Other than a lot of story inconsistencies, how was Kung Lao's revenant alive after Shao Kahn threw him into the sea of blood; the whole past and present character aspect in 11 has a lot of plot holes because Sonya shot Kano in the past and that erased Kano in the present but when Shao Kahn does something similar to Kung Lao his Revenant is still alive. A hard piece of evidence is when Shao Kahn broke Lui Kang's legs on the ship which affected his revenant, so the plot is very picky at what's convenient. As a side note, can we also put Lui Kang at the 5 or 6 death count because having your legs brutally broken means he's just about to die slowly both from the past and present.
Technically Liu Kang died 6 times because the four you mentioned, plus Shao kahn killed young Liu Kang on the ferry, causing revenant Liu Kang to die before his fight with raiden. Everything else seemed accurate, excellent video

Thecnically, Sindel died 5 times. Her first death was counted twice. When raiden altered the timeline, he didn’t alter her death so she was still dead.
I'm sick and tired of seeing people getting killed in the process, especially Hsu Hao. I don't care if he's hated. Just give him a good-looking design and give him a good backstory so he can be treated differently
Just pointing out that Kitana's MKX ending reveals that she did in fact survive Armageddon, and, if I remember correctly, Bi Han claims in MK11 that the soulnado didn't kill him
There's an innacuracy at least with Shao Kahn he's died at least three times twice in MK9 (he was resurrected by Quan Chi) and in MK11 Aftermath maybe same case with Resurrection in the original timeline as well but it was a clone in the opening scene of Deadly Alliance so it should technically count too maybe
Everything I’ve read said Quan Chi “healed” Shao Kahn in MK9 rather than saying revived, so I took that as not a death but I can see the argument against that idea.
All the pre OG MK tournament deaths should not be counted again, since Raiden sent the message to his past self when he was at the tournament in MK9 so Sindel, Onaga and Scorpion have 1 less death. Also past Kung Lao didn't die during Aftermath, because if that happened, his revenant would have disappeared (like Kano)
bi-han has only died 4 since in the soulnado thing he did not die mk11: “you were killed, swallowed in a storm of souls” “quan chi’s creations do not die easily” he did not die since he was there for that fight
I really wouldn't count Havik. Being a chaoseealmer, death really means nothing to him. He'd just pop back up in Chaosrealm like, "Well, that was fun. Who's for chinese?" I think in this case you also have to consider Onaga's death twice, all the deaths from MK mythologies sub-zero, etc... and if it is considered the same deaths from different timelines like this, so Liu Kang has infinite deaths at Raiden's hands
You could make an argument for Kung Lao surviving the sea of blood, otherwise his revenant self would’ve ceased to exist long before Shang Tsung could’ve gotten to the keep

This list is very hard to consider, putting alternate universes aside the Midway era has a weird case of retconning and convoluting a lot of character deaths. Heck Johnny's deaths happened during 3 but in DA he says that he never really died, it was all a stunt apparently. Necromancy also makes character deaths harder to pin down because from what we're supposed to believe, Mileena died to Kitana twice at MK 2 and 3 only to be resurrected by Shao Kahn and then Shinnok, Jade kills Reptile after they encounter Kitana in MK 3 but Shinnok revives him back, and I don't know if this was just a show off thing but why does Sheeva have Motaro's head in 11 when Raiden killed him in 9 unless he was revived off screen. There are so many inconsistencies that it's hard to separate what's canon, unclear, or fan theory like Mythologies; Midway era Fujin did self-destruct but revived/regenerated himself just like Raiden did in Deception but in Aftermath he said that Bi Han ran away from him.
Based on the date this video was uploaded, I believe you have forgot that Shang Tsung died in the finale of Mortal Kombat 1, which makes him died 5 times in total.
Kung Lao did not die in the sea of blood by shao khan. As we saw from Kano, if the past version does, the present version dies as well. When shao khan threw him in the sea of blood, the revenant kung Lao was still alive before Shang tsung snapped his neck. And on that note, Shang tsung and quan chi were both killed/disintegrated by Liu Kang in mk1.
I feel like Kung Lao’s fate was sealed when he went into the Sea of Blood, but I can see the opposite side of the argument. Also, I’m just not sure about Titan Shang and Quan. They were defeated and erased from that timeline, but it’s a bit open-ended.
Li Mei and Frost are in a weird spot, I guess, because Deadly Alliance had arcade endings that are mostly canonical. Li Mei gets sacrificed, returns corrupted, and then dies in Armageddon (like, right at the start, jeez). Frost is frozen by the amulet, but it's flimsy whether this is outright death or... hibernation(?), but in 11 her brain gets fried to shut down the rest of the cyber Lin Kuei, so... 3-ish deaths. It's weird like that.
Li Mei didn’t get sacrificed. Bo’ Rai Cho saves her but she was corrupted by the process so she didn’t actually die at all here. I’d also count Frost getting frozen in DA by the amulet and in Deception by Subzero as deaths
They only had his soul taken … and then Shang Tsung told Shao Kahn to leave them be, so not confirmed dead. It’s ridiculous but with gods, it’s hard to definitively say they died.
Since you considered deaths of characters who died in your undead versions, I think it might be worth considering deaths of characters who were already presented to us as undead... for example, Drahmin is a human who became an Oni after dying ... so he died 1 more time on this list
I noticed you didn't include Geras, who has canonically "died a thousand deaths" (as stated in MK11 Chapter 11), but I guess that's kinda cheating because he's a "fixed point in time" rather than an immortal like Raiden.
5:38 This shouldn't count because inro dialogues aren't canon 6:20 Yeah, this counts because MK11 and MK11 Aftermath are technically two different timelines. And Kronika technically dies every time she gets killed in an arcade ending because MK is now a "multiverse". It doesn't even make any sense at this point. I really hope they're done with those multiverse shenanigans after MK1.
What did I get wrong? What did I miss? Also, I hope you're having a great day ❤ - Edits are ⬇

