My father lived in an Airstream for almost 20 yrs. He always loved to travel so if he wanted to go somewhere, he'd pack up and go. I saw him one weekend a month the rest he spent traveling. I'll always have fond memories of that trailer. The radio was located on the right side of the couch. We'd work outside with one of his 8 Tracks playing. The bath was in the rear/bed in the center/kitchen then table with couch that turned into a bed.
We bought our Bambi in 2001 we still love it and still use it and I never get tired of people walking past the half million dollar motor homes just to ask to see inside the cutest trailer ever made !

We loved the trailer it just got old making the table into a bed every night so when we saw how the airstream was laid out we knew it was the ticket ! The bed is not a queen I believe it’s a full , kinda cozy but when your camping it’s all good !

Though I really love to camp in tents because that’s how my Grandparents and whole family brought me up and is thus is very nostalgic and more self sufficient, I really want an airstream now… Nice presentation and I enjoyed how awesome the presenter explained everything. 💕
I camp and we never exchanged our tanks. When you buy a new trailer, it comes with brand new propane tanks which you can use for at least 10 years. If you exchange those tanks you will more then likely get old tanks that have been recertified. We made that mistake when we bought our first RV so now we have good tanks and go to place where they will refill the tanks.
Refilling the new tanks is a great option for sure and something we highly recommend! We included the information about the exchange opportunities in the event that a tank exchange is the only option and propane is highly needed.
Airstream is definitely the best 👌 I would definitely go for the 19 because it is a lot roomier ,but this little camper is absolutely perfect for 1 person camping. The Airstream brand is just a beautiful camper. No matter the size.

Great presentation. They were all aesthetically pleasing. I found something to like about each of them. I was blown away by the impeccable craftsmanship. It looks like they used all high end materials. I wonder if they do custom builds🤔
They don’t necessarily do custom builds, but there are tons of options and customizations you can have done. My family just got a Flying Cloud 19CB, so same floorplan as the 19 they show here but it has more upgrades such as better stereo, oven, ducted air solid roof lockers, different taillights, etc.
We have a 2018 22FB Bambi. He neglected to tell people that the bearings need to be repacked and brakes adjusted every 10,000 miles because the Bambi’s do NOT have neverjust brakes nor sealed bearings that do not need to be repacked. Also he failed to mention that due to lightness owners will have to replace interior rivets on a regular basis.
At an RV show the salesman also told us the exterior rivets should be inspected every 6 months and revealed if needed. Have you had a problem with those?
As someone who RVs full-time, I just want to say that they added some many thoughtful features that only people who camp would know we need! That's awesome. I love the look of Airstreams but they are way out of my budget. My tiny home on wheels is a Keystone RV. 😊

Great tour of the Bambi 16 RB! Clear and precise about many details that a newbie would benefit from. I read through the comments about size and price of this Airstream in comparison to Escape, Oliver, Bigfoot, or the small Casita or Scamp which I also viewed side by side. Those other trailers lack the modernity and classic style of the Airstream, as for price, well you get what you pay for. Fake wood paneling or carpeted walls do not seem like an option or a standard for me, that would be like staying at a cheap motel. What would be the point of that? Face it if you are buying an RV you can afford better quality - don't be cheap it shows. NOTE: I do not own an Airstream BUT I am planning to purchase this very model, for its size and quality. Not worrying about the cost in my opinion it is a justified expense.

Great video. I hope the product holds up well to match the design quality. And I had to laugh at 39:15 when he mentioned the knurled knob. Back in the early 80s in Army flight school my instructor showed me a similar item on the tail rotor of our helicopter. It was a knurled nut, but I thought he said neuro nut. So for about ten years I always thought of it as neruro nut until at some point I discovered the correct nomenclature.
a big plus with the 19/20 and 22 is that they have two ceiling fans - you open both covers and turn one on, leave the other off and close the outside door - it will circulate the air, one fan pushes the inside air out and the other pulls the outside air in - i prefer this then the using the a/c unit which is very noisy. at night using the fans you can feel the cool air coming in while sleeping (like a ceiling fan in a house) without the noisy a/c unit running.
excellent walkthrough, very informative !!! My brother work as a construction manager, sometime weeks on end . A 20fb would be perfect for him, a nice kitchen, comfort bedding , good size table. It would be perfect if airstream placed a small washing machine in the kitchen sink area, move the stove and microwave next to the fridge and a sink beside which. . OMG imagine that whole counter top in the back. the pipe line for the washing machine is shared with the sink. what might be a problem is weight distribution though , a 159 Ib Splendide washer might be too much if placed in the back . Anyway just sharing my thoughts
You can buy small portable washing machines that have a good spin cycle, and would fit... then hang clothes to dry. They also make small portable dishwashers that wash about 4 cups, bowls, plates and utensils per cycle.
I absolutely love Airstream, we were able to tour the plant in Jackson City, just amazed at the quality. Hope someday to have one! Very informative video, thank you!

