Come on guys he spent half a season mourning and the excuse was that he was grieving for his mother and then a far second was Cas, but look at the actions, he went from mopping and suicidal to a happy little cowboy when CAS came back. And don’t give me that it was the little hope he needed, we’ve seen Dean slightly happier before, and there was nothing slight about this his mother was in an alternative universe with the Devil but he’s happy and chipper now that his angel was back.

In season 12 Cas told Dean he wanted to bring a Win for him. What he doesn't realize is He, himself is Dean's Big Win. In season 13 Cas is still trying to bring a Win for Dean. This Win theme will resolve in Season 14.
They even had Cas say that line "I'm your huckleberry". Dean knows thats the truth but Cas said it casually, with out even realizing the truth behind it.
You can see Dean go through the five stages of grief in the first couple of episodes. First Denial, he had to double check to make sure Cas was dead, even though he was the one to put Cas on the table and cover him with the sheet. He flips back and forth between anger and bargaining, begging chuck to bring them back and getting angry when he doesn’t, pleading again with him, then the scene when he’s yelling Sammy about being unable to forget Cas dying. Depression, he loses interest in all the things that previously he enjoyed, like going to clubs and being with girls; he takes his own life for Christ sake and he doesn’t even hesitate to do so, and Billie, actual death, is the one to finally tell him that he’s denying all of his feelings and is depressed. He finally goes into acceptance when he tells Sam that he’s been lying to him about being fine, that he needs help. The only thing that gets him back to his normal self is when Cas is brought back, you can see the disbelief and astonishment on his face when Dean gets to see Cas again. Long story short, the writers did a great job with writing Dean’s grief and Cas is the reason he wants to live, thanks for listening to my TED talk

Hey Guys, I know I promised the second part would be up soon, but I have been horrendously busy over the summer and have just not been able to find the time to make it. Juggling work, prep for college, and other things left me with little free time. I am heading to college in around a week, and therefore will not be able to make part 2 before I go to college, like I'd previously hoped for. Well... you see the same thing between police officers that have been partners for years. Love between men who have shared fear and stress is common and isn’t the least bit gay. I had a female partner that in many ways I was closer to than my wife. I also had a male partner that if he called me right now and needed it I would burn the fucking world and drink the ashes. So.. maybe the writers are promoting the possibility of a romance.. Or maybe the folks seeing it have never loved a partner who would or has stepped in front of danger for you...

Well... you see the same thing between police officers that have been partners for years.
Love between men who have shared fear and stress is common and isn’t the least bit gay.
I had a female partner that in many ways I was closer to than my wife.
I also had a male partner that if he called me right now and needed it I would burn the fucking world and drink the ashes.
So.. maybe the writers are promoting the possibility of a romance..
Or maybe the folks seeing it have never loved a partner who would or has stepped in front of danger for you...