Hmmm Scorpion?
Aside from NRS doing Sindel wrong, they always give her hella bodies before she’s taken out😭
Based on the date this video was uploaded, I believe you have forgot that Shang Tsung died in the finale of Mortal Kombat 1, which makes him died 5 times in total.
Now you need to do a kill count list video :)
I agree!
death is a joke in MK universe. its like the case with Kenny from South Park
Lmaooo
Shouldn't all of the Liu Kangs we see in the montage of fights with Raiden in MK11 be included, since we know he was killed every time?
Cyrax dies 3 Times. you forgot he shut down that factory along with himself in MK11.
It felt like more of a shutdown than a definitive death to me plus there’s a dialogue between Sub-Zero and Sonya mentioning “rebooting Cyrax”
I’m curious to see how (if at all) this will change after Khaos Reigns on teusday
Interestingly enough, meet your maker means two things in this world.
Dare I ask the other?
@@FAiRWAYx the titan of time
Sonya and Jax are seen in the prison stage of Deception which contradicts their deaths in Deadly Alliance.
it doesn’t contradict anything lol. they’re just there for fun easter eggs as they are canonically mind controlled minions of Onaga at that point
@@omarslayz was going off the dome on it. thanks for clearing it up.
Wouldnt Kronnika have the most since MK1 has all those titan versions of the characters?
The MKX comics are widely agreed to be non-canon.
You forgot that Raiden died with Fujin in Aftermatch
They only had his soul taken … and then Shang Tsung told Shao Kahn to leave them be, so not confirmed dead. It’s ridiculous but with gods, it’s hard to definitively say they died.
Since you considered deaths of characters who died in your undead versions, I think it might be worth considering deaths of characters who were already presented to us as undead... for example, Drahmin is a human who became an Oni after dying ... so he died 1 more time on this list
Shujinkos ending wasn't cannon. He never killed Onaga. Which is why he's there in Armageddon
He ended up bound to the Netherrealm which is akin to death is it not? Or am I completely off base with that?
I think you forgot Shaolin monks with Jade and some other characters
Scorpion Has Died In Deadly Alliance in His Own Ending
well, death in mk nothing means, characters may die around 666 times and still feel fine
You're not wrong
@@FAiRWAYx 🥹🥹🥹
27:51 You forgot his death in mk1 (Titan version)
Did frost not die in Armageddon? it's implied raiden killed her in 11 to stop the cybers
15:15 you forgot mk4 Jared ending she ran off the cliff
I thought shao kahn was killed in mk2 and mk3? They say shao kahn is no more, and in many of the endings it shows he is dead in some way.
Liu Kang defeated but not killed him per se. He more or less withdrew to Outworld, or, in MK2, stayed in Outworld and had to hold the loss.
Why's the poison controversial?
He was a normal human at that point
What about a video guessing which MK characters could be DLC if the guest characters didn’t exist?
Kontent no doubt
Real recognize real 🤝
@@FAiRWAYx I know right
Didn’t kronika technically canonically die an infinite amount of times?
I noticed you didn't include Geras, who has canonically "died a thousand deaths" (as stated in MK11 Chapter 11), but I guess that's kinda cheating because he's a "fixed point in time" rather than an immortal like Raiden.
5:38 This shouldn't count because inro dialogues aren't canon
6:20 Yeah, this counts because MK11 and MK11 Aftermath are technically two different timelines.
And Kronika technically dies every time she gets killed in an arcade ending because MK is now a "multiverse". It doesn't even make any sense at this point. I really hope they're done with those multiverse shenanigans after MK1.
Didn'' Cyrex also died in mk11 when he electrocuted himself?
😎👍🏻
One error, the MKx comics have been retconned
They really pick and choose what’s canon and what’s not in the comics
With all due respect, the Khaos Reigns edition will be a different story to update.
Kenshi died in Armageddon and in the krypt from mk11
Due to mk1 making every mk11 ending canon (With the branching timelines) shouldn’t kronika have died dozens of times from every character respectively
Didn’t Shao Khan die at the end of Mortal Kombat 2 and Mortal Kombat 3? Liu Kang’s endings in both games were canon
Is intro dialogue really canon tho.
So can you include deaths from movies and animation?
Perhaps in another video but this is game-specific
Hsu Hao has died like 3 times
a lot characters die in Shaolin Monks like Goro, Kintaro, Scorpion, and various others
Shaolin Monks doesn't belong to the Main canon, it's just a retelling of MK2
