Personal Services with Dame Julie Walters

Finally today a bit more controversy from a movie that was initially banned in Ireland, Personal Services. The Terry Jones directed British comedy was released on this day (15/05) in 1987 in US cinemas and is based on the true story of Cynthia Payne. The film stars Dame Julie Walters and earned her a BAFTA nomination for Best Actress in 1988. Oscar winning Sir Roger Deakins was director of photography for the movie which is witty and somewhat overlooked now.
