Hi John! Well that's absolutely terrible support, and just as I was thinking of going down the route of a Z21 for the Railcom compatibility! It's obviously supposed to work, otherwise it would *never* update! I find it all very strange indeed! Oh well! Thanks for the update! All the best, Ian.
Hi Ian, at least they did respond! With my first email, they stated that it is not meant to work, but when I questioned it, I just got a similar answer with no mention of why it would work sometimes as shown in the videos. I did give them the link to the videos, but I'm not sure if they looked at them. Cheers
Hi Paul, they were quite responsive to my emails, so that was good. I did question them as to why sometimes it would work, and then they just told me it does not work, and that's it. I did send them the links to my videos, but I'm not sure if they looked at them. Anyway, it is what it is!
Hi John, Shame about the outcome but I'm glad you shared the results. As you commented to John at Fouroaks maybe they have their reasons as you say something else could be in the pipeline which got me thinking, so a quick google established that the Z21 first appeared in 2012 which buy technology standards is Old! So the Z21 may have reached it's limits and needs a re-design, who knows? If there is something new coming, the feature you want may be implemented, only time will tell! All the best Tony.
Hi Tony, Yes, the Z21, like you say, has been around for a long time. The app is great, I liked the old one where you could overlay photos of your layout. All I can do is provide feedback, and if they act on it or not, that is their choice.

Wow, John! Not the best of outcomes. I have run into that at times... trying to convince some software to or electronics to work or do more than it is designed to do and ... nope. A brick wall is hit and the story is over for now. On the bright side, even if they closed you off, you have likely planted a bug in someone's ear and it will lead to some upgrading down the road.
