Fantastic video as usual MrB! Interesting second march, if anyone knows it please do share!
    The marches played were,
    1) 2:05-The Guards Chapel
    2) 4:33-Musician's Call
    3) 7:36-Eagle Squadron
    4) 11:09-Grandioso
    5) 14:11-The Vedette
( *March off & Return to Barracks* )
    6) 15:23-Scotland the Brave & The Black Bear
    7) 16:42-When the Guards are on Parade
    8) 20:14-Pride of Silent Street
(Sorry for #8! It's a joke! 😂😅😊). Great to see a Drum Sergeant leading up front of the Massed Bands, for those wondering It's LSgt C. Siwale, Welsh Guards. Also very interesting to see all the DMs Salute the Guards Chapel. A very nice touch to an already Spiffing ceremony!

Hello Delvin-Pedia! I was waiting for your March list, last year you had a Great List of "Silent" Marches on the way back Lol. Do you know if Chusa Siwale has passed his DM test yet? I wondered if he has & that's why he's Leading this & he's just waiting for his DM Uniform.

@@vickyRoyalHistory Hello My Dear Vicky! Haha, yes I did take a lot longer to post this list than usual. But, that was because I hadn't watch the video properly and only thought they played 3 marches. Oh was I wrong! 😂 7 marches in total, well 8 with my joke! Yes, I try to add a few for this event at the end, I usually keep my other ideas for when the occasional wet mount video is uploaded and I can provide a full list of "Silent" marches! 😂 But, for the sake of not using up my other silent marches ideas, I only added one!

I was pleased to be able to watch and listen to this very “There and Back” in person and absolutely delighted to meet the very courteous and distinguished MrB! Thank you very much MrB for taking the time to talk with me and for the advice for the following day (State Opening of Parliament) And, of course, for this video, which means I can relive the marches time and again!
I’m usually just an armchair viewer so this venture to see it “live” was a treat. I decided to keep up with the bands as they marched and have to tell you that, although I’m reasonably fit and have long legs, the strides they take must be a challenge for the bands-persons of shorter stature. But they manage perfectly well AND play an instrument tunefully at the same time! Respect!!
This video is a great reminder of a great time. Thanks again👍

    Another Great Video Mr B!! That time of Year Again, A couple of Points of Interest;
    1) With all the Upheaval in The Royal Family due to Illness, Looks like No Royal Presence on 1st Night. The DM's are not in State Uniform.
    2) Looks like we have a DS with the DMs tonight! from Nearest to Camera, DM S Potts Welsh Guards, DM Stu Laing Welsh Guards, SDM Gareth Chambers MVO Irish Guards, DS Chusa Siwale Welsh Guards, ASDM Scot Fitzgerald Coldstream Guards - I think I can't get a Good Look - or it maybe DM Dan Fairley Coldstream Guards, he's been lurking around Wellington Barracks lately.
    3) It was announced that this Years Trooping the Colour Parade was the Last one for SDM Gareth Chambers MVO, so I feel it safe to assume that this Musical Spectacular will also be his last. I'm sure he will be missed, with his Unique & Elegant Style & booming Northern Irish Accent Commands admired by many, Military & the General Public alike.
    4) SDM Gareth Chambers MVO always Salutes as he passes The Grenadiers Compound & The Guards Chapel. There is a Statue of Field Marshal The Earl Alexander of Tunis, an Irish Guard who distinguished himself as a young Platoon Commander on the Somme in WW1 winning a DSO & Serving in WW2 as a Great Field Commander in WW2. SDM Chambers MVO shows his Respect to a fellow Irish Guard. For the First time I've ever seen, all the DMs & the DS, also Saluted as they passed.
They maybe giving their Compliments To The Memorial Garden ‘Flanders Fields 1914-2014’ a gift from the Belgians to the British People. The raised circular bed stands for eternal life and also reflects the circular openings in the roof of the Menin Gate in Ypres & is filled with soil brought over from the seventy cemeteries in Flanders where so many Guardsmen found their last resting place.
Perhaps it is in Recognition of the Theme for this Years Musical Spectacular, " The Royal Military Chapel (The Guards Chapel)". Very fitting as Horse Guards Parade Ground is directly opposite The Guards Memorial, which Commemorates the war dead from the Guards Division and related units during the First World War, and of the Household Division in the Second World War and other conflicts since. The Household Cavalry have their own Memorial in Hyde Park.
As always a piece of Brilliant Videography Mr B, you're always in the Best Positions to catch it all. Your Time & Efforts are Greatly Appreciated. Thank You!

Thanks Vicky. I noticed the rehearsal for the combined salute before leaving from the barracks and also the Sergeant standing in for DM.
SDM Chambers only came to my notice on these parades this year. He is exceptional with his timing and every deliberate move he makes; a true role model. I shall miss him at the parades and guard changes if he retires.

Hi Vicky, a very informative comment, I did know some of the facts but (Earl Alexander of Tunis) but not all of what you said so it is always good to know more, thank you for that. That was great information about the Memorial Garden, thank you. I always like to watch the end of this event where the band all come together again seamlessly (well captured by Mr Baton) although I adore listening to the band playing I also like watching them march back not playing - still of course on their toes,, but getting a wee rest from playing. (While I think of it the Guards Memorial,I noticed from a recent video at Horse Guards Parade was being cleaned but I’ve not seen a clear/close view of it to see if there was a big difference) if I lived closer I would have gone to this event but for me it would mean flights and hotel although I plan to go next June again. How nice if I could just hop on a bus or train; I wouldn’t miss a thing. I also watched the Belgian parade, I sent a link to my granddaughter’s boyfriend as he is a Belgian.. I first heard this fact last year - something about the Belgian army being the only foreign force permitted to carry arms in the UK, obviously there is a reason for this, maybe connected to the World Wars but I’ve not admittedly tried to find out. I bet there’s a possibility that you know 🧐🧐😂😂. And yes, I too will be sorry to see SDM GC finish his appointment. I’m sure though that we’ll still see him drum majoring on occasion, not sure how that works. (I’ll bet you know that too! There’s definitely no mistaking his voice, if you hear it you know exactly who it is! I do think he is superb at his job but I’m biased as I’m from NI. (and my dad was an Irish Guard). I did respond to your comment in an earlier video telling me that you had indeed ‘spotted me at the Colonel’s Review and how you were all waving frantically but maybe you didn’t see it which is ok , I just didn’t want you to think I didn’t bother after you had sent me such a nice comment! All for now, hope you’re well 😊

@@vickyRoyalHistory question while I can hopefully catch you for an answer. In Windsor when the Irish guards march past the Irish memorial, the command is given for “eyes right ( or left). I have noticed that the officer ( I still get the titles confused)who wears a sash, white gloves and carries a rifle will cross over from the left of the guards to the right if they are going towards the castle, then after the, “eyes front” command is given, he will cross from right to left to assume his original position. Why is that?

The 3rd is a Drum Sergeant from the Welsh Guards & Corps of Drums, his name is DS Chusa Siwale & he is in training to become a Fully Fledged DM. He has been Leading Bands at The London Guard Changes & Windsor Guard Changes for just over a Year & is very Confident & Very Good. So Good I'm surprised he hasn't yet received his DMs Sash & extra Stripe.
