn’t have the catalog and I don’t think Remy Ma has enough strong songs to go toe to toe unless we count mixtape cuts.
They way the versus work there is nobody in Nicki’s lane it will have to be a male rapper. Kim was in another decade, so is Cardi.
And Cardi not even a factor lmao
Yea I feel the same. It can only be Missy or Kim and Nicki going against either of them would be iconic asf!
@@tanyap.1860 The way verzuz works is based on hits. Only two female rappers have the hits to go against Nicki. When it comes to Missy's and Kim's music they both have music that coincides with Nicki's music.
@@realnessalways2192 what you said! Cardi would never be a factor when Nicki is in the equation.
The problem with music platforms is that people tend to not really move from platforms. So leaving Spotify will only result in loss of revenue streams. But if I understand standing for your opinions. Much much respect to India Arie.
Spotify share price fell by 56% yesterday. Most artists get paid so little from streams that a move to Tidal, for example, which pays artists significantly more than Spotify would actually see them get more money with half the number of streams. People will move if the content moves.
She said they barely pay her anyway.
Not really there’s Apple Music and tidal. They’ll be fine
And Apple Music is the second most popular streaming service. Also the revenue isn’t much as India.arie have explained
@@eLKaymusic share prices fall & go back up that's just market sentiment. Where the artists are don't matter, it's where the customers be that matters. And most customers are hard to move, so that percentage is usually lost as the algorithms will serve customers something else.
India I’m with you💯💯💯🙌🏽
Let’s be honest The city girls are never gonna pop again💀
Wym they just popped a few months ago from Twerkalatour and another hit with Santana. Lol you live under a rock?
@@seldomphaith9843 no he’s definitely correct sadly. Their digging their own grave. If they keep digging on them n they talked shit abt the wrong ppl they’ll most likely be blacklisted/blackballed .
@@seldomphaith9843 The only thing I heard about these we're from bloggers telling that the budget was trash.. Their video itself never popped up on my timelines tho. Soo.. Nope.
Miami is messing around with diddy n I see she trends lightly. Because she knows it’ll happen, it’s possible .
@@seldomphaith9843 Exactly a couple months ago and I haven’t heard anything about that song with Santana nobody’s talkin about it💀
