You pushed Reggae music to some places where Jamaican music is seen as Rebel Music. You converted the protesters into lovers of this Art form; A message of peace and prosperity. You opened the eyes of the British, our very own Slave Masters to see, hear and understand the pain we carry as descendants of Slavery; to listen to the heart of African people, and to hear the hope we have For our own people & as a Society. Many have fell in love with us the Jamaican people thanks to you. It was not your business to do, but you made a job out if it... & A living. We are happy it worked out for you. This is incredible to watch, I would really love to pick Rodigan’s brain and try to understand what it was really like to experience some of the stuff he has experienced. One of the things I love about Rodigan is the dubs that he possesses and the knowledge he has of the scene. It’s amazing. Rodigan is a true legend of the scene and also a legend of all the genres of music that have evolved from reggae music

Most Jamaicans people was looking 👌 forward to the clashed with you and Barry G,every Saturday night 🌙. I would say for a white man 👨🦳, he is really good with the reggae music. I am a middle aged white man in the UK and so I can't pretend to know how David Rodigan is received in Jamaica. I believe Jamaican people could easily spot a fraud or someone who is not genuine in their love of Reggae. I grew in the UK in the 70s and 80s and fell in love with the Ska revival of The Specials, Selector, The Beat. It brought unity to the youth when others tried to divide us. From there my love spread across to Reggae and the music David Rodigan was playing. Reggae music to me is about bringing people together.

I do remember the early days with Black Londoners Show with Steve Barnard and Tony Williams and Rodigan , and was so excited the night that Greg Edwards Soul Spectrum on Capital, Came on the Mike and Said we are introducing Roots Rockers Show and i remembered that he played the Michael Prophet Dub of False Teachings , while i was listening with my cassette player on Pause at home , indeed revolutionary times

Rodigan has a real passion for the music and the culture. He was revolutionary in the bad times of the 80s when black people had no hope, the music give them freedom.
I think Jamaica shud honor this man in a special way before he dies. David Rodigan never had to fall in love with Reggae or Jamaican music. But he did. His skin color never ever mattered to him when playing these painful slave cultured music. I think he shud be honored by the Jamaican Government.. I do remember the early days with Black Londoners Show with Steve Barnard and Tony Williams and Rodigan , and was so excited the night that Greg Edwards Soul Spectrum on Capital, Came on the Mike and Said we are introducing Roots Rockers Show and i remembered that he played the Michael Prophet Dub of False Teachings , while i was listening with my cassette player on Pause at home , indeed revolutionary times
