I wish "They" could stop the propaganda and lies about Burundi. Burundi is NOT the poorest country. We know or have seen countries where people are starving to death. On the contrary, there is enough food, plent of it, in Burundi. Maybe they don't have skyscrappers! But these don't necessarily make you a rich country. I have been to Burundi many times; it's a beautiful place, with beautiful people.

Burundi is not that poor it's because of wars and poor governance, and mismanagement,but now the current administration is addressing the same,it will soon rise with the support of the East African community,and other investors,in short it's a land of opportunities, watching from Nairobi

I spent an entire week in Bujumbura, but mostly with my host family. So, unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to buy a lot of food from markets or shops. In places like high-end restaurants or coffee shops you pay a lot more than in local markets. But even then, Bujumbura is cheaper than cities like New York, London or Paris. The coffee at Café Gourmand was €2-3, the entrance fee for the zoo was 40,000 Burundian franc (as I mentioned in the video) or around $10, but included an arts exhibition as well. And its worth mentioning that this was the price for foreigners. Locals would pay a lot less. I'll upload another video, in which I'm going to talk about prices in a local shop. Follow me for more 😊

It should be a wake up call for you to uplift your country economically. I remember when i was struggling on the streets of Kampala with poverty many guys mocked me. Their mockery is what propelled me to the little success i enjoy now.

If you do some research, if you ready how the gross domestic product-GDP is calculated, you will find that Burundi get loans at the lowest possible rates (concessionary loans) from international institutions (International Monetary Fund, World Bank) BECAUSE THE COUNTRY IS CONSIDERED TO BE POOR.