I have a Jeep gladiator and I’m looking for a Basecamp 20 but they aren’t available until next year if I order now soo... I shall wait upon the Lord and I’m excited to see what only He can do... UPDATE (11-7-2020) Drove all the way to Vermont yesterday and back to pa to pick up a little guy Max since that’s what I can afford right now since no basecamps are available anyways to buy and got home safe after a 19 hour trip and now just tried to disconnect the camper from my truck and broke the hand crank right off my jack trying to disconnect because once the salesmen got their money they wanted nothing to do with me and gave me no instruction and I never hauled a camper and now I sit stranded with a broken jack and the truck is half on and half off the ball so now I have no vehicle... All I can do is cry... now I wish I had never even wasted 5 years researching campers and attempting such a dream because it quickly turned into my worst nightmare

I wish I could unload this little guy for it’s all been a living nightmare! Even down to the notary being out sick and cancelling every appointment for the last 3 weeks for me to get my taxes paid on it and get it inspected! Now it sits at Wiest Rv uninspected and paperwork pending even though I paid it in full I still have to pay the taxes on it here in pa since I purchased it in Vermont! Well thank God it’s winterized! If an airstream van is available I would be mighty tempted to sell this farm and purchase it and get on with a new life away from all the sad memories here of loosing my parents and precious dogs and head out in my dream Rv~ an airstream 👍❤️😊 Well with God Absolutely ALL things are possible so I will see what He can do for me! For it is no secret what God can do 👍🎶💃❤️😊☀️😎
Love your presentation and the vessels, one technical matter. You need different lavalier mic's if you do this fairly often you might try rode wireless GO II. You are very good on camera, knowledgeable, friendly, you speak clearly and the room is well lit and the camera work is were it needs to be. You have no background noise, audio is very difficult if not impossible to clean up after the fact. Especially when the audio peaks and drops off. No criticism but I found myself straining to hear your superb presentation.
The only problem I have is the fact that the beds only have one accessible side, one side is always against the wall. The 22FB at least, should have been designed in a way that the bed is accessible on both sides. Great video!
Never thought of that. Good eye. Yes, for the person sleeping against the wall it would be difficult to crawl over your partner just to go pee at night. I guess whoever has the biggest bladder sleeps against the wall.
I don’t know anything about RVs and I’m interested in buying one one day but what happens when the LEDs burn out… Can regular sockets be installed? that way we can just change out LED bulbs easily? Can the TV, microwave, stove, tank/battery monitor be replaced when it breaks? Where do you go to replace these things?
We are waiting for a 2021 19CB Bambi - it seems the bathroom has changed somewhat from 2020 - no longer has a clothesline? and the cube to sit down on has gone? Also the shower control has moved somewhat? I see there is now a compartment for shampoo etc in the shower? Did I see a towel bar in the shower area? In the corner bedroom is there still an electrical outlet near the tv and the usb outlets? Thank you - get tour of the models. We are excited and can't wait to get our Bambi.
My neighbor wanted some more space as he and his wife are now working from home. Instead of building out the garage they bought an Airstream and use it as an office when home and take it on road trips too. I want one!
I know Airstreams are well made, how airtight are they compared to regular trailers? Unfortunately, I am allergic to wood smoke. Haven’t been able to go camping for many, many years because the smoke coming in gets to me. Are they somewhat airtight when everything’s closed up? I would love to be able to camp again!
So, let's talk about the rivets that are used to build them. Do you still recommend checking the seals on all of them every 6 months and resealing. That's alot of rivets and maintenance. Just asking was told that by RV salesman at an RV show and he broke the sale for us.

LOL Airstreams sell a lot of Bambi's to first time RV buyers. Almost all of them move up to a larger trailer very quickly.

Amazon sales a small bucket sized & collapsible washing bucket/machine. That could be an option. No need to worry about holding water weight.

If an airstream van is available I would be mighty tempted to sell this farm and purchase it and get on with a new life away from all the sad memories here of loosing my parents and precious dogs and head out in my dream Rv~ an airstream 👍❤️😊

Love your presentation and the vessels, one technical matter. You need different lavalier mic's if you do this fairly often you might try rode wireless GO II. You are very good on camera, knowledgeable, friendly, you speak clearly and the room is well lit and the camera work is were it needs to be. You have no background noise, audio is very difficult if not impossible to clean up after the fact. Especially when the audio peaks and drops off. No criticism but I found myself straining to hear your superb presentation.

The only problem I have is the fact that the beds only have one accessible side, one side is always against the wall. The 22FB at least, should have been designed in a way that the bed is accessible on both sides.

Never thought of that. Good eye. Yes, for the person sleeping against the wall it would be difficult to crawl over your partner just to go pee at night. I guess whoever has the biggest bladder sleeps against the wall.

If you need that, you can go to a larger size trailer. Bambi is the most compact. You can go up to 33 foot tandem axle.

I don’t know anything about RVs and I’m interested in buying one one day but what happens when the LEDs burn out… Can regular sockets be installed? that way we can just change out LED bulbs easily? Can the TV, microwave, stove, tank/battery monitor be replaced when it breaks? Where do you go to replace these things?
We are waiting for a 2021 19CB Bambi - it seems the bathroom has changed somewhat from 2020 - no longer has a clothesline? and the cube to sit down on has gone? Also the shower control has moved somewhat? I see there is now a compartment for shampoo etc in the shower? Did I see a towel bar in the shower area? In the corner bedroom is there still an electrical outlet near the tv and the usb outlets? Thank you - get tour of the models. We are excited and can't wait to get our Bambi.

I know Airstreams are well made, how airtight are they compared to regular trailers? Unfortunately, I am allergic to wood smoke. Haven’t been able to go camping for many, many years because the smoke coming in gets to me. Are they somewhat airtight when everything’s closed up? I would love to be able to camp again!

How well does the 16 travel in the mountains during winter? What is the towing weight?
So, let's talk about the rivets that are used to build them. Do you still recommend checking the seals on all of them every 6 months and resealing. That's alot of rivets and maintenance. Just asking was told that by RV salesman at an RV show and he broke the sale for us.
