    She is as amzing as a pianist as well as a transcriber of jazz music by ear. Many bright musicians as her are so underrated. I wish them the best!

    Like a lot of you who have commented all of which are very positive affirmations of her talent,I would like to express my appreciation for her incredibly artistic performances.I’ve listened to a lot of Jimin’s remarkable ensembles and she is certainly amazing.Besides being able to do everything under the sun with the piano, she has become a good vocalist and has even released a mini album .

      doesn't have to be, start with one song. try and transcribe it and use a lead sheet

      @@jancal9928 God so much. it is how all traditional jazz musicians learn't. Its about developing your aural, and real musicianship skills instead of just reading notes of a page without understanding the content of what your playing.
      there is a principle called Transcribe, Transpose Assimilate (TTA) that most jazz muscians follow. The point is to intergrate melodies and licks into every key so that you can actually freely improvise instead of play the same thing over and over.
      It starts with transcribing something you really like. if you ever hear a melody or lick that makes you go wow. start there transcribe it, transpose it and practice it fluently in every key, and then try and use in other songs. This will create your own personalized language that you can solo with.
      Singing melodies and practicing solfege is also key to help with this

      That "moon river" is most likely the best rendition I've ever heard. I didn't know it was a jazz piece.

      Yeah, she's a jazz pianist. Still though, yeah, her improvisations aer very good! She really does interpret the originals quite accurately.

    Now this right here is about as real as jazz piano gets! @Jimindorothy you're awesome. These tunes are beautiful. I love the way you play the piano. I can tell you like a lighter style of fingerings (the tone isn't hardcore; You aren't slamming the keyboard like Thelonious Monk would). You would seriously love trying a little of Paul Whiteman's "Rhapsody In Blue (1924년)". It's a symphonic jazz piece that may be often overlooked.

      You mean Rhapsody In Blue by George Gershwin? Perhaps the most popular American orchestral piece ever? Paul Whiteman was simply the bandleader, Gershwin composed it (and played the piano part at the first performance!). It is in no way overlooked.
